"This is heaven." Kamikiri joked, stuffing his face again.
"Is it? It's too spicy for my taste. Is there any coffee?" Monoma dismissed dabbing a napkin on his tongue.
"Pft, weak *ss." Katsuki chuckled, sliding a glass of milk to the astonished lieutenant. Not bothering to look back, he sat near his mother, casually licking the chili powder off her fingers.
"I'm not weak! I prefer bitter foods over spicy, okay." Monoma defended, turning to his seatmate with a smile.
"Don't you agree, Alisha-san?"
"...Alisha-san?" Monoma called out, facing the teen who was slowly turning red by the second. The girl who had just confessed her feelings for not more than a few hours, hoarsely cried for some water.
--
"Okay, so it's decided that Bakugou isn't allowed in the kitchen anymore, right?" Mina mused, glancing between all the food victims- those who didn't expect the food to be so spicy.
"It's a hard choice, it does taste good, maybe if we intervene just before he adds the pepper?" Sato voiced, currently downing a carton of milk.
"Hard pass bro, he'd just get pissed that you forced him out of the kitchen before he finished." Kirishima sighed, taking another bite of the spicy hotpot.
"Yeah! It might not look like it, but he is very passionate about cooking!" Kaminari praised, eating the safe ice cream Lunchrush had prepared.
"We got a new addition. Seems that she thought she would be able to 'handle it'." Monoma sighed dragging something behind him.
"Alisha-san?"
"Water, cold... water-"
After coughing out the budding heat inside of her she noticed Neito got a (weak) side punch from Komori.
"You dragged her all the way here and didn't give her anything to drink? Shroom! Shame!"
-
"... won't it be better to just ask him to tone down the spiciness? Kero? He did so for Eri, and that was because she asked him, unlike you guys." Tsu bluntly stated, tilting her head slightly as she returned to those who were sensible enough to ask Lunchrush to make something for them.
'Harsh...'
"Guys she has a point, you don't have to force yourself if it doesn't sit right with your body." A greenette purred, happily taking the honors of eating the excess Bakugou's dishes.
"Midoriya, you should be the last person to say that."
"..."
Brown eyes quietly observed the joyful atmosphere around her. It felt odd. Her fingers pressed into her swollen eye, that still felt puffed from when she bawled out in the lobby.
"Ah-" Her face flushed, although it was hard to see. Shaking repeatedly to not relive those embarrassing moments. Alisha was now sober.
"Alisha-san are you okay?" Kirishima called out, resting a comforting hand on the flustered teen's shoulder.
"Mmm." She dismissed with a sincere smile.
Although she was thankful that no one held any malice towards her, the way she handled the stress was just embarrassing on her end.
Wasn't it?
"Guys? I have something to say..." She announced as all eyes, that were in the kitchen, fell upon her next words.
--
"That bath was exactly what I needed." Mirko sighed in content, rotating her shoulder. Once in a while there was an audible pop. Which she was more than happy to hear. Tiny droplets of water fled from her head and splashed onto the half carpeted floor. Leaving a small trail in her wake. This didn't go unnoticed by her feathered friend as he casually dropped a towel on her head.
"Really?" Hawks asked with a playful grin, lowering himself towards the ground once he realized how high he was.
"Yes really. Who knew sitting on something soft for so long would make my muscles tense!" Rumi laughed before snapping back at the person who wasn't supposed to be there.
"Hang on- why are you at the girls' side of the bath?"
Her eyes narrowed into a dangerous glint, and she used her free hand to wrap her hair into the towel, in an attempt to stop the budding puddle. In Keigo's eyes, her arm blocked her face for a short while before revealing a red gaze that could kill... Shouldn't he give a response quickly?
Flying backwards at a good distance, he played the most amicable smile he can make at that moment, before justifying his presence.
"If you want to be technical about it, I'm in the hallway's intersection, also I was told alongside a few to deliver some news."
Excitement oozed from his posture. It must have been contagious too as Rumi couldn't help her curious smile as she dropped her fist.
"News? What's up is Fried Chicken on the menu or something?" She joked walking towards the blond.
"Wouldn't that be good news. However, it's something different. The kid said she's ready."
There was silence after those words as if the room had to process what he was saying.
"Ready? Like right, right now!!"
"Yes, so you-"
The rabbit heroine couldn't help her excitement either as she ran towards her assigned room. That was until she was called out...
"What's up?" She replied facing the blond whose expression was unreadable from where she was standing.
"Be... careful of who you trust okay?"
--
"... Twice-san? What are you doing here?" Hagakure questioned, poking at the adult who had made a fort right in front of the barricaded doors. Ojiro and Nejire followed suit not long after, with eager teens behind them.
"Finally! Every-time I think of that last scene I get goosebumps! Now we can watch the rest!" Denki cheered, walking alongside a blond who shared his excited expression. Like a mirror.
"Then what does that make your mother? I get goosebumps on goosebumps! At this rate the excitement would get to my head and I'll pass out for the duration of the movie!" A small sigh escaped her lips, upset at the thought of missing a detail like last time.
"Doesn't this feel more like a series than a movie?"
"You don't have to worry about fainting Kaminari-san." A voice echoed loud.
A shadow soon descended gracefully next to the blonds. With a grin she raised her hands to her lips, tucking away her red hair. At that moment tuffs of smoke appeared at the front, capturing everyone's attention.
"You will all be given a curfew, at least for the cinema room. To prevent any fatigue or dry eyes. Also, you don't have to show up every-time to watch." Alisha explained to everyone, her eyebrows scrunched in concentration.
"There'll be replays of the episode 2 times a day for those who missed it. No need to frown so much." A voice giggled nearby.
It was unfamiliar, nearly everyone's head turned towards the Kaminaris, who was just as surprised by her intervention.
"Oh Diane! You're here already?" An excited smile graced her freckled face, calling out a name no-one heard about.
"Hi, Ali! I'm the backup for today. After that event we decided that one person babysitting a cast of superbabies isn't the wisest choice. Besides you have some paperwork to do, what were you thinking? Switching them into several different reaction rooms and destroying the screens! What if one of them got stuck in the multiverse?!"
Her nagging continued for quite some time after that. Those who were once interested (in who she was) lost interest as her chiding continued. Clapping her hands, she was right besides Alisha before trapping her into a hug. Tall. Diane was tall. A head taller than Alisha at least, and her dyed red rear hair stood out against her (natural) ombre.
