Annika noticed him hurrying his work in getting ready, as he had completed his job of combing his hair within few seconds which would take atleast 5 minutes usually . She was surprised ,why is  this man rushing up  things ?

He looked at her once before moving towards the calendar. At once he removed tearing the previous day's date, while his pupil were cornered to find her reaction. She stood confused ,and continued finishing her eyeliner with her gaze passing from him to the mirror every now and then.

She watched him leaving out with a gloomy face ," isse kya huwa?" She thought .

P- shivaay .

S- ha mom,

He reacted at once as though he was expecting it ,

P- itni jaldi thayaar hogaya tu? Mei kaana bhi nahi banaya abhi tak,

S- uhh... jaldi? I didn't know , mein bass as usual ...

He shrugged and shook his head slightly. That's when he noticed Omru there , he saw their giggling faces .

S- kya huwa Rudy?

R- baiya vo ,kal ham vo movie deka na ,I'm still not over that scene where...(he explained at started laughing along with Om who stood beside )

S- haan!

He answered in a low voice and passed a smile ,

"Lagtha hai sab bool gaye " he thought.

S- mein abhi aaya ,

He left to his room ,while all this was noticed by annika who stood near the kitchen.

As they watched him moving into his room ,pinky frowned complaining.

P- arey kya hai ye ? Bechara mera beta ,I can't see him like this. Sab tum donon ki vaja se huwa , mein abhi jaa rahi hoon uske paas mujse nahi ho rahi hai .

She hurried towards shivaay's room while Omru immediately blocked her way .

Om- choti maa plss plss choti maa , hamne plan kiya na ? Plss ,

P- par mera shivaay (interrupted )

R- kuch nahi bolenge aap, don't worry choti maa ... baiya will be the happiest today ! Chaliye mere saath ,

She still complained further ,but he somehow pulled her along and moved from there .

A- Om ? What's happening?

She asked being confused ,

Om- as if you don't know ,

He smiled playfully and she shook her head fastly ,

A- what ?

She seemed curious,

Om- aaj shivaay ka birthday haina? So we were planning to surprise him , we have asked everyone not to wish him now .Uhh..did you wish him at 12 ?

His question remained unanswered as she heard nothing rather about his birthday news.

A- Shivaay's birthday ! Really? !!

She exclaimed with an excited face ,

Om - you didn't know ?

Hearing this her smile faded slowly ,she just shook her head slightly .

Om- I'm sorry annika , I should've (interrupted)

A- no ...it's ok . I should've known this .(she looked down and immediately something striked her) hey Om! I ain't coming to college today . Got to do something special for my husband.

She exclaimed happily emphasizing the last word which automatically made him smile .

Om - even I'd like to stay ,but it won't work as he'll find out . But don't worry ,Rudy will join you .

A- teek hai!

She nodded showing a thumbs up.

In living room

When shivaay was all set to leave to college, he noticed annika seated on the couch along with Rudra.She seemed weak and dull,

S- Om , Chalein ?

He asked and looked at her , she sat upright seeing him there. She winked at Om ,before speaking.

A- uhh, I'm not feeling well today, thoda fever bhi hai. You guys carry on haan?

She acted as per their script,

S- kya ?  I...I'll call the doctor,

Before she could even space out a second to answer, he had grabbed his mobile and dialed already.

S- he'll be here in a few minutes,

Instantly she passed a "kuch karna!" type of look towards Rudy and he nodded obediently.

R- baiya aap jaayiye, mein hoona? I'll take care of bhabi . A good Romcom movie with doctor's medicines  can do wonders ,haina bhabi?

He signalled her and she immediately responded .

A- haa haan !

S- par ,(interrupted)

R- baiya , you're getting late . She'll be alright when you return ,I promise.

He assured and shivaay could only take tiny steps ahead past the door with his hesitant heart. She shook her head and sighed watching this ,how does he  even  manage to stay ignorant on her ? Like he's just too much into her man!

The entire day Rudra had to attend his calls which rang every now and then ,his only answer was " bhabi is totally fine now " which had various voice modulations according to the frequency of the count ,poor Rudy.

Evening

Entering inside the house ,he failed to notice the dark room as he was fully concentrating in his mobile, sending replies to all who've wished him .

