| 13 | Evil Tea |
Presently, the occupants in the room were discussing different things. Some were a little self-conscious because they mightn't receive their quirks after this while others were enjoying themselves. Overhaul who woke up a while ago was being updated by Muscular on what happened while Bondo secretly listened.
Momo's eyes caught the words on the screen and her eyebrows perked up in curiosity.
Evil Tea? What an odd title. She thought.
Nezu gave a genuine smile although he wondered what the flavor could be.
"Why is the title so cringey?" Tomura snarled.
"It isn't cringey!" Toga defended.
"Toga lower your voice it's about to start." Kuroguri scolded.
~O~
What is wrong with all my bones? First I got my right arm broken. Then my left arm. Now it feels like something's wrong with my right kneecap. I don't remember hitting something hard enough to hurt my knee. Oh my god, do I sleepwalk?!
The audience became quiet and Midoriya felt countless needles pricking at his neck.
"Not another one..." Chiyo sighed.
"... eh?"
"The Narrator reminds me a lot of Deku-kun." Uraraka hummed.
"Of course the f*cking Narrator would decide to act more like a Deku." Katsuki sighed.
"Hm... would my healing remedy be of any help?" Momo wondered not dazed at all.
"Why are you guys acting so calm!?"
"I wonder if they are related," Todoroki murmured
"EH, Todoroki-kun?!"
I wonder if Narrator-san is as cute as Izuku~ Toga blushed imagining... yeah let's not get creeped out.
Inko giggled at her son being teased as Mitsuki massaged her numb arm. All Might sat near them also chuckling as Midoriya cried to them to stop.
--
"I wish I can use my quirk better..." Eri abruptly spoke as Neijire looked down curious.
"Hey, hey. What do you mean by that Eri-chan?" Neijire asked alerting the third years next to her.
"Eri is something wrong?" Mirio asked crouching to her level. Eri gave a slight smile before touching the small lump on her head.
"If I can use my quirk better, Narrator-san wouldn't have to worry about her bones breaking or hurting, right Lemillon?"
"Of course, but I believe that she is happy that you cared." Mirio praised. Stealing her from Hado and lifting Eri into the air. Tamaki sat on the beanbag giving some mental support to Eri.
"That's right Eri! She must feel very touched." Midoriya added, finally free from the playful teasing.
"So... manly." Kirishima and Tetsu cried.
Also, I know I said that I want to write a new story and I said that would be Fantasy AU but a little change of plans I'm writing a Demon AU. Though I'll still write the other one as well. Enjoy the part! And grab some evil tea...
"Woah! There's actually more movies about us?" Denki cheered as Mina thought about her Fantasy self.
"As I told you, there are countless multiverses which are evolving around you guys."
Man, I look sexy. Mina praised with a satisfied huff.
~O~
Before the Hero Team could reach the system of underpasses to assist their teammates, the Villain Team moved out. The Hero Team had a good reason to be late for assistance and that was the flood Midoriya created. Getting themselves out of it took them enough time that Team Villains escaped after doing their job. But this time, Bakugou was oh so infuriated. He wanted to get those sly Villains out of the game as soon as possible.
"Ah, so that was the reason for the flood." Compress hummed in glee. "Very cunning indeed."
"That... DAMN NERD!!!"
Out. Of. The. Game.
"You just lost, you weren't even fit to be the last Boss." Shigaraki sighed.
Out. Of. The. War.
And he was gonna make sure that the Villains would be going down this time.
"YEAH! I didn't vote on you to lose so let's get cracking!"
"Let's do this guys!"
~O~
Upon arriving at the system of flyover and underpasses that connected the entire artificial city. Team Heroes found nothing but enormous pieces of ice, solid and concrete but onomatopoeia with large green vines wrapped around most everything. But there weren't any other Heroes in clear sight. Well, they were aware that Ojiro got eliminated, thanks to Present Mic's unnecessary loud announcement, so they knew that the helping bots from the faculty retreated him out of Ground Beta.
"It's not unnecessary loud!" Yamada yelled.
"What's with this collateral damage? I don't think we can even do that in a few minutes." Spinner was flabbergasted.
"I understand why the Villain Team would create such damages. But as heroes, you should keep damage to a minimum." All Might reminded.
"Yes Sir!"