"Sorry Di," Was all Alisha could muster as she hugged her bff.
Their hug didn't last long, and Diane separated to officially introduce herself sporting a very comfy looking dark academia.
"Hello everyone, you can call me Diane. I'm going to be your co-host. It may take a while for you to warm up to me. But that isn't an issue. I'm just here to make sure she doesn't break herself for your enjoyment. I mean it in a good way!" She admitted as Class 1-A all had a similar thought the moment she started talking.
'She's pretty blunt.'
'She's pretty!'
Well nearly everyone of them.
As if she heard their unsung words a smile crept upon her face as she swiftly removed the barricades, gesturing to the flustered Alisha to open the door. Which she did.
"LADIES FIRST!!" Mina roared, dashing through the doors as twice looked flabbergasted. "No fair!" He cried as Toru sped past alongside all the girls of Class 1-B. At his left he noticed Eri, looking at the bright doors with a weary expression as she held onto Lunch Rush.
"Hey Eri!" He crept towards the child before lifting her in his arms. "Out of the way pheasants! Queen Eri is taking the stage!" Eri's face turned pallid in less than a second as she gripped onto Twice's mask like a frightened kitten.
"B-wha?!" She shrieked, her pale face flushing red as those who heard played along and parted for her to enter. Once the bright lights ran over her silver hair she stared gobsmacked.
It wasn't really as grand as an opera house, if we're honest, it was like a fusion of the early reaction rooms, with inspiration of an opera house. But just maybe it was the large U-shaped couch, or the funky glasses at the door, or the plush animals scattered all over the place like a wonderland, or the bean bags in the center all facing the gigantamongus screen- Eri tried to shake her head out of its stupor.
'Gigantamongus isn't a word...' She huffed, smelling something similar to candy apples near one of the back walls. She was still sitting on Jin's shoulder, so she had the greatest vantage point than everyone else. Well besides All Might.
'I'm a queen.' She reminded herself, fanning her red face and pointing towards all the sweets lined in wait to be eaten.
"T-to the candy apples!" She giggled, as Twice happily followed along.
--
"YES! Free food!" Tetsutetsu cheered, grabbing a bucket of chicken before plopping on a beanbag. Awaiting for the screen to turn on. Suddenly his vision turned dim. "Hah?!" He exclaimed, snatching the hand that had caused this.
"Were you not listening? Alisha said that we must wear these things if we're in the reaction room." Kendo huffed, putting a spare on non herself.
Soon everyone that wanted to see what happens next as quickly as possible were seated and anxiously grinned as the screen came to life... Gracing their anticipation with a recap.
~O~
"This is it..." Midoriya mumbled underneath his breath.
A huge smirk made its way to Midoriya's face before he looked up at the sky, extending his arms outwards.
"You guys just started a fire you cannot put out!!!"
"And we're back woohoo! I've been hallucinating this scene for so long!"
"Dude... obsessions aren't healthy."
"You should be the last person to say that, isn't that a Stain cosplay from that thrift store in the mall? We've all noticed that tag on the news so don't even hide it Spinner."
"Why are you being salty already? Aren't you the calm type?" Iguro questioned, staring at Sero who was stuffing his face with gummy bears.
This was the moment his real plan began. He didn't only trick the villains into this battle, he also tricked the heroes and his classmates into this battle.
"Oh?" Himiko purred snuggling with a good amount of plushies. Tsu wasn't that far off with a snake plush as she wrapped it around her neck.
"So he's playing the anti-hero role. Kero."
"Does that mean he betrayed both the hero and villain side? Gah I can't wrap my head around what is happening!!!"
"HAH! Being Villain Leader really wrapped his mindset!" Monoma laughed, sitting near to his classmates. The missing pieces were fitting together once again and he was slowly remembering what the movie was about.
--
"I'M SO CONFUSED!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed with a bright grin.
"I'm with him... I completely forgot what had happened here, why is Midoriya acting with the villains now?"
"Er, I think it was something about a ghost, and AFO dying soon. So Izuku promised to.... rain blood?" Masaru replied, his eyes scrunched together as he tried to connect the blurry pieces.
"There is so much context you're missing hun." Mitsuki laughed, adjusting the shades on her nose bridge. At that moment the head light flickered for a few seconds, it's light illuminating her skin as if she was an angel who descended for mortal entertainment-
"You better not be eyeing my mom you puny sh*tstain." A demonic voice rumbled, as heated hands clenched onto the midget's face. With a tearful nod, Minoru had sealed his fate and was chucked across the room. Courtesy of Katsuki.
'Why does he continue to do things like these?' Kaminari sighed, preparing to go after his battered friend.
It feels amazing when your plan has multiple layers and the others could only scratch out a little...
What? You expected him to tell them his actual plan?
"Of course...." Aoyama winked facing at a particular angle.
Nope.
"...not." He finished with a playful wink.
"Nice save." Mina snorted, patting her friend's shoulder.
--
"He's toying with us! Himiko the bunny is toying with us!" Jin wailed, while Eri patted his leg sympathetically.
He divided it. Spread it. Commanded them - the one thing he learnt from Bakugou. They didn't even know what they were actually doing.
"THERE SHOULD BE MORE THINGS THAT YOU LEARNT FROM ME!!! DAMN DEKU!"
Izuku in question raised his head, preparing to divert from an argument. They did just entered the room after all-
""I politely decline any offers of being your doppelganger." Is what you're really thinking on the inside am I right?" Tenya shuffled, holding a bag of popcorn. His rectangular glasses were replaced by the black shades, changing his appearance to more of a rebellious teen than a studious kid.
"...Iida-kun?" Ochaco muttered, blinking at her friend's drastic change.
"It's still mean the second time!" Izuku interjected craftily, masking the smile on his face.
It's great that you build up trust among your team, form a bond and explain basically everything to them.
...
"Is it? Sorry, I thought I should join the fun with everyone. Although making fun of others shouldn't be my method."
"Don't use me as a joke four eyes!"
"You're wearing glasses as well!" Tenya hastily retorted, pushing his arm into the air.
But sometimes, you gotta play them. You gotta command them, boss around them. You gotta take the wheel...
"Oop."
"Oop? All you could say is 'oop'?" Monoma looked towards Midnight perplexed.