Just when he thought ,his special day has already ended with nothing special ,a huge round shaped spotlight hit straight on him . He looked above to find it having a stream root from the top ,being baffled he took slow steps forward with the light following on him along. Through his way ,he noticed his childhood pictures arranged in straight columns on either sides centering him .

Each and every picture was actually a new one ,which he himself didn't knew existed till now . A sweet smile crept his lips as he watched each photo,why wouldn't he smile? childhood is the phase which anyone would crave to want again !

Soon glittering luminous balloons  surrounded the hall providing streak light lines down the floor . Before even he could gaze up to view them ,he heard a chorus singing "Happy birthday to you ...."

His lips reached the extreme sides of his cheecks witnessing his entire family standing with a candle each . Suddenly he felt the baby boy in him peaking out . He wasn't the one who would go for celebrations on birthday , but today... he knew what kind of joy emerged in him watching the scene infront. This wasn't something to be avoided ,indeed this was something to be celebrated !he realized.

He stood back watching them sing with a happy smile surrounding their faces ,his view stopped erect at once it moved past Om . Her shining eyes enhanced the sense of sparkle which flashed on her face ,with having the petal shaped flame from the candle as the only source of light ,she looked heavenly capturing him along through her magical smile.

" Happy birthday shivaay!!!"

They wished ,completing the song and soon the room was enlightened. He found it beautifully decorated with balloons and things ,every little thing was just according to his taste. His face literally went nil of anymore inches to curve wide on his lips ,he was so happy!

P- Happy birthday !

She engulfed him in a hug and kissed his forehead .

S- thank you mom !!,muje tho laga aap sab bool gayi honge.

P- arey aise kaise ? Mera heera beta ka birthday hai aur mein bool jaoon ? Pagal hoon kya mein,sab tera baiyon ka plan tha.

He glared at Rudra with a fake anger while Rudy plastered an innocent look on his face before hiding behind annika .

S- so you both ...haan? Do you know ki subah se muje kitna bura laga?

He maintained his strict voice, as his brothers nodded simultaneously watching which he let out his light laugh which he had been controlling till now .

R- expect the unexpected mei hi thrill hothi hai aur maza bhi!

He exclaimed ,and shivaay smacked his head immediately making him frown .

S- you know ? Expect the unexpected!

He giggled,

R- aap na ? Today is your birthday so no complaints ,aayiye...happy birthday to the best baiya in the world!!

And the trio shared an emotional hug which lasted for a few more moments .

Shivaay got blessings from daadi and Tejvi . On the other side, annika was finding all ways to wish him personally, but she couldn't which made her restless

P- shivaay ,chalo cake kaatthei hain .

To her displeasure she was the last one to whom he forwarded the cake. She wanted him to feed her but she just ended regretting for expecting it from him as he didn't. He seemed to have been maintaining distance with her which hurt her the most . Unfortunately ,none noticed this tension between the duo .

Suddenly she felt all alone with the full family around her,this straightly hit her heart... he literally means everything to her now .

His constant ignorance to her was breaking her from inside ,but it's ok she is strong enough to hold back and wait for him . Still, will she really be able to cope up with this when her heart just literally pieces out in situations like these . How can a person affect me this much? She complained ,maybe you're in love , her subconscious mind voiced out listening to which plastered a shy smile .

The day just brought enormous surprises for him ,he was entirely stunned on witnessing his dream car which his parents had bought for him to have been parked near the gateway .

S- wow!! Thank you so much dad ,I didn't expect this !!

He jumped upon and hugged his father who was so contented watching his son's face flourishing in joy .

Sh- hamara life ki treasure hai tu ,tumhare liye kuch bhi .Enjoy your ride !

He hugged him before  giving the key,

His eyes traversed around in search of her ,but she wasn't there . He came to know that she had deliberately taken leave today to stay at home and make all the arrangements. He felt good ...infact quite great too , but these things could never make up to decrease his inner heart which takes no time to ring her poisonous words whenever she's around . It remained as an inevitable scar in him ,he himself wasn't sure whether he will ever be able to forgive her .