3× Points deducted. Nezu thought cleaning his paw.
A few shuffling noises from the vines at the left. Visible movements and soft grunting sounds sat the group of Heroes on guard. But they all sighed in relief when Tsunotori came into their view.
"Peek-a-boo!" Pony giggled.
"Tsunotori?!" Kendo exclaimed and rushed to her friend's aid. She helped her get out of the vines as the others observed the area.
"Where the hell is Half n' Half?!" Bakugou yelled in question as he turned to the blonde foreign girl who replied by shaking her head in a no, symbolizing that she had no idea of what happened to Todoroki. Where the hell was he? Their attention, however, was derived from Asui and Kirishima.
"He got brainwashed," Dabi spoke.
"Apologies." Todoroki bowed towards Kirishima, who was their lieutenant. The redhead instantly dismissed the apology with his toothy smile.
"No worries bro! I'm just hoping you're okay."
"What if they're using Todoroki, as a hostage?!" Toru yelled in alarm.
"Then I'd tip my hat off to them," Bondo said.
"Hey, guys! We found Bondo!!" Kirishima called out as he appeared to walk towards his fellows Bondo's arm sling around him, supporting the Cemedine-quirk user as his other arm was being supported by Asui. Meanwhile, Uraraka mumbled something like she could have used her quirk to help Bondo.
"Oh yeah, why didn't we rely on Ochaco-chan? Kero?" Tsu wondered.
"He was in that underpass, ribbit!" Asui said, pointing towards the underpass Bondo was in.
"What happened to him?" Kamakiri asked.
"He also gotten brainwashed, poor guy.★" Aoyama sighed.
"Aren't they... your opponents?" Some of the Hero Team asked him.
Cementoss eyes opened in understanding. "Wait was the reason, they eliminated Ojiro-kun was because they knew that he knew about how Shinsou-kun's brainwashing works?!" Cementoss turned towards the one person who can give an immediate response.
"That actually makes a lot of sense Sensei!" Awase complemented their... history teacher??
Nezu decided not to answer and began to drink his green tea.
Where the hell do those cups come from?!
"No idea. He was just. Standing there and... I don't know. He was just staring into nothing. Maybe we should take a break?" Kirishima said as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Wait, why didn't we take Bondo with us as well?" Koda asked a little confused. Shoji who was nearby thought a bit before being interrupted by the purple midget.
"I guess they wanted him to spy on the Heroes," Mineta interjected.
But that wouldn't work. Shinsou thought.
"That's a smart thing you said, Mineta!" Kaminari praised.
"I don't want to be hearing that kind of thing from you!!"
--
"What the hell are you talking about Break?! Can't you see we're in a pickle here?!"
"The f*ck sh*tty hair?! Did I just hear you correctly?! Why would we take a break now! We already lost three objectives any more than that and it'll be difficult to win!!" Bakugou yelled, making sure that Kirishima would understand how foolish his idea sound.
"But a break does sound nice, plus we can be able to clear our heads better than running around on sheer anger and frustration," Iida spoke.
These are two entirely different people. Uraraka thought listening to the other's opinions.
"We're gonna lose at this point!!!"
"Midoriya may be the Villain Leader, but I don't think he's that heartless to let them work without resting," Tetsutetsu exclaimed, which said a lot since he doesn't know Midoriya that well.
"But that doesn't change the fact that we're still behind; if he's going to let his team rest isn't now the best time to act?" Sero asked.
"That is true..."
Give up you lost a long time ago. AFO sighed. Well attempted to, it came off as a hippo on steroids trying to exhale.
Toshinori, who had one lung may I remind you, failed at holding in his laughter, blood fled from his mouth by that action. Although others were snorting near him. I'm watching you, Best Jeanest.
"A-All Might-san!! Here's a napkin!" Midoriya fled to his Mentor's side.
"Break?! Are you kidding me!! Those bastards of villains will be already running to the next objective and you're talking about breaks?!!!" Bakugou yelled.
"Even Bakugou agrees that taking a break is foolish."
"Yeah but-"
"They are human too! It's not as if Midoriya has turned them into immortal titans or something!! Gosh, darn it!! Who knew Midoriya would turn out to be so witty!!" Kirishima argued.
"Where have you been this past year?" Iida honestly asked.
