| 28 - 8 | Just Another Villain |
"Who's another Villain? Midoriya?" Kamikiri questioned, sitting next to his friends, Setsuna and Rin.
"Obviously, he was just playing the number one villain like tripping a baby in Ikea's couch section," Setsuna replied, with a smirk.
Rin looked up at his playful classmate with an uneasy gaze. "Why did that sound so specific?!"
"Hmmm, did it?" She questioned pressing her stomach on his braided hair.
"Yes, it does." Kamikiri intervened, shaking his head amused.
--
Thirteen exhaled in relief, as mostly everyone cheered at the new chapter, sitting next to her colleague, Recovery Girl and Lunchrush, she stared at her palm where the remote was resting.
--
"Guys stop talking or it will never start!" Toga pointed at the screen that was currently on pause.
The lively air was as stiff as wood, slowly, everyone began to follow the villainess's words, Iida giving small yet inaudible thanks and praises to her.
~O~
The UA teachers were all gathered around the meeting hall, discussing the current situation.
"I'm so excited!!!" Mina cheered, shaking Kirishima like a ragdoll. The Hero trainee only smiled at her antics, avoiding bumping into someone else by accident.
--
"If I was the teachers, I wouldn't even bother with a meeting, Izuku obviously already smarter than the teachers in there," Toga exclaimed before her eyes glanced at the whitest fur.
"...except the principle of course!" She quickly added before frowning at Midoriya's words.
"Hey! That's not true! I'm not that smart, and that's an alternative me, we aren't exactly the same person!" Midoriya bellowed. Not liking the gaze the UA staff gave him.
What should they do? The League took Midoriya and now they just couldn't just go and get him back, after all, All For One was back in action, and All Might was retired. If they went to rescue Midoriya, it might end up worse than if they didn't. They didn't have someone who could fight the Symbol of Evil. What would they do if he decided to strike back, they would all be dead. And on top of everything else; they didn't know the League's whereabouts.
The Heroes needed a plan. A safe strategy. They needed to think through this very carefully. Midoriya's life could be in danger. They needed to do something quickly. They needed a plan. And fast.
But just what?
"I know it isn't my place to say... But if they kidnapped him without harming a single hair strand, wouldn't that mean they need him alive for something." Toshinori muttered as Aizawa stopped talking to Koda to glance in his direction.
"Like we didn't just see that happening on screen."
"I wasn't referring to us here Aizawa-kun, but us on the television." That should have been an obvious thought if we were given the details of what happened properly!" Yagi defended, as some of the staff members agreed with his logic.
--
"You should be worrying for the villains instead, they already walking in the palms of his hands, HM?! HOW DOES IT FEEL BEING PLAYED BY A CHILD! PATHETIC DOESN'T IT!" Monoma howled in laughter, feeling refreshed after insulting the villains.
"I really don't like that kid." Compress muttered clenching his cane. A subtle crack appeared as his animosity grew.
"Go my apprentice, shatter their souls! - Stop right there, you're doing it wrong." Twice intervened, clapping at Monoma's passive speech before walking back to his spot.
"Twice, I hate you." Compress groaned.
"I hate you too - wait whyyyy!!!!"
The teachers were in a tight spot. Present Mic and Midnight questioning everything. Aizawa's anger held down Vlad King when the latter was about to say something stupid like Class-1-B never had a single kidnapping case. All Might was quiet. So quiet, he was looking down as if he was the one responsible for all this.
I guess we know where he got it from... Hawks thought, subtly glancing at Monoma and Vlad King.
All Might felt horrible. A melancholic aura lurking all over him. Unreasonable guilt slowly eating him away. His successor was abducted. And on top of that; he was right in All For One's reach. All Might's predecessor sacrificed her life for his safety and what did he do for his successor? Nothing at all. Throughout the meeting, the former number one hero only told himself that it was all his fault Midoriya was taken away so easily.
"No-not at all, All Might! Please don't blame yourself." Midoriya stuttered, the sight of his idol blaming himself for what Midoriya has purposely done didn't sit right with him. Even if it was an alter self.
Yeah, the boy was taken away so easily...
Wait.
"Oh, my KAMI! Why was All Might the only one to realize something was wrong, even before Nezu!"