It's his birthday today but he couldn't even spend time with her . True that he was dying for her wish ...still, he just couldn't react normally after all which had happened. He can act formally ,but it would be his worst nightmare ...like trying to gather himself in an act to behave normal with the person he loves the most.That would end up to be a punishment for him only. He would never want to act false with her .Forcing to bring up things won't ever lead good ,moreover she wasn't his compromisation ,she was his possession!

He excused himself and left to his room ,

A- searching for me ?

He turned back listening to her voice and found her standing near the door. Before he could react to her question ,he felt himself within her as she had already pulled him in a tight hug . She took a deep breath before voicing ,

A- Happy birthday shivaay ,

Her tone was merely heard as it was just a whisper, with no permission from him ,his face bloomed enlightening with  satisfaction . Something which  he had yearned for from this morning ,just a wish from her and he's feeling so happy . That's what she does to him .

Feeling his hands hanging down without reciprocating,she realized and  pulled back . With her eyes soaked in a nervously shy glint ,she tucked her hair behind her ear before bringing her other hand forward which she had been hiding behind .

A - tumhare liye,

He saw her holding a gift box ,watching him to haven't taken it still she insisted through her eyes .

She was searching for any kind of excitement in his eyes  ,but her expectation didn't turn out well. What has  she even done to this man ? She hated herself for changing him like this . She didn't want to ,but she had already marched out from the room .She didn't want to embarrass him ,if he's really not interested...it's ok .She can take that too ,hurts though.

Only if she know what was running within him . Let it be the very least ever thing  but,when it's from her .... he reaches wonderworld!

He was about to open the gift ,when his phone rang. He placed it on the table aside, and attended the call.

R- baiya aap yahan hai ,I was searching for you .What about our ride ? Aayiye

He signalled him to wait ,

S-  I'll call you later haan bye ,( he hung up the call )

And immediately Rudy pulled him along for their obro ride in the special new car .In a hurry Rudy accidentally  dashed   the table on which the gift was kept ,due to which the gift fell down beneath the bed .Unfortunately both didn't notice this,

She was arranging the pillows on the bed when suddenly she felt her feet hitting on something below .Watching the gift down there ,she was shocked .

Did he just throw it away ?

This question automatically brought tears which ran down from her eyes soon . She was in the verge of bursting out worstly.

She sensed him entering the room. Immediately she hid the box somewhere and rushed inside the washroom .

Clutching out the shower valve  she stood erect facing the freezing pour on her . That streaming pour was not able to match the pace of her tears today, no ...her tears seemed unstoppable. Feeling her feet which were loosing their balance ,she placed   both her palms on the wall to hold on .That's when she noticed something on her finger , a little black mark  seeked out as her ring  had been displaced slightly above .

Letting a weak sigh ,she pulled the ring which revealed SHIVAAY  exactly beneath it  . With her breath hovering up and down due to her continuous cries she brought her hand close to her face .

Count was an impossible detail now ,because she had no thoughts of  releasing her lips which was so engrossed in  pondering over his name which was imprinted on her finger. Maybe she didn't know what is love ,but she surely knew what her heart holds for him .If that is love ,yeah ...she loves him . 

What was the point in realizing it now when fate had already dragged him apart from her? She cried more palming her mouth as she knew the noise would increase more within any second around .

How does it feel when the only person whose mere attention you seek , just ignores you completely and moreover when all the efforts which you afford to express yourself goes completely in vain ? It's actually the most terrible feel ,which has all the strength to break you apart.

He searched for the gift everywhere ,but couldn't find it anywhere . He doesn't do things deliberately, but the situation always turns around and brings more problem. The worst part is ,he is left with no option to even realize what went wrong .

Maybe his love was now crossing the bed of thorns, to reach the roses.

He noticed her coming out , she seemed shivering with  contagious flow of droplets from her drenched hair which straightly hit her shoulders. She didn't dare to look at him knowing that it would be impossible to stop her tears then .

He watched her to grab her clothes from the cupboard.

Her wet feet failed to hold her and made her slip,but she knew the floor was too far as already her man had caught her securely .

Her eyes delicately played to wander into his 's, while he was scanning out her puffy orbs which mentioned her state.

S- aap teek hai ?

His words for her after a whole lot of days!! - Heaven !!!!

She blinked once and assured him before leaving to the restroom .

You're the dream  I go to everytime I  close my eyes 💞