"Yeah, Deku-kun has always been witty, it isn't something so shocking Kirishima-kun."
"Oui.☆"
"I wouldn't be surprised if he had." Spinner mumbled.
"We are not stopping. Especially when that Half n' Half bastard is missing! It's not my problem if that idiot is weak!!"
"Not manly dude." Tetsu⁴ sighed.
"Hah?!"
"Of course it's your problem!! You are our leader, dammit!! Get serious for once, will ya?! Mr. Aizawa was right when he said we'll come to know the reason you two were chosen like this! And you know what's yours? That you can't lead!! Your everyone-is-below-me-attitude will get us all killed!! We need to move together as equals!! Because we are a team!!" Kirishima yelled out.
An awkward silence resonated throughout the room until... someone whistled.
"Oh thank you!"
"Finally someone said it!"
"Kirishima, you are the man!!!"
Aizawa pretended he didn't hear anything although the answer was plain to see. At least no one has to tell him when it's all over.
"I actually forgot about what Mr. Aizawa said at the beginning." Sero scratched his head. A chorus of sames followed after him.
--
"Wow, they really didn't like his leadership." Overhaul said.
"Just like we didn't like yours?" Compress waved his robotic arm to Overhaul.
"Hello handless~"
"..."
--
Bakugou was silent, trying to piece together what Kirishima said before blinking in rage.
"What the f*ck?! Are you telling me I can't lead, Sh*tty Hair?!"
"No one answers him, quarreling right now will solve nothing, besides there's a handful of us who wish to finish watching." Best Jeanest sat down once he let his voice known.
"Thank you!" Alisha thanked him.
"Are you saying I can't be a leader?!?! HUH?!!" Bakugou yelled back.
"You basically said the same thing just now." Toga sighed.
"Stop it, both of you!!" Kendo's shout interrupted both of them. The two then looked at her before she continued.
"It's big sis, Kendo!" Tetsutetsu clapped.
"No, we were just getting to the good part..." Muscular fretted at the incomplete argument.
"How about this, let's assume that the Villains will take a break and we will set a trap near their next objective and send Bondo back to the base for a break!" Kendo said.
"Sounds nice," Tsunotori exclaimed.
"Why are we assuming that they are taking a break?!"
Is that where the title came from. Sato thought curiously.
"We're seriously going to lose at this point it's not even funny." Setsuna slouched.
"Er... That's a really good idea, Kendo... What do you guys think?" Uraraka asked as she looked at the rest of her teammates.
"Wow, that h-e-s-i-t-a-t-i-o-n~ Ochako, do you really think it's a good idea?" Mina asked.
"Honestly, no," Uraraka spoke firmly.
Deku-kun doesn't take breaks although his body is bleeding or breaking. Even if they're taking a break now, us taking a break as well would be playing into his hands.
"Sounds good enough to me." Kamakiri and Kirishima shrugged.
"Tch. Fine! But make it quick! The next one is pretty far from here!!" Bakugou said as he stormed off. And then, the others started following him out as well but Kirishima patted Kendo on her shoulder, stopping her as she turned to the redhead.
"Thanks." He nodded.
"Don't mention it." She sighed.
"I'm accustomed to dealing with loud crazy blondes." Kendo sighed.
Neito felt a chill up his spine and instantly seemed refuted in his beanbag. What the hell is that bloodlust?!
~O~
At the Villain's base, everyone was grouped there for their next move. And most importantly, Todoroki was there. Brainwashed. Out of his control. You see, Shinsou, using his Persona Chords, changed the pitch of his voice to meet Tsunotori's. So when Shinsou called out to Todoroki, he got him brainwashed. He did it before too when he was against Bondo. He brainwashed him but ordered him to go with the Hero Team and inform the Villains about what the Heroes have in mind. Because most certainly, Bakugou is super pissed off and would definitely try to outdo the Villains. But the Villains already predicted that so now...
"So Todoroki is our hostage..." Jirou murmured.
"That's actually, pretty cool!" Mina cheered.
"What's next? Kidnapping the League of Villains?- Ooo can I help?" Twice asked.
"Don't give them ideas."
"Time for some evil tea!!" Yaoyorozu exclaimed as she clapped her hands together in joy.
"I wonder what are the flavors needed to make such a brew?" Momo exclaimed as she looked around.
