The Arcadia class jumpship flies to a tall tower overlooking the walls and transmats Subaru, Shane, and Rem into the commons area of the tower. 

Subaru can see many guardians and civilians going about their day some guardians even having dance offs for some reason (likely to assert dominance).

Rem: "Well allow me to personally welcome you two to the tower!"

Subaru: "This place is lively."

Shane-0: "No kidding.  And why are those two dancing at each other?"

Rem: "Not even I know guardians just seem to dance a lot.  Also be careful around the guard rails the casualty rate of guardians falling off is too high as is."

Subaru: "That's a joke right?"

Rem: "Come on the Speaker will want to see you then I need to take you to see sister."

Subaru: "That didn't answer my question."

Shane-0: "I'm pretty sure that means stay away from the guard rails and don't fall off the tower like a dumbass."

Rem: "Oh and Subaru-kun it might be best if you kept your helmet on for now."

Subaru: "Why?"

Rem: "It's just that Beatrice-sama is working as the Speaker's apprentice and she was effectively heavily by your death.  Let me calmly introduce you she may freak out if you just show up without warning."

Subaru: "Alright if you say so."

Subaru puts his helmet on and the group head to the north tower. There Subaru gets a good look at a map of the tower.

Rem brings Subaru and Shane to the Speaker's study where they see a small girl wearing a pink dress with blonde hair styled into drills.

???: "Two new lights I suppose?"

Rem: "That is correct Beatrice-sama."

Subaru stares at Beatrice he can't help but feel a sense of familiarity when he sees her. He also has the intense urge to pull on her drills.

Beatrice: "It's rude to stare in fact. Betty thinks that Titan is quite rude I suppose."

Shane-0: "Forgive him he's new just like me. You look too young to be this Speaker's apprentice."

Beatrice: "Betty is older than she looks I suppose. And you are just as dumb as you appear I suppose."

Shane-0: "Why you little-!"

???: "That's enough Beatrice."

Rem: "I am humbled once more to be in your presence again Speaker."

Rem bows in respect with Subaru and Shane following her lead.

Speaker: "There is no need for such formalities.  Please remove your helmets."

Shane-0: "Sure."

Shane removes his helmet.

Subaru: "Holy-!  You're a robot!?"

Shane-0: "You never seen an Exo before partner?  Anyway names Shane, Shane-0."

Beatrice: "0?  You mean that you have never been rebooted in fact?"

Shane-0: "Uh, yeah I guess so."

Speaker: "Now for you Titan."

Rem: "Speaker I don't believe that's a great idea."

Beatrice: "Why not in fact?  What could be so troubling about his face I suppose."

Rem: "It's just that I don't think it's a good idea right now."

Beatrice: "Titan you will remove your helmet or Betty will remove it for you I suppose!"

Subaru: "Alright!"

Subaru slowly and reluctantly removes his helmet revealing his face as Beatrice's expression changes from irritation to shock.

Beatrice: "It can't be.... How could you be here?!  Betty saw her contractor die!"

Subaru: "Contractor?"

Subaru's ghost makes his appearance.

Subaru's ghost: "That would be because of me."

Beatrice's eyes well up with tears one year ago she watched as her contractor died and now he's standing in front of her now a guardian.

Beatrice: "How dare you go dying on Betty like that!  As punishment I demand headpats!"

Subaru: "Headpats?"

Speaker: "Oh, so this Titan is your old friend?"

Beatrice composes herself.

Beatrice: "Yes in fact.  Betty asks permission to accompany her Subaru from now on."

Rem: "Your Subaru!?"

Rem starts pouting.

Speaker: "Permission granted."

Subaru: "Uh, Rem what's with that look?"

Rem collects herself.

Rem: "Sorry about that Subaru-kun that was very unladylike of me."

Speaker: "If you are done with reunions allow me to explain everything to you Subaru."

Subaru: "That is a lot of doom and gloom? How can just two guardians like us stand a chance if the darkness brought down humanity in it's golden age?"

Speaker: "I don't know. But among Guardians legends will rise up to push back the darkness. I guess the question is.... Will you become legend?"

Rem: "Rem knows Subaru-kun can. In his past life Subaru-kun helped end great calamities and saved many lives I am just one life he's saved."

The speaker warmly chuckles.

Speaker: "Well then I guess I can look forward to the legend of Subaru."

Rem leads Shane, Subaru, and Beatrice back to the tower watch.

Shane-0: "So what now?"

Rem: "Now I need to take you to see the vanguard."

The group spots a female warlock carrying a whole lot of documents and Subaru decides to walk over to her.

Subaru: "Let me give you a hand with that."

Warlock: "Oh it's okay I don't want to interrupt your business I gotta get these over to Ikora."

Subaru: "I'm actually going to see the vanguard too it's no problem."

Subaru lifts up some of the documents holding them easily with his Titan strength. The Warlock's ghost then materializes.

Warlock's ghost: "We appreciate the help. I'm Puck."

Puck nudges at his Guardian.

Puck: "Go on introduce yourself."

Warlock: "I'm Emilia. Just Emilia."

The names of the ghost and guardian immediately grab the attention of Rem and Beatrice.

Subaru: "Nice name well better get a move on. Shane you coming."

Shane-0: "Well I would like to get some spicy ramen but alright."

The trio with Beatrice and Rem in tow make their way to the vanguard with the Titan and Warlock vanguards engaged in a serious discussion while the hunter vanguard is napping.

Warlock vanguard: "Cayde what's your opinion about this? Cayde? CAYDE!!!"

The Hunter vanguard immediately wakes up.

Cayde-6: "I'm awake, I'm awake! So what were we talking about Ikora?"

Ikora: "Me and Zavala were discussing the increased Vex activity and wanted to know your opinion on the matter."

Cayde-6: "Oh, right. That's bad and we should probably put a stop to it."

Zavala: "You didn't pay any attention did you?"

Cayde-6: "Hey look new lights let's focus on that."

Subaru and company now stand before the leaders of all guardians the Vanguard.

Shane-0: "So is this gonna take long because I would kill for some spicy ramen right now."

Cayde-6: "You and me both shiny."

(And there's chapter 3 I hope you guys enjoy I'm gonna be trying my best to make arc 1 heart of the black garden more enjoyable than it was in actual D1 so I hope you guys are enjoying the story and I'll catch you all later.)