"No, but I'm starting to regret that I wasn't his homeroom teacher. To see that intelligence of his grow everyday must be a blessing. Nezu, you wouldn't mind right?"
"He mightn't but I will." Aizawa announced staring dead into his senpai's eyes.
'We'll see when it's his second year.' "Humph!"
Now to the villains, Midoriya had already joined them, gained their trust and figured out their plans. Gained a special power using their own power with his wonderful trickery. He couldn't help but hold back his smirk. They wouldn't attack him. Why would they? He was the one who was fighting for them. In Shigaraki's eyes, Midoriya was the only one who could handle the heroes. They wouldn't attack him. Nope. Not at all. They were looking at him for help.
And that's where they were wrong...
"Is it a bad thing that I want to see us lose? Izuku's face looks too dangerous to refuse!"
"Yes, on every level, yes." Chisaki chided.
"Oh."
--
'... when is my face dangerous?'
--
"I'm living the chaotic auras!" Kamikiri yelled, inching ever so closely to the screen.
"Hey! This is the perfect moment to drink some more 'Evil Tea'!"Awase smiled, remembering the comfort and slander of the old reaction room. Before shuddering at the latter.
"That's a great idea!" Diane perked up, masking her smile with a snap as floating cups casually landed in front of the bewildered cast.
"Are you a fairy?" Eri questioned, at the second display of her... quirk?
Diane simply puffed a smile before ducking and raising a finger to her lips, in a manner only Eri could see.
--
"This some f*cking good tea." Setsuna smirked, raising the rim closer to her mouth.
"It really is! I love green tea!"
"Shush dear, in this place, green tea is now called Evil Tea." Momo announced with a smile.
'Did the Villain team's influence impact Yao-momo?' Ochaco thought, with inflated cheeks before she beamed at her classmate. "That's great, a little mystery is fun." She replied, interlocking arms with a slightly devious smile if you shine the light just right.
--
"Can someone shut Monoma up for once! I swear, he's becoming more unhinged the more time passes."
"I feel like it's 'the more Midoriya-kun outsmarts the villains'." Yanagi muttered, eyes closed.
On the other side, to the heroes; Midoriya was only a tool of confirmed information. They wouldn't force him to go back to UA, they were instructed to leave him there and take Best Jeanist instead. He could continue with his little scheme when they left. They were tricked into believing that the boy was probably on a mission conducted by the commission or something. He was nothing but a student gathering information on the villains.
That's where they were wrong...
"Yes, the forged letter. Utter brilliance from your end, you knew what makes Endeavour work, what makes him tick. With such a well formatted letter, I expected zero flaws. No hints to let the heroes doubt, or to disregard it as some joke. Such brilliance, how can I ignore this?" Nezu analyzed, smiling from ear as Izuku soaked in the praise before his eyes narrowed. Something the Rat god had noticed.
"What do you mean Principal Nezu?" He inquired, his eyes slightly weary yet brimming with anticipation.
"Quite simple, what type of hero do you want to be?" Those words echoed throughout the studio, plunging those into silence just to know what his next words would be. But isn't it obvious?
--
"We need to take pointers, this kid isn't just a bundle of entertainment anymore." Tomura grumbled, raising up his sketchpad that had the rough outline of UA's layout.
--
"Smiles. I want to be a Hero that can save others with a smile on my face, Just like All Might's. I mightn't be as charismatic as him, but I want those who I save to feel a sense of security, a sense of safety knowing that I'll be there. This dream isn't only mine anymore. That's something I came to terms with pretty recently. There are so many people who've supported and guided me on this road of becoming Pro. Now I want to be a hero for them as well, and show them a brighter future." His eyes were glowing through his speech as he silently readdressed what it means to be the greatest hero. To be A hero.
His gaze stopped at his bane, All For One, as he clenched his fist. As long as his name existed, he wasn't going to let him win.
"Interesting... How about you intern under myself once we leave. It would be a valuable experience for someone who wants to create a brighter future than what Toshinori built."
"Eh?"
And finally to his dear, dear friends; he was supposed to be rescued. He was just a victim that asked for help indirectly while he gathered information. They didn't know anything else about his plan. They were probably gonna come to him and try to safely take him back to UA High as instructed in the journal. Well, Midoriya told them that he'd be back in five days but he also instructed them to come to his rescue just as Endeavor got the case. They knew he would gather information, but to them, this boy played the victim as well. They were going to rescue him no matter what and Midoriya knew that. That's why what would happen next would brilliantly support his plan.
"I'm scared! Where is Midoriya that just said he wants to save with a smile like All Might's?!" Mineta shouted, tugging onto Shoji's arm.
"Do remember this is his onscreen self. Besides, I don't think Midoriya would do anything that would truly harm us."
"I KNOW! I know but it doesn't make it less scary!"
"I feel like Ei-chan should re-examine his quirk." Mina added, sprawled on her bean bag like a pink starfish.
"Huh why?" Eijiro glanced at her confused, pushing her legs together. Satisfied, he left his seat next to his twin and sat closer to the alien queen.
"Because at this rate, what you dreamt of is coming true!!!"
--
":0"
"... Fukidashi-kun? The emoticons are showing again." Shoda alerted, pointing at his face.
":x"
"Pfft-" Hagakure snorted, but was drowned by Shoda's exasperated laugh.
--
Neito was no longer laughing maniacally. It wasn't because of Kendo's fist this time, but at the realization that Midoriya, his leader, might just be crazier than he is.
Crazier than Bakugou.
"I think he just played all of us."
"Oh he definitely played all of us." Shinsou acknowledges casually taking another sip of his tea.
"I told you this kid should be an actor!! I told you!" Nemuri shouted, dramatically pointing at the screen.
Snapping out of his train of thoughts, the boy looked around. He was so calmly standing amidst the utter chaos that was happening right now. He couldn't help but smile.
'That wasn't the smile we were asking for.'
"Never give him marvel again for ANY class assignment." Sero exclaimed, ignoring Izuku's rejections.
Shigaraki was fighting off All For One instead of the heroes. The boy looked so, so desperate trying to keep his mentor from fighting. He looked so, so dumb, gullible and naïve. He tried his best to push All For One out of the battlefield while he commanded the last standing villain; Spinner, to take care of the others just as Kurogiri arrived on the scene with Gigantomachia.
"Boo get off the stage 'Machia!"
--
"Shiggy, I don't say this often... but I feel bad for you." Himiko confessed, raising her hands to wipe the tears from her eyes.