"YEAH!!" Team Villains exclaimed as they attacked their warm drinks. Well, what did you expect? They are humans. They need a break too!
"Kendo was actually correct."
"It was just an intuition." Kendo hummed.
"At least Midoriya didn't turn them to bone-breaking clones." Rin sighed.
"There's a lot of sighing this chapter!☆"
"Who knew being a Villain would be so lit!! Like there's no chance of failure!" Kaminari exclaimed as he grabbed his mug of warm tea.
"You didn't do anything as yet, Kaminari-kun." Midoriya gave a shy smile to the blonde.
"That's true but the Villain's Team is the best!"
"It's really surprising to see how much you guys are happy to be on the villains side."
"You haven't even done anything yet, dumbass," Monoma said while drinking his tea.
"Ouch, couldn't you say that nicer?!"
"No."
"Jirou, play despacito." Kaminari wailed.
"No."
"You too?!"
"And also let's not forget you're in the next group..." Midoriya said from his desk with a serious tone. "But for now, let's celebrate half victory!!!" Midoriya exclaimed after a few seconds of deafening silence and the team cheered as well.
All Villain Team and those that voted for them cheered for their half victory.
"Oh yes, here's a small. Sample of the evil tea." Alisha snapped her fingers and a coffee cup appeared in front of everyone.
No one hesitated, they basically got nothing to eat or drink in a while so they were happy for the sample.
Wait isn't this... Midoriya smiled.
"Besides, I can tell the Heroes are already on a dead end." Yanagi smiled.
"Oh yes! They wouldn't be able to even get near our objective." Kodai smiled as well as drank her tea.
"Wait, isn't that the same objective we were planning on putting a trap by?" Kamikiri pointed out.
"Aint this tea feeling evil?" Fukidashi asked.
"It sure does!" Eri smiled licking her lips. Poor Hero Team... Eri voted for the Villains side.
"Sure is!" Jirou replied.
"Extortion, play the thing! It's the perfect time!" Midoriya exclaimed.
"Wait are they going to start playing music?!"
Dabi laughed, "This Villain Team isn't quite bad. Maybe I should join them instead... kidding!"
"They are underestimating us a little too much," Setsuna growled.
"On it, leader!" Shinsou nodded and pressed a few buttons on a computer before the screen started playing footage of the Hero Team's Base. How though? Simple. Since Bondo couldn't directly inform them about the Heroes, Shinsou placed a small, tiny, always active camera on Bondo's shoulder. So now everything that Bondo sees, they see. And this is how they were going to figure out the construction and overall paths and directions of the Hero Team's base for their last objective; which included killing the leader of the Heroes.
"Seriously how big-brained would this get?!"
"Very ambitious." Inko hummed.
"Who the hell, said that you were going to kill me?!" Bakugou roared at the greenette.
"Kacchan! Eh, um.. shouldn't you be more aware of your team?"
~O~
The group of Heroes including,
Bakugou, Kirishima, and Kamakiri were now at a bank that was a little far away from the previous location. The rest three took Bondo back to the base.
"Oh no! We actually were playing right into his hands!" Shishida facepalmed.
"Which is why taking a break was foolish!" Bakugou interjected.
Now there was the trio at the entrance. Fully aware of civil-bots moving freely around the bank that they had to protect and they walked stealthily in to look if there was a sign of a single Villain. But gladly there was none.
"Yes, we arrived before them!" Kamakiri cheered.
Now, when they had entered the bank's center, they started to look for the fourth objective they had to protect from the Villains. And once they reached somewhat near the destination, they were shocked beyond...
"Oi, oi! What the hell is with that Shadow!!" Mitsuki yelled.
"WHO THE HELL PLACED A NUKE AT THE CENTER OF A GOD DAMN BANK?!?!!!!!" Bakugou yelled.
"..."
"Wtf! A nuke?! Was this the surprise?!"
"Wait, maybe it's the teachers that placed it." Ochaco tried to be optimistic.
"Highly unlikely."
Yes, there was an atomic weapon- large enough to touch the ceiling- resting at the center of the room. A small red light on its left, beeping every second. There weren't any digits representing when it would blow up everything. So, it was unknown if there was a specific time for it or would it blow up when the Heroes came near it or maybe Midoriya had the trigger? Who knows! Anything could be possible when there are no fidgets representing time!! On top of that; the damn weapon was connected to the entire room - possibly the entire building - with the polygon-mesh-like structure of black metal with possible wires in it.
