A- mummy ,plss ab ro mat . I'm fine maa

K- kitni chot lagi hai meri bachi ko ,can't you be careless annika?

She cried while caressing her face ,

A- mummy , chodo na(she whined )

K- kya chodo haan? All this happened and shivaay didn't tell anything to me . Usne,(interrupted)

A- he didn't do anything, usse kuch mat kaho tum

She warned seriously listening to which her mother was somewhere happy seeing her daughter being so defensive for shivaay. She could feel an overall difference in her ,she wasn't still the same small kid of her's rather she behaved an ideal wife.

K- fine ,I won't say anything about your husband . Happy ? When are you getting discharged ?

A- evening ,

K- teek hai ,I'll just meet the doctor once haan ,or else I couldn't sit in peace . Mein aathiyoon ani,

Saying this she went ,while annika sat shaking her head .Mothers! She saw police interacting with shivaay who stood outside the ward ,thank God karunya didn't see them . It seemed a serious conversation after which he came inside along with the cop . At once she hyped and kept her glance fixed on him .It's been an hour since he left the ward after their unintended fight ,and only now he returned back . Her curious vision was all set to seek a mere sight from him but no, he looked at everything but her . Still ,she didn't give up rather just kept looking at him. Her trance was broken by the cop's voice .

" sir , he's in a very critical condition .His case is really doubtful "

S- bach gaya?

His voice had an undying rage,that's when annika realized that they were talking about daksh .My god! Did shivaay just give him back that he's actually fighting for life? Shivaay is really a tough grudgeful person, she knew the reason behind it too. Anything and everything for her , she smiled faintly.

" if he dies ,this case would turn out big . So I couldn't leave without filing a case ,I know you had asked me to handle this unofficially par ,if anything happens...so ask your wife to file a written complaint"

Before she could think of her decision regarding it ,shivaay spoke .

S- nahi , whatever happens, I'll handle it . I don't want her to be included in this . If he dies ,I'm ready to face the consequences .

He spoke in a serious tone determined to never bring her name into this ,while she did nothing but just looked upon him as though he was the greatest thing which she could ever witness in her entire life .

" but sir..."

S- mein bol rahi hoon na? If you want a complaint, then take mine . I had a long time enmity with him personally ,so I did that . You can leave now ,I'll meet you at the station .

Saying this he moved out with the cop.

K- shivaay beta, uhh (she hesitated to speak)

S- what's it maa?

K- can she stay with me for tonight ? Vo kya haina ? Bahut dar gayi thi mein,

Immediately annika looked at him ,in a situation like this ,she couldn't stay away from him especially when she's seeking all chances to apologize. He thought for a few seconds before answering.

S- aap mujse kyun pooch rahi hai maa? She's your daughter ,you can (interrupted)

K- ek minute ,mein tuje nahi chodne waali hoon . Even you are coming and that's final.

S- par maa,

K- nahi shivaay , you are coming .

She ordered him strictly and smiled ,for which he passed a smile as he knew he couldn't deny . Annika felt her heart smiling greatly ,this was new but she just felt it !

S- teek hai maa, I'll complete the formalities before we leave .(he left from there )

As she saw him leaving the room at once she pulled her mother and kissed her cheecks leaving her all confused .

Night at annika's house,

Shivaay came completing his call , convincing pinky was really a tough job .Even she was worried on knowing that annika had met with an accident. If not she had called her personally and talked, she would have definitely visited her home by night. He saw her to be arranging the pillows,

A- kya kaha mummy ne?

She tried conversing , but he remained silent . She was baffled as he took a pillow and settled lying on the couch placed aside the bed .

A- shivaay ? What are you doing? Bed pe ...

She halted watching him turning the other side without facing her even. His silence had everything to stab her from inside without creating any scars or any sort of bleeding . Doesn't it sound insane? But it's natural when it happens with people who mean everything to you and annika was now experiencing the same . With all these days ,she had only practiced witnessing his complete love but suddenly getting such a clear ignorance from him was really terrible for her . She could feel her eyes glistening, but no . She had cried a lot ,enough . She knew she deserved it, after all she had said to him ,how much he would have suffered .

It's ok , she was ready for any punishment from him .But yeah ,one point was imprinted in her . Days to come might bring such painful situations for her ,but she was ready to face it knowing that the day when he would completely forgive her will also follow it . She smiled looking at the table where  he had arranged her timely tablets with a mug of water along ,typical shivaay!