The audience was in a state of uproar, All Might felt pride in the small accomplishment that he alone figured something was wrong amongst the staff members in that room. Intentional or not his smug yet content face annoyed Aizawa more than his laugh.
--
"All Might is unlocking his big brain moment." Kaminari cheered, hooking arms with Sero as they cheered.
"Kaminari bro it's more insulting when you say it." Kirishima laughed.
--
"Come on All Might! You can do this, connect the dots!" Toru exclaimed, waving her half-empty popcorn box at the screen.
"Yeah! Connect the dots!" Ochaco echoed donning a large smile.
"Are you sure his peanut-sized brain won't shut down?" Shigaraki muttered, slightly scraping the layer of dry skin off his neck. Suddenly, he stopped, watching his nails coated in sought blood as he sighed, covering the bruise with his palm, pinky finger out.
"I guess it is an alternative world." He scoffed.
The boy was taken away so easily.
Izuku Midoriya was not the one who would just let any villain grab him. He was one stubborn fighter. Then why was it so-!?
"Thank you All Might." Midoriya hummed, happy at his praise.
"It's only the truth kiddo," Toshinori affirmed, giving a thumbs up.
"All might, I know you don't want your age to be known, but how old are you??? Who says kiddo?!" Midnight questioned.
"Erm-"
Could it be,
That Midoriya was planning something?
"Not as dumb as I originally assumed." Endeavor scoffed, as Toshinori stared at his former rival.
"Endeavour how mean, I nearly thought you looked up to me." He grinned as a vein exploded in anger.
"WHEN THE HELL DID I EVER LOOK UP TO YOU?!" Enji seeth, steel rising from his head.
Alisha stared in awe. She was positive his quirk was deactivated.
With how obsessive you were for being number one many times. Shoto thought rolling his eyes at his father's loud mouth.
--
"Yes, yes he is."
I'm really scared about what Midoriya-kun said to Headmaster Nezu, did no one else hear? I feel like I was spoiled. Koda thought as he looked at Toru who was expressing her excitement by shaking Ojiro.
--
"Finally someone else who is smart." Mirko sighed in relief.
"Woah did it get brighter in here?!" Mitsuki gasped, voice laced in sarcasm.
"Mitsuki no." Masaru laughed trying to stop his wife.
"Well, no f*cking sh*t," Katsuki grumbled.
"Why would you assume that? It wasn't as if it's obvious." Momo exclaimed.
"WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?!" Mic yelled, dramatically putting his hand on his face.
"Whaaaatttt???? No waaay!!! That can't be it! Izuku is stupid and useless, how can HE come up with such a complicated plan! He totally failed the Civil War and did not win that b*tch flawlessly. That's ridiculous! Rabid Pomeranian boy was a better leader, I'm sure if he was the villain leader I would have seen blood in every scene!" Toga sighed, after her minor word vomit.
"And you want to know why we call you a traitor." Spinner tsked.
"The sarcasm was strong in that one." Giran sweatdropped.
Midoriya decided he would ignore anything Toga said for the whole chapter, no he wasn't crying and it didn't sting at all.
"Guys, they started back speaking sarcasm, someone stop them!" Tsubasa exclaimed, gagging Monoma who was definitely not going to spout a whole paragraph full of sarcasm.
--
"Why am I dumber than that parentless moron." All For One questioned rubbing his temples.
Toshinori, who was still giving light teases to his kohai stared at All For One in disdain, as the room became silent, Toshinori parted his mouth slightly, the tension rising, as he raised his hand to his neck with a laugh.
"That means so little coming from the person who was hated by his brother. Yet you have less of a say them me, aren't you parentless too." Toshinori exclaimed with a dead sigh.
Keep Nana out of your filthy *ss mouth, you no eyes expired deodorant.
--
"All Might was parentless??" Kaminari whispered alarm as Sero shrugged, surprised as well.
So All Might didn't have any parents... Shoto hummed.
~O~
The rest of Midoriya's day seemed to go on by him only trying to use more quirks. And for the green-haired boy, when it came to quirks, time always seemed to fly by so fast. He didn't even realize that he had been there practicing alone as both All For One and Kurogiri had left for something else. Though, he did notice Kurogiri coming back into the observation panel after some time and watching over him as he got a better hold of his new power.
Sadly, he couldn't practice Toga's quirk since he needed someone else's blood for that.