All Might spat out blood.
"All Might!!" Midoriya yelled.
"What the actual f*ck! Who the hell had time to make that?!"
"The real question is how they made it fit through that door." Compress intervened.
Was it you Kodai? Monoma thought, grinning at the idea.
"Wait do how are we going to protect the objective??"
"You mean behind the large nuke? Let's evacuate the civilians first." Ochaco added.
"Bakugou next to a large nuke... yeah, we're doomed."
"Please let that be fake!!"
"Dammit, we can't even tell when it's going to explode!"
"We are finally going to see some blood!" Toga and Muscular cheered. Stain looked at them with an unreadable expression.
"Brat, are you sure you want to be a hero?" Shigaraki asked. Spinner deadpanned at him. He finally caved in huh.
"Deku-kun will always be a hero!"
"Yeah!"
They are at a dead end.
"R.I.P."
~O~
"Is it just me or did Young Bakugou really yell about a nuke?" All Might asked, a little shook by the fact that there might be a real nuke down there.
"Wait so it wasn't the teachers who placed that?!"
"Oh, cr*p! We forgot Hatsume was on the Villain side..."
"What's so important with the Technician?" Stain asked curiously.
"Most of her inventions end up exploding if not done properly so.." Iida explained before realizing who he was explaining to.
"Well, actually if we look through the cameras, All Might, there is, in fact, a nuke in the bank. By the looks of it, it seems to be pretty neatly built and can surely cause destruction on a great level. Brilliant move!" Nezu said as he sipped his evil tea.
"Thank you, sir." The Villain Team accepted their praise with a smile.
"Are you kidding me? Is this stuff even allowed?! Where exactly did Young Midoriya find the blueprints to this thing?!" All Might asked as he coughed up blood with his speech.
"Most likely Hatsume." Power Loader spoke.
"If not her then Yaomomo," Mina added.
"Why are you guys saying it like Midoriya may not know the blueprints himself?" Tokoyami asked.
"You think either Yaoyorozu or Hatsume can make something like that?! I mean look at its size!!" Vlad King exclaimed.
"It definitely was one of them, or maybe both??"
"Wait size?"
"Extra points to these girls! I love their work!" Midnight exclaimed as she brought more popcorn for herself.
"Thanks, Sensei!" The two girls choruses.
"So cute."
~O~
Earlier to the second objective, we see Yui Kodai moving towards the building of the bank in Ground Beta.
"It was you?!"
"No way!" Rin shouted surprised.
Kodai had a little black metallic rocket-shaped device with many polygonal thin poles coming out in her palm. Once inside the building's center, Kodai used her quirk to enlarge the small device to a size enough to touch the ceiling. And then she stealthily escaped. Now a question arises, if she was already there then why didn't she secure the objective? You see the objectives can be secured only in a sequence. So, the Villains have to complete the second and the third one first.
"Oh, that makes sense, because I was wondering why," Bondo said.
"Kodai, I'd never see you the same anymore."
-Unknown to everyone else, the device was just a fake.
...
"WHAT THE HELL!!!!"
"I felt my heart skipping beats way too much," Shishida said holding his heart.
"Pfftt- Kyoka, did your classmates just got rick-rolled?" Jirou's dad asked with tears in his eyes. As you can see, he was laughing like crazy.
"Ugh, dad..."
"Midoriya! We might not have anything in common but please team up with me whenever we have classes!" Kaminari cried.
"That was very sneaky of you Midoriya-kun." Tsuburaba laughed as the others flabbergasted expressions were on display.
"Midoriya, how good are you at Shogi?" Nezu asked the teen. Midoriya faced his headmaster with a thoughtful look.
"I do play, but I'm not really that great at it..." The bashful Midoriya spoke.
"Midoriya my boy, you definitely shaved off some of my lifespans there." All Might chuckled.
Endeavor sat there surprised, at how cunning the boy who stood up to him during the sports festival was so cunning.
Hawks played with his feather with much interest. He didn't know why but he felt a connection with the greenette. I wonder how pranking the newly #1 hero would turn out.
