Phil rubbed his fists against his eyes and wandered towards his front door in a zombie-like way. He was half asleep, meaning he wasn't thinking straight. He lazily opened his front door before gasping when he looked at who was standing there.

Dan was smiling widely with a gift bag in his hand. "Hey." He whispered, practically inviting himself in as he walked straight past Phil into the kitchen. "Tea?"

"Sure." Phil responded, still in awe at Dan's presence. Phil grabbed two mugs: the Hello Kitty one and a Pokémon one. He then turned on the kettle and waited for it to boil. He poured the water into both cups before mixing and giving Dan the Hello Kitty mug.

"You remembered how I like my tea after all this time?" Dan mumbled in awe.

"Of course I did."

"That's adorable and amazing at the same time." Phil wandered back into the living room, his Pokémon mug in his hands. He placed it down on the table and sat down on one of the sofas.

"Was this your surprise?" Dan enthusiastically nodded, making Phil smile brightly. "It surely did surprise me."

"Open the presents!" Dan took one well-wrapped box out of his gift bag and handed it to Phil. Phil gently pulled apart the wrapping paper to reveal the My Neighbour Totoro DVD.

"Thank you so much!"

"You said it was your favourite a while ago and I wasn't sure if you had it? I hope you don't."

"I don't!" Dan pulled out another present and handed it to his friend. It was smaller this time and wrapped less precisely. Phil opened it up and inside was a small lion stuffed toy.

"I called it Lion.. you know.. after you?"

"That's cute! Thank you."

"There's two more presents but only one of them is an actual item." Dan laughed, pulling out another parcel. Inside was a purple Gengar shirt which Dan claimed would look 'adorable' on Phil. "Now for the final present.."

"Thank you so much." Dan smiled back at his friend but inside his stomach was flipping. He wasn't entirely sure how Phil was going to react to his next 'present'.

"I want to move to Manchester. I want to live with you."

"You want to live with me? But you don't have a job or anything?"

"I can find a job. I want to live with you, Phil. I don't like our friendship being long distance."

"Dan, of course you can live with me."

"Oh wait, I forgot something..." Dan whispered before leaning forward and pressing his lips against Phil's.

It caught Phil off guard but it was amazing anyway.