"...I believe that's a good thing Leader-san," Ibara replied.
"S a d l y, he says. Pft, why didn't we kidnap him instead of Bakugou?" Dabi laughed.
"The sadly, has me feeling a bit disturbed, kero." Tsu shivered. Beru nodded in agreement.
"Ah, you can use Jin's blood, he wouldn't mind!" Toga pointed at her friend, who was furiously shaking his head and signing no.
Midoriya looked at the vampire before politely declining.
The others seemed to work perfectly fine just like All For One had told him earlier. He could pretty much use the quirks almost perfectly. Guess you can say, being a nerd pays off. Especially in this situation.
Midoriya's only regret at that moment was how worried everyone back at UA would be for him - those in particular to whom he didn't tell anything at all. Like, All Might for example. But whatever, everyone being worried made it look more original so why not? Everyone being worried about him and searching for him would give a nice touch to his plan so let it be. He'd apologize later... or maybe not at all.
"No, you better apologize, young man, to your mother and me." All Might warned as Izuku gulped. Nodding at his predecessor's words.
"What about us then??" Class 1-A and the Villain Team chorused.
--
"This kid is a goner," Giran spoke with a grin. Tapping Twice's shoulder a bit.
"You're a bad guy, but that does not mean you're a bad guy. - APOLOGISE TO YOUR MOTHER YOU WASTE OF SPACE!" Twice yelled at the teen.
"Wow." Muscular whistled at Jin's demonic screech.
--
In the background. The unstaffed heroes were too busy laughing.
"I want him to intern with me next year," Mirko exclaimed stretching her legs over Hawk's lap.
"Are you sure? Well, then I'll request him to join Tokoyami and myself for the next work study." Hawks exclaimed laughing as Mirko's face turned pale.
"D*MMIT!! I forgot it had those! Hey! Mr denim! Is it possible to have Midoriya for dual work studies??" Mirko questioned.
"No, but there is another way." He teased before focusing on the screen.
"Wait don't cut me off, please tell me!"
Anyway, Midoriya's attention was brought away from the quirks and UA when Kurogiri called out to him, telling him that it was getting pretty late and he should eat something and take some rest.
'Oh, whoa, someone cares!'
"Mamagiri is back at it!!" Mina cheered.
"I am still uncomfortable with that name," Kurogiri exclaimed.
--
"I'm so happy I learned sarcasm!" Pony cheered.
"I only learned sarcasm from this, shroom! Now I understand why Kuroiro likes it so much, shroom!" Komori giggled.
"At least I wouldn't be blamed for tainting you as Monoma did to Pony." Kuroiro shrugged.
"Shroom? Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be innocent. Shroom."
Midoriya was led outside the area by Kurogiri. The two walked up a flight of stairs in silence before Midoriya realized that they were recently underground. Upon, arriving at the first floor, the two saw Twice passing by. The villain stopped when he saw Kurogiri and Midoriya and waved at them with great enthusiasm.
"Kurogiri! And Midoriya, right?!" Twice exclaimed as he walked up to them. Kurogiri merely nodded as Midoriya turned to look at Twice.
"So, he's the one joining us, amiright? Man, he's soooooo much easier than that chaotic rebellious child. Why can't the others just agree simply like him? Though that was very ruthless of you to betray the heroes, kid. I'm proud of you already." Twice said poking Midoriya's forehead.
"Petition for Twice to be a teacher at UA! Let him be the substitute teacher!" Uraraka murmured, watching his cute interactions.
"If there's one I'll sign in!"
"Principal Nezu, please! Can't you make a villain rehabilitation center?? We want Twice as a teacher!"
"Yeah!"
"Please!"
"I'll score 70% in all my subjects!"
"Kaminari, we all know that's an impossible task, why not aim for a 50?" Jiro jabbed.
"... You're not wrong..."
"Why does Class A get a say! We want Twice as a sub teach too!" Tetsutetsu preached.
Meanwhile, Stain was marveling at the minor riot, the LOV, minus Toga all agreed that Twice was now disbanded. But they'll visit...
Sometimes.....
To burn the school down.
I'm kidding!
--
"I wonder if I can adopt him..." Momo hummed in thought.