"I'm sure those tears came from laughing at me. Don't pretend."
"But I really do feel bad for you, you got out planned, played and outclassed by a child! A baby!"
"I'm only 1 year younger than you!" Izuku piped in, dodging a palm to his face.
"I don't think she's teasing you this time Tomura." Kurogiri denied holding up a champagne glass.
...
"Where did you get that?"
--
'Is it bad that I genuinely feel sorry for this kid? It's obvious that he cares for that shriveled raisin a lot.' Nemuri thought, looking at the expressionless villain. Unease filled beneath her stomach as she looked away.
'Even if they are villains... I don't think their relationship is healthy at all..'
--
"...hAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!! I CAN'T BrEatHE- oH LORD!" Hysterical wheezing and coughs followed suit as Monoma started to roll on the carpeted floor, the situation simply too funny to not laugh. It was most likely contagious as well.
"Pft-"
"Lmao."
"LOL!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
"Why does Bakugou's laugh sound so cute!!"
Endeavor got busy with the Nomu after he saw his son and yelled 'Shoto' - who was unfazed by his reaction, while Hawks dealt with the others with the seven teenagers that stepped into the battlefield, ready to take on their enemy.
With his incredible speed, Hawks pinned down Kurogiri. The winged hero turned to see that Todoroki froze Spinner in place, making him immobile for the time being. Shiozaki and Yaoyorozu held down the unconscious ones just in case. Komori and Kaibara fled downstairs to help Best Jeanist. Shinsou and Monoma were looking around for Midoriya who stood in the middle of all the smoke and debris, apparently hidden from their sight. Shigaraki and All For One were practically not even there now.
"Actually, where is Best Jeanist?" Powerloader searched around to see little signs of the denim fashionista.
"I think he's resting right now, restraining Machia has taken a toll on his physique." Thirteen notified as Shota silently regretted not taking this as his moment of rest. It's not like he wouldn't be able to not see what it was about.
"What are you kids doing here anyways!?"
"We were told to rescue Midoriya!"
Clash in their plans.
What Hawks knew was they were supposed to leave Midoriya and what the students knew was that they were supposed to take Midoriya.
"This boy..." Toshinori sighed, lowering his head to his lap to block anyone from seeing the enormous smile on his skeletal face... The method he chose was so, so wrong, but boy was it working and did it make him proud. He was worried, worried that Izuku might suffer worse than he did when he faced that cancerous villain. But he was so proud too. His vision soon began to look a little blurry as realization stroke.
'I'm... tearing up? ...guess I'm not that different from a crybaby either.' He silently laughed.
"It's just chaos at this point. "
"I'm loving this so much. You have absolutely no idea!" Hatsume shrieked at the confusion. This wasn't normally her cup of tea. But it all was so satisfying and interesting to see a plan so craftily made work out perfectly, like directing a movie. Or finding the perfect screw for her babies.
It made her invested.
"I wonder if it's possible to become a movie critic in my free time?"
--
"What Heroes they are, leaving a child with the villains." Compress tutted.
"I mean they are under the illusion that he's on a mission and will be safe."
"...Illusion huh." Katsuki, who overheard their conversation, muttered. His laughing spree quieting down.
Although Monoma was still going at full force, like an annoying battering ram.
A wonderful distraction that bought the green haired boy enough time to skillfully flee from their sight...
All Might should be proud.
Eyes turned towards the symbol of peace, as he hid his expression from their view. So they couldn't tell what he was thinking about his son.
"He should be proud!" Eri exclaimed.
"I think he'd be more scared than proud. But Nezu? No, that rat would definitely be proud." Hawks refuted. Inching closer to the shivering blond before poking him on the shoulder.
"Am I right? All Might?"
--
"What scared? This is All Might we're talking about, there is no fear in his name!"
"That might be true but Leader is his son, any parent would be afraid."
--
"This is pure genius!! He's rivaling Nezu at this rate!! I'm so proud of you Midoriya!! This Aunty here is proud." Nemuri wailed, hugging Yamada who was staring at the blunette in absolute horror.
"Since when did YOU want to be called an Aunty?!"
"Since I met Eri."
...Fair-
"Okay, that's fair."
--
"Guys he's actually crying!"
"All Might-san????!"
"I'm just so worried, yet proud of you my boy. Don't mind these tears, old age must have been catching up to me."
"But you're not even past your sixties..."
"See, no one cries so often like that unless they are a Midoriya, my theory has been proven. All Might is your father."
"Why is All Might's interaction with Deku-kun always so cute!!" Ochaco muttered, covering her mouth to avoid any audible fawning from slipping.
~O~
Now standing away from where all the destruction was taking place, Midoriya closed his eyes enjoying the cool breeze that flew past him. He was standing on top of one of the hills that surrounded the hideout.
It was relaxing - yes, Endeavor was having a death match and Best Jeanist was practically about to die and so were a few of his friends if they turned out super unlucky - but hey it was kinda fun.
"Hold up you sadistic little sh*t."
"Wait.... what?"
"Dude Momo could die, what are you saying?!" Mineta screeched.
--
"I mean I'll be pissed if Gigantomachia is the one who killed the old man, but it doesn't sound that bad." Dabi shrugged.
"It's a good thing Best Jeanest isn't here right now."
He mentally noted down to do more of this once he becomes the villain.
...
..
.
"Hold up-"
"WHAT DOES TIS MEAN???"
"I'M LOSING BRAINCELLS HERE!!"
"You're always losing braincells bro, this isn't new." Sero sighed.
"DID HE REALLY SUCCUMB TO THE VILAIN SIDE? DID HE BETRAY EVERYONE AND IS WORKING ON HIS OWN? WHAT IS HAPPENING?!"
--
"RRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!"
--
"WHAT DOES THIS MEEAAAN?!"
"Yamada for f*ck's sake SHUT UP!!"
"Why don't you shout at your students too... Mean Shota. Cruel Shota."
"Sigh."
--
???
"I feel like nearly everyone here is running on one braincell."
"One brain cell is generous, lets call it half and say our sadistic leader, a rat, including Nezu has the rest." Honenuki declared, pointing at the three in particular.
...
'All For One is the rat?'
"I don't think it's nice to disregard all the pros who are in the room right now either." Setsuna argued, shaking her head.
