The idea clicked. What if Subaru was the Avatar? He'd already know all the elements and just because I can and I believe he can, he could introduce a new type of bending called "Shadow Bending" or "Yin Bending" and since balance is a big part in the avatar, we can give this new type of bending a Yang variant I guess. Just imagine him going into the Avatar State the moment he fights Roswaal during Sanctuary🥶🥶

Either one works. Of course, he'd still have his tracksuit for casual wear. Now for his love interest, honestly don't know about that one. But hey, he could be trying to make sure that balance and peace is relevant in Lugunica so there's that.