"WHO THE F*CK ARE YOU CALLING A CHAOTIC REBELLIOUS CHILD HAH?! JUST BECAUSE YOUR DAMN SORRY *SS EXCUSE FOR A HIDEOUT GOT EXPOSED YOU'RE BLAMING IT ON ME?! IN ALL DAMN F*CKING FAIRNESS, I SHOULD BE MAD HERE NOT YOU SH*TTY *SS B*TCHES. WHO THE F*CK TOLD YOU SORRY *SS VILLAINS I WANTED TO BE A PATHETIC VILLAIN?! YOU FIND SOCIETY UNFAIR BECAUSE THEY BASED YOU ON YOUR QUIRK AND PERSONALITY YET ISN'T THAT THE SAME BULLSH*T THING YOU DID TO ME?! YOU HYPOCRITICAL F*CK!!!" Bakugou raged, the string of bleeps causing others to duck in pain.
"He has a point." Stain nodded. Overhaul agreed to the statement.
"Uh... Thanks, I guess?" Midoriya smiled awkwardly.
"WHY THE F*CK ARE YOU SMILING DEKU!!"
"It's not me Kacchan!"
"You guys heading somewhere?" Twice asked Kurogiri.
"No. I was just taking him to his room so he could rest." Kurogiri replied.
"Leave that to me!!" Twice gave the bartender a thumbs up as he threw an arm around Midoriya, "I'll take care of him like my little brother-! But wait, I killed my little brother... Just kidding! I never had a little brother, to begin with!" Twice exclaimed gleefully.
"I-" Mirio was left speechless.
"I appreciate the thought, Jin-san." Midoriya smiled.
"-Unless..." He quickly turned around, putting his hand on his chin trying to think something as a black shadow surrounded him while Midoriya and Kurogiri just smiled at him.
"...unless... What?" Tamaki asked nervously.
"I'm scared," Eri muttered.
"...Are you sure you can handle?" Kurogiri asked. He wasn't getting paid enough for this.
"Wait a sec, you get paid?!" Compress asked baffled.
"It's probably Tomura's babysitting money." Toga explained. Calming down the unemployed magician.
"What the heck Toga!" Tomura seeth embarrassed. He nearly removed his hand from his neck before quickly clasping back on it. The scratch had already stopped bleeding.
"Fortunately, you are wrong, I always receive payment monthly, ever since I was a villain. The money you refer to as babysitting money is simply a bonus I receive biweekly." Kurogiri explained as Compress and the other members got furious at the newfound knowledge.
"WHY DOES MAMAGIRI GET PAID?! Why didn't you share?!!" Toga yelled.
"Where did all her sophisticatedness go?" Spinner questioned.
"I thought we already established All For One was stingy with his money?" Jirou questioned. Receiving a death stare from Machia.
"At least we have each other," Compress sighed, "Toga you're back in. It seems our transport was the traitor."
"..."
"...actually, I also receive my monthly allowance from Master, although it has started to decline after he was arrested," Tomura admitted.
"It did? I always received the same amount, although I did start to get ¥100 more than usual." Kurogiri seemed surprised at the revelation.
"Wait what?! YOU'VE BEEN STEALING MY MONEY!"
"That was me, seriously, you need to get a better password for your safety," Dabi confessed, grinning.
"So we were all betrayed!" Compress, Spinner, and Toga yelled. Twice just stared confused.
Midnight, alongside those who were interested in the drama, sat patiently eating their popcorn vigorously. Except All For One who decided to drink Earl Grey.
"Ooh! Drama~"
"Absolutely!!" Twice turned around, giving him a thumbs up again.
"Not!" Twice replied with a thumbs down.
"Fine then..."
~O~
5 minutes later...
"I don't know how to take care of children!!!!!" Twice cried.
"I should have expected that." Toga sighed.
"Um... I'm fine. I just-!"
"No, no, no! Don't say it! I'm taking care of you okay! Don't say anything. I know what to do. I'm an adult and I must take responsibility."
"What Hisashi should have done," Mitsuki grumbled.
"Mitsuki!" Inko warned shaking her head.
"Wait me?" Yamada questioned. Confused.
"No, Inko isn't interested in guys younger than her, at least, not over the ten-year gap-" Mitsuki was interrupted by Inko throwing her pillow at Mitsuki's face in full embarrassment.
