Re-Sorting Chaos - Four

The dinning hall was crowded as the trio opened the doors. As the hinges creaked, Hermione peered in. Sections of the Gryffindor table was at unease. Ginny seemed to still be angry as she stabbed her fork into her eggs. Meanwhile, Neville and Dean just looked anxious.

Pulling at the other's sleeves, Ron entered the room. The aroma of breakfasts foods flooded to their nostrils. Harry's mouth watered as Ron grinned. Hermione rolled her eyes with a small smile as she spotted Ron making heart eyes at a plate of waffles. Harry quickly went to his seat, Hermione and Ron following him.

"Hey Potter, how're you and your boyfriend?" A third year taunted, a few people snickering. Harry looked up, catching the eyes of the student. His plate was empty, along with his cup.

"He's good. So's my girlfriend. How's your relationship going?" Harry answered before turning back to breakfast. Ron had filled his plate with a few waffles, a slice of bacon, two sausage links, strawberries, and had fresh pumpkin juice in his cup. The redhead blushed shyly, flicking a strawberry at Harry.

"Eat your food." He grumbled as the attention was placed on him from Harry's statement. Harry let out a small laugh and picked the strawberry from his cheek. Popping it in his mouth as he picked out a pancake, two slices of bacon, pineapple, blueberries, and ,what he suspected was, grape juice.

"You're dating Ron?!" Ginny screeched unintentionally. Ron groaned at his sister. Hermione glaring at the youngest Weasley as she took a sip from her cup.

"Yes. And so am I." Hermione dismisses as several students gaped openly. Harry shrugged off the stares of fellow students as he took a slice of pineapple into his mouth.

"Was that too straight forward?" Ron whispered to them. Harry nodded, "Probably." Hermione commented.

Harry glanced to the left, towards the teachers of Hogwarts. McGonagall seemed amused, meanwhile Albus Dumbledore had the same aura of excitement around him.

"Anyone else wonder how the hell Dumbledore is alive?" Harry asked to no one in mind. The dead headmaster joyfully laughing as Ron shook his head.

"Never really thought about it. Magic is endless after all." He remarked as he stuffed a bite of waffle in his mouth. He chewed loudly as Hermione wrinkled her nose. She looked his way, obviously disgusted.

"Ew Ron, chew with your mouth closed. As to you, Harry, there was a recent study of bringing the souls from magic paintings and reuniting it with a body that's been dead for less than 5 years. I've been reading all about Cagle's works!" Ron swallowed thickly. Harry hummed, nodding as he continued observing Dumbledore.

"What kind of magical family is Cagle?" Ron questioned. Hermione sighed half heartedly.

"She's a muggleborn. A real role model to not only muggle born students, but females everywhere." Hermione explained to her new boyfriend. Her hair was slowly falling out of her hair tie. A few thick sections falling down to frame her face. Ron tried to ignore how his mind instantly went to how beautiful she was as he sipped his drink.

"Can you explain more about Cagle's studies?" Harry asked. His eyes wide with curiosity as he gazed at Hermione. Hermione lit up, but noticed her surroundings.

"Dumbledore is getting up, most likely for his speech. I can tell you during lunch, okay?" Harry have her a mute nod. McGonagall had quickly shot a few sparks from her wand, silencing the students. All attention was placed on Dumbledore as he stood at a podium. A thick book laid on it, the spine made of a leather-like material. The only difference, Harry noticed, was that the leather was spiked and colored a repugnant periwinkle.

The old man cleared his throat. A smile tracing his lips as he spoke the words that changed the trio's life forever.

"Hello students, it's re-sorting time!"