--
"I thought he was secretly good... he's scaring me..." Tamaki shuddered, using Nejire as a shield.
"Hey, hey Amajiki, that tickles stop! Maybe he's still acting?" Neijire laughed, before coming to eyes with the most deadpanned face she ever saw on her anti-social friend.
"...that's scarier."
"I can't tell if it was a bad idea to make Deku-kun the Villain Leader during the civil war, his aura is insane. But is no one questioning why he wants to become the Villain? Like why the?" Ochaco question as Yaoyoruzu nodded along.
"I had a theory that Leader simply wanted to act out his role; he promised to All For One to be the best one he could. Which means mentally deluding himself of his desires. If you do remember, the reason why he was able to prepare and plan so far ahead was because All For One messed with his mind first. Which means there's a chance that he can see your inner desires. If Midoriya wanted to continuously fool All For One, trick answers wouldn't be all he'll have to prove that his desires and motivations aren't one of a hero anymore. So he wouldn't aim to be A Villain, cause any double-spy can become A Villain or A Hero. But it would pose some difficulty to become The Villain or The Hero as it warps your entire thinking and fights against your agendas. The fortunate thing about this method is that it makes our goal most appealing to achieve. Which can help further fool All For One. Also there was the 'Midoriya being All Might's' successor. If he truly wants All For One to believe that he isn't fooling him, that he isn't going back to Heroics, then being The Villain is necessary. I'm so happy someone else spotted the weird emphasis on the syllable. I had expected Mic-sensei to notice but he got swept up by the overall mood. But as is, it's still a theory and I'm not sure if it may be true as others are falling prey to the narrative. Oh are you alright Ochaco?"
Class 1-A's idol muttered, pushing aside the white background to check on her nauseous friend. Ochaco responded with a wobbly thumbs up as she blinked away the overloading kanjis from her eyes.
"It's alright Yaomomo! Your theory sounds solid enough, maybe once the others hear it they wouldn't feel so distressed." She smiled, giving an excited side-hug to her rich friend.
Momo's appreciative smile turned dull as she looked on at her peers who were losing their minds over one sentence... or rather emphasis. Rising the cup of tea towards her mouth she contemplated the overall mood ever-since they started reacting.
"I would have to disagree with that. They are so engrossed with Midoriya's intelligence that I don't think they'll listen to mine." She confessed, staring blankly at her empty cup.
Missing Ochaco's disbelief face. 'I think they'll just get lost mid way-'
"That's not it at all!! Do you remember chapter 17? We were so anxious back then until Kaminari-kun said something smart!"
"Did someone say my name?"
"... I don't think they'll undermine your theory."
"I agree with pink cheeks over here. Sorry but I had overheard your analysis and I can't help but agree with everything you said. How did you come up with 'A' and 'The' influencing our mentality?" Hawks praised, hovering over the flustered teens.
"Oh thank you Hawks..."
"PINK CHEEKS?!"
"...You know Ochaco, I had a reason for why I believe in Midoriya, he may be my classmate. But he's also my leader and I had solid reasoning as to why to trust him. But you didn't. Back then you stood as the opposing team yet you risked your quirk to vote for our team. Even now, you don't doubt Midoriya and instead take his side. Why?"
"Eh?! What are you saying Momo? I had tons of reasons, I knew Deku-kun rarely failed class assignments so I used all that knowledge as his classmate to place my bets on him! And you just explained it yourself, the emphasis was odd so I suspected there was something up! What are you implying?!"
"Ochaco your rambling."
Though, he shouldn't get too attached to this feeling. After all, he was a hero-in-training, All Might's successor, the next Symbol of Peace, blah, blah, blah.
Momo stopped teasing her red-faced friend and tilted her head to the screen with a smile. 'Seems like I was closer to the truth than I thought.'
"I'm crying right now."
"I'm sobbing actual tears. What is happening???"
'Sorry guys...' Izuku thought with an audible sweat bubble.
He never noticed how beautiful fire looked like until now. He took a deep breath, he shouldn't relax himself much. What if someone was there an-!
'Didn't Izuku say his father breathes fire?' Toshinori mumbled, taking a napkin to wipe his tear-filled face. Courtesy of Inko.
A voice interrupted him,
Yup. Someone just did.
'Unlucky.'
'Wait no, making it that far without luck seems more surreal. Gah!' Ojiro smacked his forehead.
"I take this was your scheme we talked about?"
He turned around to see All For One, an unreadable smile on the green head's face. What was his expression? Petty, glad, sly, sympathetic? Maybe a combination of all of them.
"Maybe. Maybe not."
"You got good cover-ups for betrayals too, huh."
"Maybe. Maybe not."
"Wait. Didn't Midoriya say this before?-" Sato mumbled before Mina bounced out of her seat.
"Hey guys, let's start another chain!"
"Hell no." Dabi interjected.
"Meanie."
"... You're smarter than I credited you for."
"Now you see that?" Chiyo sighed, once again finding anything to (rightfully) belittle the damn corpse.
"At least we know his eyes weren't stuck inside his a*s." Overhaul chimed in.
'Vulgar much?'
"Maybe. Maybe not."
All For One chuckled. This boy was testing him.
"He's being savage. Rumi approved."
"I remember saying these things back at high school just to piss people off." Compress reminiscence with a coy smile. Something no one could see.
"You went to high school?"
"..."
--
"PFFT-"
"Damn Deku, what are you, a broken record?!" Katsuki shouted before laughing at the end, clearly finding All For One's annoyance amusing.
But, he too, was the Symbol of Evil. He wasn't going down that easily. He wasn't completely in the shadows. He had prepared a counter just in case. He could technically kill the boy right there. But he could also kill him slowly and painfully. Perhaps the boy had already thought of a possibility that All For One would have a last trick under his sleeve, and perhaps he did. Although he decided to take the low road for now. He'd wait for Midoriya and see what he's doing before acting.
In the end, it was just a game.
"-One that you'll lose."
"ooh burn!" Twice cackled, raising his hands to high-five Giran. Who was simply amused by his doubled friend...
...
...Actually, when was the last time Jin contradicted his words?
--
"Sooo chess?"
"It's life and death baka."
And the winner would be whoever planned ahead of the other.
"So chess."
"Ugh."
--
"It would obviously be Midoriya."
"Yeah!!"
"Let's be honest, how many villains here think they'll actually win?" Shoji questioned watching as Kurogiri and All For One raised their hand. It was just a second of hesitation, but Shoji saw as Tomura raised his hand with a shadowed expression.