"I told you Hisashi is in America!"
"Okay... Then how about we-!"
"I'm a horrible babysitter!!"
"... What the fu-?"
"Language!" Iida hand-chopped.
Besides Iida was too serious for his good. The rest of the auditorium was enveloped in laughter, to wheezing. A few were wiping their tears from their eyes at how hilarious the situation was.
"Toga!! Help me!!"
And so, Midoriya spent the rest of the day, or in this case; night with Twice and Toga. It didn't take too long before the other League members counted him among themselves as well. Twice was basically his friend now, Toga was way too much obsessed with him so he decided to keep his distance from her.
Spinner wasn't that hard to get to. Just by judging his clothing and fighting style; Midoriya knew he was a huge fan of Stain and since Spinner knew Stain spared and then saved Midoriya's life; he fell right in the palm of his hand.
"What's this about me, when did I have a fan club?" Stain asked surprised.
"It happened when you were captured Stainie~" Toga giggled.
"Captured?" He repeated confused.
--
"Hey, hey, Deku is really social in the villain world." Neijire hummed.
"Well, sh*t he made friends." Mirko laughed at the situation. Hawks smiled a bit before looking down with a neutral expression.
What if they become suspicious of who I stand for because of this...
Mr. Compress tried to put up a challenge. Midoriya had to impress the magician with his knowledge and his amazing hold on the villain's quirk. However, Mr. Compress was taken aback by the detailed knowledge the boy had. As a good magician, he always preferred to be updated. And this kid had it all.
"That's obvious, it's our leader you're talking about!" Monoma cackled. Fiddling with a small sphere.
"Sorry guys, I don't know when he got Compress' quirk." Tsuburba sighed.
Midoriya never saw Dabi around the base so he figured he would just have to wait for the next day or whenever he would be able to see him. Midoriya already knew Kurogiri trusted him enough to let him roam freely around the base.
And now, the green-haired boy decided that his next prey would be Tomura Shigaraki...
"Either I wasn't there because I was getting some products or I was planning to hack into Shigaraki's Minecraft world," Dabi admitted.
"And you wonder why I hate you."
--
"It's so interesting to see someone like Kurogiri being the figure who allows or doesn't allow him to roam along the base freely, or with a guard. Shows how much influence and how much of a leader he is." Nezu complimented switching his cup of tea for a wine glass.
"Thank you for the kind words, but your assumptions are quite far-fetched." Kurogiri hummed, slowly being lured by the scent of wine.
"I am the principal, I don't give praises out so carelessly, ... mind joining me for a drink?"
"...Just for a little bit." Kurogiri complied.
~O~
Hitoshi Shinsou had done the first thing he was supposed to do according to the new journal Midoriya left behind for them.
Apparently, Midoriya visited a bookshop three days before the kidnapping had occurred and he placed a few orders that Shinsou was supposed to deal with.
"Ooo!" Those simply dawn into the screen wowed at the once again, strategic mind of Midoriya.
"Huh?" Kamikiri questioned confused, Bondi scratched his chin confused as well.
"We found more Kaminari's." Jirou echoed.
"Hey!"
"Damn."
"Come on, being a Kaminari isn't a bad thing!" Kaminari protested.
"Then I guess I should be paid for this as well," Shinsou stated with a grin, oh. Wait a sec, why does it look so similar to Aizawa?!
As the instructions said, Shinsou dialed the number written in the journal which he assumed was of the bookshop's delivery service. When someone picked up the call from the other end he told him three different addresses that were also written down in the journal for three different deliveries.
After the call, Shinsou looked at the journal again to figure out what book was going where and to whom. And to his surprise, he knew two of the three addresses very well. But he couldn't figure out where the third book was going. An out-of-context book, different from the others going to a place Shinsou never knew about.
The books were;
The Art of War to the Pro Hero Endeavor.
"Why did I think Endeavor was the one who wrote it." Setsuna thought with a groan. Rin and Awase looked at one another with a dead glance before sighing.
"And you're an idiot," Rin exclaimed.
--
"Good choice, and an amazing choice for the one who solved the most crimes by themselves in Japan." Momo complimented.
Shoto, covered his most to avoid laughing as Enji thanked the student for her kind words.
"It not as if he won the number one title." He spoke as Midoriya accidentally overheard.
