No matter what kind of greetings he will hear from different people around him or chats from his friends and others, he will still smile gratefully and thank/message them back. Ah speaking of the best day in the year.

Valt Aoi is now officially a teen. Yes, Today is March 21 and it's his birthday. Aww he is growing up but of course, he is still the same kind and sweet guy we all know and loves

Greetings. Special Cards. Gifts. Cakes. Oh wow did you know he received a lot of those things? He never received this many kinds of things before! looks like being famous hit the spot huh

He laughs at himself and then stares over the mirror. Round innocent hazel brown eyes stare at his own. A big toothy smile spread on his lips when he notices how much he had grown up. Hahaha, no one would tease him small now. Take that!

Nah of course that's not the only thing he wants to look at in the mirror. He wants to his reflection.

Now his sweet smile turns into bitter when he gets a better look in the mirror and he frowns

But he shouldn't overreact like this. It's not he is afraid of the mirror. Then what is this weird feeling creeping on his chest like fire burning his heart?

They said people who are afraid of the mirror are those people who start to question themselves that their past self is different from the present self. Then people start to look back at the past and then ask there selfs like 'How much I've changed?'

"How much I've changed?" The blue boy asks himself too or rather his reflection

Did he become mature already? No one will call him childish and immature anymore, right? Does he even have character development?

Back to the real world. Valt blinked then stare again at his reflection when he notice the mirror is changing its form

The shiny glass start to illuminate into bright electric glowing sapphire blue light and a beautiful blue knight clad in sky blue armor with beautiful glowing golden eyes appears together with the dark horse with horns and fierce red eyes then it starts to neigh.

Oh, wait! That's his partner Valkyrie!

"Happy Birthday Valt"

Just hearing Valkyrie's soft voice feels like heaven to him. It's like all of his problems suddenly wash away and he feels so light as his hazel brown eyes start to brighten up and a big bright smile that could rival the sun start plastered on his face

He touches the mirror that emits blue warm electricity energy looking starts to pulse out and travel while dancing on his skin as he sighs in pleasure.

He laughs softly when he starts to feel ticklish at a touch of the tranquil blue energy

"Thank you Valkyrie for always being there for me even in small things and drama," Valt says gratefully

The knight nod and if the androgynous knight avatar is a human he bet that she would smile brightly too

But the warm soft golden hues on her eyes are enough to say it all

The blue energy starts to dissipate and the mirror turns back to normal and all trace of blue energy is now gone

Yes. No need to overthinking and dramatic now Valt. Today is your birthday so you better enjoy it!

"I'm home~," Valt says cheerfully  when he opens the door and a colorful confetti blows on his face and some leave on his hair

"Happy Birthday Valt!" His whole family chanted happily together. Yes, whole. Because his father who is a pilot and always busy at work is now home.

He can now feel a stroke of fondness across his heart just seeing his whole family together. And the effort to put in the beautiful decorations from the background and the special loaves of bread that he is sure was baked with love. Ah really those are the best

"Thank you very much guys" Valt smile very gratefully as his twin siblings playfully lunge themselves to their brother who yelps in surprise as they both fell on the wooden floor - with their parents laughing softly in the background and the Aoi siblings start to laugh too when they see they're weird position

Ah glad to be here again

Home sweet home

The day was all about enjoying and spending time with his family. He keeps receiving greeting messages from his friends on his phone and he gladly replies. Although he is a bit sad that he can't spend with them because they are busy but it's fine, he can understand because he should be grateful that his friends have time to greet him.

He sits up on his soft bed and pulls out a small long blue box with a shiny glitters design from his bag

A nostalgic smile creeps on his face as he stares at the unexpected gift he receives. From who? Aiga Akaba

He suddenly laughs at himself when he remembers what happened last night which he will never forget.

It was already nighttime in BC Sol when he heard a knock coming from somewhere that slowly woke him up from his deep slumber sleep

'Oh, what was that?! Is that a ghost? No, it's impossible that it's a ghost because they are not real' The blue boy panic and tries to convince himself but can't and now he feels scared

Knock knock

Ok. He is not imagining things. Then where did the sounds come from?

And curiosity took over his body as he slowly open his eyes and look around when he noticed that the sounds are coming from the window. Is there a person in the window?