Compressed raised his hands. Muscular as well. Dabi raised his in pure spite. And Spinner was stuck in a deadlock. Stain wasn't present in the room. Which raised a question about his whereabouts to the teen.
"That's more than I expected."
All For One smiled to himself. Finally, an opponent that fought differently. Someone who used different pieces. Someone worth his time. Someone who viewed every angle in a battlefield. It was nice to have a competition once in a while, you know.
"See CHESS!"
"..."
--
"I mean All Might-san only punches and always saves the day. I can see why someone would get bored." Izuku hummed in thought.
"I'm taking that as a compliment my boy."
"...wait, so does that mean All For One is aware that Midoriya will betray him at some point?" Shishida gasped watching his rival class.
"It seems so-"
"This is one of the reasons why I say Midoriya Izuku would die. He's years too young to try and out-play me. The game is quite fun to watch, I must say." AFO taunted with that overconfident tone of his.
'Impressive, Shigaraki knows that Midoriya will betray him. But also knows the value he has with Midoriya working under him so he pretends to be unaware. However, Midoriya knows that All For One is aware of him and is purposely acting to fuel his doubts. Or maybe he isn't aware and is building to his demise? That's unlikely. At this rate, Midoriya-kun will betray AFO just as he suspects, and knowing his tactics he'll kill him once he realizes how much of a threat Midoriya-kun truly is. We've seen how his mind works with simply 5 days but he had an entire month to prepare himself. So it's likely he would not die but go into hiding, waiting for the opportune moment to strike as Izuku's plans play out in the background. Like chess, they both have their pieces in place but have planned a series of movements in advance to have the advantage over the other. Checkmate is the goal and its equal is death. My, this is some great tea. Shame I don't smoke anymore. But it would be great to see that pest finally put to rest.' Nezu chuckled, taking another cup filled with the evil tea.
"Midoriya, I can't wait to teach you personally."
"S-same Principal Nezu!" Izuku shrieked, watching the pinnacle of intelligence in doubt. 'Why do I feel like I'll learn something I shouldn't...' He soon shrugged facing the screen again in interest.
'Oh well, I'm sure he wouldn't teach anything that bad.'
Diane, who heard his thoughts, looked at the chimera in fear.
He was about to say something but couldn't as Endeavor came crashing down into the hill, Gigantomachia following the suit - attempting to attack the already injured hero once more.
"Ahhh, this is satisfying to watch." The burnt flesh smirked at the sight of Enji nearly getting pummeled.
Gigantomachia roared which caused quite a shock wave to run up front. Midoriya nearly placed his arms in front of his eyes to shield himself, but nearly - he mostly managed to keep his calm posture.
"Thank the Lord."
All For One stepped back. He wanted to see what the green head would do next. Save the hero? Fight Gigantomachia? Kill the hero? Leave the battle as it is? Each step, determined his next one. He needed to see what he would do.
Gigantomachia prepared his fist before Endeavor had enough time to recover from the impact. With one swift motion, the Nomu brought down his fist and basically destroyed the entire area where Endeavor was, making nearly everyone nearby stumble to the ground with its immense power. Once the smoke cleared and he retracted his hand, Gigantomachia only saw that there was left a huge shallow deformation on the ground and Endeavor....?
"Okay this is the only time I'm saying I liked that temperamental mountain."
"Anything once it hurts Endeavor huh." Giran commented as the excited young adult nodded along at the claim. Like a little kid.
"Yes! Only if it hurts him. After all, I want to kill him myself!"
The flame hero; Endeavor wasn't even there to begin with.
"...tsk."
"Mood."
Rather, there was an open warp gate there. Just like Kurogiri's.
The Nomu looked around to realize that Midoriya opened the warp gate and sent Endeavor somewhere else - possibly back to where the other heroes were.
But was the problem over? No.
When is the problem ever over with UA's infamous problem children?
"...Sensei Aizawa?"
"NEVER THAT'S WHAT!"
"Want me to house arrest those who make light of my job?" The man himself threatened, his eyes glowing a deathly red.
"NO SIR! NO SENSEI!! SORRY!" The Bakusquad, all except their leader, cried out.
'Morons.'
--
"Would I get punched if I say something?" Kaminari muttered tearfully which Jirou overheard.
"Only if it's something stupid."
"I'll take that challenge!"
Ahem!
"Never gonna' give you up." He gave a side-glance but saw no reaction so he continued.
"Never gonna' let you down." Soon enough Kotoku joined in, leaving his daughter in a laughing mess.
"NEVER GOING TO RUN AROUND AND HURT YOU!"
"Whose dad are you? Mine or his. Lol. Sh*t my eyes hurt."
From the warp gate that led Endeavor to safety, Todoroki, Monoma and Shinsou came out in search of their green haired friend. Only to meet the monstrous calamity that was called Gigantomachia.
Seeing this, Gigantomachia prepared another attack. But now, he was the one who wasn't given enough time as Midoriya turned out to be faster than him.
With a sharp yell of, "Look out!!" Midoriya used Best Jeanist's quirk which he had gotten a graze from earlier when the Pro Hero was struggling. He used the quirk to grab all three of his friends and - using One For All - pulled them behind himself.
...?
"So he's still a hero?"
"Confusion everywhere."
Just as he finished placing his friends down with one hand, he used the other to create a warp gate behind Gigantomachia that connected to the new one he created in front of himself. Then he used Best Jeanist's quirk once again through the warp gate in front of him and brought out those fibres from the one behind Gigantomachia. The fibre strings connected to the Nomu's back and shoulders, regardless of his struggles. Midoriya pulled the strings towards himself, resulting in Gigantomachia to be forced towards the warp gate behind.
But just before the Nomu entered the warp gate, Midoriya created another one on a random location - somewhere in the middle of an ocean and left Gigantomachia there, pulling back his strings.
"I hope it's the Mariana Trench or something. Good riddance."
"Why would Midoriya know the coordinates of the Mariana Trench?"
--
"That's going to cause a Tsunami." Pony muttered.
"Oh, like the mini flood from the Civil War?" Bondo replied curiously.
"Yeah but worse, we all saw how massive he was in person!"
"Rest in peace to those on the beaches, may your soul reach God."
"Don't just think of the worst case scenarios right away!" Mirio interrupted.