"Todoroki-kun!" Midoriya exclaimed, trying not to laugh as well.
Spies of Nippon to Momo Yaoyorozu.
"Ah, I never got about to reading that one. It was always so busy, being targeted by the same villain group." Momo sighed.
Shigaraki sneezed from his spot cursing whatever allergies he suddenly got.
And finally,
True Believers to an unknown person.
"Does anyone have an idea who that unknown person is?"
Could it be gran Torino? All Might wondered.
Well, at least he could ask Yaoyorozu what exactly was going to happen.
~O~
Enji Todoroki or better known as Endeavor was seen in his office, sitting by his desk, staring at a book that came in a few minutes ago. Sender unknown.
Though he can't deny the fact that the signature on the last page of the book was undeniably done by the Head of Public Safety Commission... That is unless someone is great at copying signatures.
"Forgery isn't something becoming of a hero Midoriya-kun!" Iida warned. Izuku ducked for his life bringing Eri down with him. The two cinnamon rolls looked up at the beanbag that had a tear and Iida's hand that was lodged between it in fear.
"Ah," Iida replied staring at his hand.
"..."
"...."
"Apologies. You can have my seat instead."
--
"Adding Endeavor to his plans, the leader is truly a master manipulator!" Monoma cackled.
"I shouldn't even be surprised now." Midnight replied eating her popcorn as Aizawa agreed.
"Wait, yo-you're misunderstanding, I... cannot forge signatures!" Izuku denied it, protecting his book and putting Eri on his back.
The book was old, he remembered hearing something about it but he never found the time to read a copy.
Perhaps, now was the time.
Endeavor opened the book and turned to the first page.
Everything except a few words was blacked out by ink.
"This smart *ss mother-" Kirishima couldn't continue, so he clapped.
Endeavor pressed his lips into a straight line, he wanted to read a copy of the book. Yet his slight sulking was interrupted as he saw Hawks stiffen.
Meanwhile, with Hawks, he didn't know how to feel. Should he be worried or impressed by the student? He hopes the League of Villains wouldn't catch on.
"...haha, I like your style kid. We should hang out once in a while." Hawks suggested. Midoriya had a mental breakdown before replying with an enthusiastic yes, because it's the number 2 hero Hawks, how can he say no?
"YES! I'LL BE HONOURED!"
--
"Deku-kun you're a genius!" Uraraka praised.
"Yes, Mr. Deku is smart!" Eri agreed.
--
"Oh wow, I'm impressed," Aizawa exclaimed.
He managed to make Sensei Aizawa impressed, amazing! Koda thought astonished.
--
"Midoriya teased Endeavor on the book, look how his expression fell, I mean you can barely see it on the first try but if you rewind in slow motion it's hilarious!" Setsuna exclaimed, holding the remote. Thirteen slightly regretted resting it on the table as she felt Endeavor glare at her.
"That's a sh*ton of ink." Kendo whistled at the unexpectedness.
"I feel so sorry for the first page, Are all the pages like that?" Pony thought making sure Bondo was awake.
--
"THIS IS WAY TOO HYPE!!!"
"IZUKU MY BOY, I'M SO PROUD!" All Might laughed.
"And he says Midoriya isn't his son." Todoroki tsked.
"Midoriya Izuku is steps ahead of All For One and you can't tell me otherwise." Dark Shadow huffed.
"Wait, why use my full name???"
--
"That's all???"
Alisha looked at the wasteful eyes. Some just wished to see Midoriya fail, others his victory and a minor just craved blood but Alisha could tell very easily that if she didn't show the next chapter she had a feeling she was going to be called out a lot.
But it's summer vacation!! Alisha mentally cried.
Footfalls descended at a hurried pace, as his hands gently held unto another. Ignoring all the hype he gave a slight bid to his friends walking in front of his attempted killer.
"Shigaraki-kun..." He whispered, green eyes determined as the nearby spectators watched his every action. Eri held tightly onto her Saviour's hands watching the fingerprint marks on his neck.
"What is it brat?" Shigaraki replied avoiding the staring contest with a roll of his eyes. Midoriya gulped, and outstretched his free arm before stopping, resting it back at his side.
"Sorry, if you get mad, but, are you injured?"
"...what?"
A/N:
Yes. I updated.
Bye.
