Level Four
I've been wandering around the Town of Beginnings for a while now, itching to get up to the second floor. Looking for a Boss Room is no easy task, though. Once you find it, you have to be prepared to run fast. Faster than the boss, anyway. Either that or you fight the Boss, and no one wants to do that alone.
I walk down a seemingly abandoned street, looking for anything that could mean a boss room. Turning the corner, I hear a small voice sobbing next to me. I look down and see a girl who doesn't look a day over twelve. Her short black hair shakes as her shoulders do. I bend down and look at her. She stops crying and looks back at me with huge brown eyes.
I smile at her. "It'll be all right," I tell her. "Someone will get to the hundredth floor soon enough, and then we'll all be able to leave this horrible place."
The girl smiles and nods at me. I put my hand on my sword hilt and continue looking.
I've been walking for a couple hours when I come to a grand door. It certainly looks like something a Boss would be behind, lying in wait for its victims. I shove the door open as hard as I can. It's really heavy, but I eventually manage. Looking up, I see the Boss.
A name appears above its head. Ruin Kobold Sentinel. As I look in, more of them appear. Five or six Sentinels appear before a figure comes into view at the center of the room. Its tag appears. Illfang the Kobold Lord. The Boss is protected by a bunch of minions, who are now rushing at me. I scream and run out of the room. And I don't stop until someone catches me.
"Whoa, whoa!" he says, trying to calm me down.
I can't catch my breath. "Just found... the Boss Room..."
The boy looks at me. His turquoise hair shines infinitely brighter than his soft blue eyes, which hide an air of fear. The look on his face is serious. "Why don't you tell me what you saw?" he asks, sitting me down. "My name's Diabel, by the way."