"Well, he's gonna have fun finding his way back." Midoriya said to himself as he closed all the warp gates.
"Midoriya!!!"
On call, the said boy turned around to look at his friends. They looked seriously concerned and confused.
"Uh why?"
"Remember this version of us doesn't know about All For One giving him a quirk so of course they are going to be confused when he suddenly uses multiple quirks that aren't his." Momo informed, finding her voice after a lively chat with Hawks.
.
.
.
"... wait did you say multiple quirks?" Yagi questioned before glaring daggers at the shriveled up fry. The air around him became suffocating as he tried to hold in his bloodlust that were all screaming at the man.
'WHAT DID YOU TO MY SON!' ... or something like that.
--
"Guess I'm not the only copy quirk user in the group anymore." Monoma sighed.
"You'll never be replaceable Monoma-kun. Remember that." Izuku recalled as the blond blinked surprised by the bold statement before shrugging his shoulders as if the thought didn't affect him much.
"Of course I know that."
"It's okay, guys. You did your part well."
"... But what was that?! I mean-! Multiple quirks? Or was that something like mine?" Monoma asked, clearly confused.
Midoriya, however, calmly said, "Relax. I'll explain later."
"To use Kurogiri's and Jeanist's quirk," Todoroki pondered, "It was All For One, right?"
"Perceptive as ever Todoroki-kun." Tenya praised as Katsuki huffed.
"It's more observant than perceptive but yeah I guess."
"Mhm." Midoriya nodded.
...
...
"Wait a second." Midoriya deadpanned. "Both Kurogiri's and Jeanist's quirk?"
Hold up. This was wrong. Like, completely wrong. That shouldn't even happen in the first place.
"Wait really? I can't remember much but is that really a bad thing? More quirks to beat his a*s!"
--
"All Might buddy calm down!" Snipe intervened, stopping the skeletal corpse from attacking the rotting corpse.
"What's making you so furious?"
All For One said that the Duplicate quirk supported one duplicate at a time. Two quirks cannot be used at the same time. Then how in the world did Midoriya use both of them without feeling anything wrong? Why did it even happen? Was All For One lying? Or was this the result of some other quirk he didn't know about?
"Oh."
"Oh no."
--
"Inko... Inko! Sit down for me please- we just got this room!"
"I think you should be saying that to All Might. Not. Me. Right Mitsu-chan?"
"The Pros can handle him, I'm talking to you right now, your son is safe. Just look!"
Nonsense, he knew about almost all the quirks.
'Figured.' Shinsou hummed.
Then why-?
Midoriya coughed up blood.
.
Mirko's ears twitched as she and her feathered friend met eyes for a split second before they bounced off their seats and flew to stop one person.
.
'Why is it so silent?'
.
"IZUKU!!! MY BABY!!!" Inko cried, clawing her body away from both Mitsuki, Masaru and Rei's grip. Her eyes glaring daggers at the one who caused her child to bleed.
"IZUKU" A fatherly voice shouted out as a blond blur ran at AFO's direction.
"MIDORIYA!!" Incomprehensible voices mingled together as Eri stared at the screen in shock.
--
"SOMEBODY HOLD DOWN ALL MIGHT!" Yamada yelled as he successfully, alongside Thirteen, managed to calm down Nemuri and Shota. Now he was struggling to hold the big guy in place when he was running on dad fury.
"Times like these I wonder if you two really are related. Calm down, I know it looks bad but we've seen worse!"
"For someone who's basically bones right now he's strong-" Sero commented, standing up to use his quirk.
!!!
"Sh*t he turned buff, SH*T HE TURNED BUFF!! TWICE! TWICE WE NEED SOME DOUBLES!!"
"ON IT!" Twice saluted before pausing, staring at the furious dad in thought.
"Wait, if I create more All Mights would they also be furious?"
"TWICE!!"
"No no, he's got a point, what if I suddenly make things worse? And All Might is the strongest here so why would I make the weaker guys? - Because together we can do anything!"
--
"MOM! DAD I'm fine! I'm right here safe and sound!!" Izuku wheezed, managing to stop both adults from their manslaughter for a different reason.
"Dad?" Inko repeated confused, stopping the (Toga's) knives trajectory that were aiming at his irritable face, (no wonder All Might smashed it in.) Staring at the ex-hero that had deflated from the shock. Losing balance with so many people trying to stop him and toppled on the floor.
"All Might?!"
"Wha- young Midoriya-"
--
"Todoroki-kun, this is the last time I'm accepting your request."
It stopped them, didn't it? Was his unsung reply as Shoto sipped on a strawberry smoothie; Endeavor sighed still in his previous seat as he didn't bother stopping his once rival.
--
'I expected this result.' Nezu thought. But found it wise not to say it aloud.
--
'He really is All Might's love child.'
--
"I mean I was asking for blood-" Toga shrugged.
His hand flung to his mouth and he dropped to the ground on his knees. His friends surrounding him just as they noticed his condition.
"Midoriya!" Shinsou exclaimed as his sight landed on Midoriya's blood covered hand.
"To think we were just making fun at him for falling for his lies..."
"Does this mean All For One knew all along?"
"Yes it does." Midoriya admits, sitting in the middle of his parental figures while his teachers (Eraserhead and Midnight) sat behind him. On his lap was Eri who held a hard gaze at the screen.
'But it isn't over. Right All For One.' Crooked hands clenched together as he glared harshly at the man he was meant to defeat.
'Of course not, or else you'd just be boring. Just like your predecessor.' He taunted.
Midoriya didn't fall for it.
But before any of them could reach him, Midoriya opened another warp gate under each of them, sending them back downhill to Hawks and the others. Except, Todoroki...
"Midoriya, what's going on?" The heterochromatic boy said, sitting next to the green head and placing a hand on his back.
Midoriya looked at him with groggy eyes, "Tell Endeavor I said; C-9-4 when you go back. And do not mess it up. C-9-4."
"This is still part of his plans?!" Tomura shouted, fed up before Compress denied the claim.
"It can't be, he seems frantic. Looks like 'Sensei' had finally outsmarted him. Or has been all along."
"What's that...?"
"You'll find out eventuall-!"
Another fit of bloody coughs. He motioned Todoroki to stay back.