He closed his eyes ,but again her words hit his mind . How was he ever going to erase them from his memory? If it was any other thing, there might have been a chance but ...but it was his love which she had put at stake and doubted.Will he be able to overcome this? This pain was unbearable for him.He kept thinking on this until sleep took over him,

It was past 2pm at night when thirst pulled annika who was half asleep . Sipping the water , she saw him to have been slept . Taking small steps ,she neared him and knelt down. She didn't do anything rather just stared at her husband ,till when she would ask for more. Before she could realize ,her hand was already tracing his hair, ruffling them smoothly through her fingers .

A- I'm sorry shivaay ,

She whispered before moving close , placing a deep kiss on his forehead she pulled back . She tried getting up ,but halted feeling something. A pleasant smile captured her lips when she noticed him holding her stole in sleep , he could never change this ! As always she removed her shawl and left it in his hand ,after which she covered him with the duvet and went to sleep.

A- nahiiii,

Annika shrieked opening her eyes , hearing the noise he woke up and found her to be checking her hands and rubbing over them as if she had just suffered a disaster. At once he neared ,and tried holding her hands which she immediately  jolted being scared. The room was air conditioned with 21° but still she was covered with sweat and shivered to breathe.

S- annika, kuch nahi hai . I'm here ,kuch nahi huwa hai aapko .

He somehow wrapped his arm around her shoulder ,his tight secure grip on her did bring her to normal which took a few more minutes. She saw the clock striking 5 in the morning. It was only when she realized it was a dream ,she felt life. How brutal the dream might have been , sometimes they leave least ways to convince ourselves that it was just a damn nightmare . She sipped the glass of water which he held for her ,

S- must be a nightmare , mein hoon aapke saath

She could feel his strong assurance in his words ,slowly she tilted her head and looked at him . Only she knew what it felt like within her when she caught him looking completely into her after a whole tradegedic day . Those oceaned orbs once again prepared a chance to meet her hazel ones which she thought wouldn't happen anytime soon .How did it just hide the pain aside and completely get filled by nothing else rather only care and concern for her? Maybe this is love ! she noted down .Being the very least educated when it comes to the subject named love ,his sudden exchange from anger to love was strange to her . Because her anger remained uncontrollable at times , she realized ...love has everything to drag a person between to extremities within a fraction of  a second. How soothing she felt with just getting hit by his sight . With just remaining in the same position for a few more minutes, it was he who pulled back first. He was about to step down the cot when she held him back,

A- please ...please ,

She whispered looking  at him, he knew she was scared and it's not the time for him to act heartless when it was his own heart which he knew was in need .

S- so jaayiye annika ,

He said and adjusted the pillows when his body froze feeling her arms entirely around his abdomen with her head landed on his chest .She seemed busy entering her sleep world, he remained a statue . Sensing that he hadn't reciprocated rather his hands were just laid aside her on the cot ,she felt hurt but still she didn't leave her hold on him . My husband ! something from her heart screamed and before she could realize ,she slept. Her best place for peace,

It was already 9 am ,when she woke up .She found his side empty ,and that's when Karunya came in blabbering something ,

K- ab tumhari tabyat teek nahi hai ,so it's ok now. But do you really wake up so late at your sasural too?

She questioned with a worried face watching which annika could only let out a chuckle .

A- shivaay kahan hai ?

K- he has gone to drop aju at school . Now go fresh up soon , breakfast tayyar hai. You should take your tablets too,

She voiced while gathering clothes for washing,

A- yahan baito na ,

K- I've lot of work annika ,

A- bol rahi hoon mein ! Idhar aao,

She pulled her mother and made her sit beside ,

K- teek hai ,what's it?

A- uhh ....have you fought with papa anytime ?

K- why are you asking this ?

A- bol na ?

K- haan ,

A- were you in fault at times ?

She asked innocently,

K- many times ,infact I guess I had majority! (She smiled ) now tell me what happened?

A- kuch nahi ,

K- annika , I know there is something. Or else why would you ask this suddenly? Kya huwa? Did you fight with shivaay ?

Annika just gave her a nod with her eyes glancing the floor,

A- he wasn't at fault ,but I lost my cool and shouted at him .(she spoke and rubbed her fingers on her forehead )

Karunya shook her head smiling before speaking,

K- married life mei ye sab hota hai annika , maybe I got you married when you weren't even expecting it but still ,shivaay bahut acha ladka hai. Just give him some time , sab teek hojayega . You are grown up now annika , you aren't a child anymore .So learn to adjust with things ,and mostly.... control your anger hmm?

She advised seriously and planted a kiss on her forehead .