He is not sure what came to his mind when his feet take a step and dragged him over the window as he opens the blue curtains then he sees something unexpected over the glass window

He rubs his eyes to see if he's hallucinating but he is not. His eyes are clearly can see

Aiga is grinning mischievously while hanging himself from the window sill of his room. And he has no idea why

He blinks multiple times and shakes his head when his rational mind took over him as he opens slowly the window sill to let Aiga in before something bad happens to him

The maroon boy leaps over creating a soft thump sound and dusts himself before sitting on his bed like he did not do something crazy

"So hmm Aiga? Is something matter?" The blue boy starts awkwardly in silence because things don't make any sense right now

"Nothing much now sit on your bed first so I can tell you properly" Aiga answered with a flat tone while crossing his arms

Deciding nothing will happen if he didn't follow this boy. He then sits over his bed then stretches himself and yawns a sign that he is still sleepy. Well, you can't blame him it's already midnight so why is Aiga still here?

From the corner of his eyes, he notice a long small box behind Aiga's left leg that took his attention

"What's that?" Valt pointed out the box that make Aiga blink and quickly hide from his back. He fakes a cough and straightens himself

"You can't open that box until the clock hits midnight," Aiga said while looking over his phone to see it was 11:59 pm

At that moment. Valt realizes that he's awake in the middle of the night. Is he still dreaming? Why Aiga is acting strange? But he already pinches his cheeks so that means he's fully awake besides people said you can't see a clock or time in your dream so he is awake

Then Aiga gasp and smile widely which caught Valt's attention.

The maroon boy grin and handed  him over the small blue box and the next thing Aiga chanted took him by surprise

"Happy Birthday Valt"

(What—?)

For a moment the world stop a little and he didn't react immediately when he started to absorb all the information, his eyes soften, and smile in awe

No one has ever done this to him! And it's touching!

"Awww Aiga thank you very much," Valt says full of fondness that makes Aiga chuckle

"Don't forget to open your gift~" He grins with a devious expression which he ignores

He open the box which took him by surprise at what was inside the small box.

(Ahh now he knows why he is grinning in mischief

It's a unique pocket knife

He blinks as he hesitantly grabs the pocket knife and observes it properly

"Is this real?" He asks looking over at Aiga who has this creepy smile on his lips. Ok, this guy wants to freak him out and he doesn't sure if he is doing this on purpose

"What if it's real? What will you do" the maroon boy asks innocently but his eyes are screaming in mischief that he is so familiar with it

Valt looks at him a long time then at the pocket knife and notices something which piques his interest

"This pocket knife... are you the one who makes this?" He asks slowly making Aiga taken aback then raises an eyebrow as If he is not believing in things "How did you know?" he asks in clear confusion

Valt smiles softly "I know you have good talents in metal engraving because your father is a blacksmith, recently I've noticed you've been keep coming from the workshop" He grins at the maroon boy's shocked expression

Aiga roll his eyes and look away but can't help but tug a smile "Yeah you got me hehe" he rub his head and laugh sheepishly

Valt smiled warmly and then looks over the blue DIY pocket knife that look like an oblong blue keychain at first but if you fold it back then a black blade will come out he touch the knife but it was not hurting him like it was still hiding something. He pulls out the carbon palate to reveal the real pointy sharp knife which looks like it can hurt people

"Wow, this one looks amazing. You are so talented and creative Aiga. Thank you very much! I've never received something like this before "  Valt says sincerely then hug the maroon boy tightly which gives him a total surprise like he is not used to physical contact with other people

"Ok— Ok argh let me go— can't breathe" Aiga barely say a word about how Valt tightly hugged him

Valt quickly lets him go as Aiga fixes his clothes and walks over to the window then climbs over the sill then he disappears leaving whoosh sounds like nothing happened...

The blue boy chuckles and looks over his unique gift again. Wow seriously it looks cool

And at that moment, he swore to cherish this special unique gift.

Call him crazy or insane but he is starting to like this gift because Aiga works hard on this and second it has a special word engraved on the pocket knife handle which makes his heart almost skip a beat.

Valt chuckle at the memory while looking over his unique blue keychain slash pocket knife gift

Today's birthday was so unforgettable and good. Why do you ask we'll because this is the first time he received a unique gift of a pocket knife.

And this is also the first time his best friend Shu didn't greet him on his birthday...