It didn't stop, though. The green head kept on violently coughing up blood as he clenched his shirt. Spitting out a really concerning amount of blood, the green haired boy took deep breaths. Sweat lined his forehead as he felt a searing pain in his inner organs and his muscles cramping. His head felt too light, he might drop unconscious any moment now.
"Don't let your early days at UA go to waste you damn nerd! Use her quirk!"
...
"That's actually a great idea! It's self love time, kiss yourself to death if you need to!"
"Wouldn't that defeat the purpose?" Kai deadpanned.
"That might as well kill me faster with less pain. RG needs energy to recover. That means stamina, there's only so much I could use at that point before collapsing," Midoriya debated before glancing at Eri and her tormentor. Raising his hands by her ears he continued his sentence.
"If you want me to heal with extra stamina then the quirk I should choose is Overhaul. The media kept his quirk information unknown and listed him off as a strong villain but his quirk would be the best for Recovery Kacchan. Unless I..." He stopped, removing his palms from the child's ears.
"...I see..."
"Don't '...I see...' explain for all of us to understand!! Using telepathy is unfair!"
Ah...
So, All For One did lie to him...
"Yeah." Hatsume blinked.
"Unfortunately." Shinsou sighed.
"Mmrh." Replied Reiko.
"Things just got really interesting." Whistled Compress.
"Plot Twist really." Kamikiri tsked.
When he said that there was absolutely no drawback to this quirk... He was hiding this. Well played. But the war wasn't over yet.
It was a game of lies.
"Pop off I guess Leader." Mineta grumbled with teary eyes.
"I'm scared Mr Deku..."
Now, with blood trickling down his mouth, Midoriya lightly chuckled, "You had me there, I gotta admit..."
He stood up and turned to look where the villain was standing, "...All For One," Midoriya said, "But we are far from done yet."
"Oh, I believe you are right," All For One said, "But there isn't much left to fight for either."
Midoriya gave him a what-do-you-mean look.
'Cute.'
All For One elaborated, "Each time you use this quirk, it'll store all the pains of directly taking in those quirks, including their drawbacks and then release with an outburst you just experienced now. You keep on using this quirk even once or twice, you'll die. And I doubt you can defeat me with that quirk of yours..."
'Oh I will.' Toshinori thought, Nana instigating him in the vestige realm.
Midoriya looked at him, his eyes widening.
"So, it's safe to say, you don't have much time left, boy."
"No, I'll save Mr. Deku! I'll save him no matter what!" Eri shouted, raising her fist into the air.
"Yes you will Eri, I believe in you." Izuku smiled.
Ah...
Ahahaha...
That's funny...
"I will die, huh?" Midoriya looked down, a smile on his face. "I won't."
"Wait, is he going to use the Yakuza's granddaughter quirk?!" Hawks shouted as the work study students looked at one another in shock remembering that Eri had used her quirk on him.
"After all, I have to be the villain and I promised you a good bloody rain..." Midoriya said, "I don't know about you, All For One... But even if I was lying, my promises weren't empty. I'm a man of my words and you will see it first hand... Soon."
'It's the strange emphasis again...' Ochaco remembered what Momo talked about before teasing her.
"He's getting crazier by the minute. Isn't he?"
"Hm? Is that so?" All For One stated, "How about we ask for Tomura's opinion?"
As if on cue, the said boy came out of the shadows. Midoriya took a step back. Shigaraki heard their conversation. Shigaraki knew about the lie Midoriya told him. He was probably going to kill him.
"Oh I'm going to kill him alright." Tomura confirmed, disintegrating his empty cup.
"It's still so depressing, falling for a kid's lie." Himiko tittered, patting her Boss' head.
"Don't act like you were suspecting him from day one you backstabber." He growled, swatting the palm away as if he was appalled
"Funny, do you wanna' feel how it is to be stabbed in the back?"
Was this a part of his plan...?
Maybe. Maybe not.
'B*tch if I hear that one more time-'
"Maybe your lie about 'my injury' got exposed before time. Don't worry, I'll let you two figure things out on your own." All For One said as he walked away. Possibly downhill to take care of the other heroes.
There was a moment of silence.
Shigaraki stared at Midoriya in anger.
Midoriya bit his lip, thinking of what to do next.
Todoroki couldn't be more worried about the situation.
"Poor Shoto is always being left out."
"You seriously need therapy."
"I should've known... You fucking liar... I shouldn't have trusted you..." Shigaraki mumbled, slowly taking steps forward.
"Oh you trusted him? Shame on you broccoli boy!" Twice puffed.
"Todoroki, it's getting dangerous. I'm sending you all back to UA." Midoriya said without even looking at the other boy, his eye fixed on the villain.
"I'm not leaving you alo-!"
"Remember; C-9-4."
"I had already forgotten."
"Good thing you aren't Todoroki then." Koda nodded along.
With that, Midoriya held his side and opened warp gates under every hero sending them to the one he opened at UA's coordinates.
The last thing Todoroki saw was Shigaraki placing his hand on Midoriya's face.
The disintegration began.
"I'm not buying it." Ochaco slammed her fist against the center table.
"Exactly, everyone present at the USJ knows how slow his disintegration actually is." Shoji added.
"We also saw a perfect counter back then as well, didn't we Midoriya-chan. Kero." Tsuyu nudged the boy that was currently being hugged to death.
"Yes... Tsu-chan!"
"Hey guys we're from 1-B, so we have no clue what you're talking about." Kendo announced, pointing at her classmates.
"It's AIZAWA SENSEI!!!"
"He always uses 'Eraser' to threaten us anyways, so that means Midoriya has Eraser!!"
"OH!"
Todoroki was at UA High.
"F*ck."
The screen slowly turned dark as Diane adjusted the lighting. "Okay guys that was one episode. Right now I'll let you guys be free to do whatever you want, as long as it's within the rules until it's time to react."
"Replays will be posted 2 times, 2 hours from now and a day later so for those that missed everything or want to rewatch be aware. Of course it will be on the smaller screen outside and not the reaction room."
"Bye!" Both girls chorused, Alisha sounding less enthusiastic compared to her friend. Once the hostess left nearly everyone decided to dogpile unto Midoriya.
'I guess I deserved that.'
A/N: I can't believe Momo's theory was like 260 words... I'm not counting Nezu's nor the overall word count. I hoped you all enjoyed the chapter. It took about a week for me to start writing again due to extreme procrastination. I'll TRY like really TRY to upload tri-weekly.
Hope you have a wonderful time!
