Part two

3 years later

"Lunch time!" I shout up to the three boys. Wilford's cousins, Mark and Dark, are here today for a playdate. Mark and Dark were twin brothers that were a few years older than Wilford. The two brothers looked alike but were complete polar opposites to eachother. Mark had hazel eyes and milk chocolate hair, tan skin and the personality of a beautiful unicorn. While Dark on the other hand had crimson eyes and onyx hair, pale grey skin and the personality of a beastly dragon. The best example of Ying and Yan, Mark being the light and Dark being the... well... dark. Mark was born first and Dark came and few minutes after. So Mark always acts like the responsible big brother and Dark acts like a reckless younger brother.
The three boys come running down at a speed and sit down by the table. I set in front of them each a plate of a PB&J sandwich with grapes and a glass of orange juice.
"Big brother, Dark says I don't have any siblings, tell him he's wrong," Wilford whines while Dark sits in his seat apathetically.
"Well... he is not completely wrong, although my role is the kind of an older brother as you say, I was constructed by your father as a sort of... nanny figure so to speak," I tell him. He pouts at me while Dark smirks evily. Mark nudges him in the side and makes him apologize. Dark rolls his eyes, "I'm sorry Wilfy, Google is your brother," he says sarcastically.
"Hurry now and eat your lunch so you can go play," I say holding my chuckle.
I go to the kitchen and start washing the dishes.
Wliford's parents are away again. His mother is traveling around Asia for a modeling tour and took his father with him as a plus one. I swear its amazing how Wilford can take not having his parents around so well. If I had parents I would've gone mad by now. Then again having parents like his isn't exactly the best thing in the world.
My thoughts are interrupted when I feel a softball hit my back. I turn around confused to see Dark sitting back down with a slight disappointment that it didn't hurt me. Mark slaps Dark on the back of the head, "you shouldn't do things like that knucklehead," he scolds his brother. Dark rubs the back of his head in pain and gives Mark a deathly look.
Aahh brothers.
I chuckle slightly and head back to the dining room.
"So how's your first year of highschool so far boys?" I ask which is answered by the outdrawn groans at even the mention of school.
"It sucks,"
"It sucks," they spit out at the same time. I smile at them before picking up the empty plates and glasses.
"Don't worry boys... it doesn't get better," I tease before walking back to the kitchen.
"Not like you would know," Dark snickers under his breath which earns him another jab in the side.
My smile fades as I pretend I didn't hear him.
"Go up and play for a while," I say cheerfully before putting the dishes in the sink. It is true. I've never went to school before. I was made into and adult and was programmed with the knowledge of one too. I never had the privilege of going to a school, or having friends, or learning. I just knew everything and that was that. The only friend I've ever had is Wilford and that's about it.... Oh well, can't miss what you never had I suppose.
After about another half an hour Mark and Dark's mother come to pick them up.
"Thank you very much for letting your sons come over Mrs Fischbach."
"Thank you for having them, I hope they didn't cause too much of a ruckus," she giggles looking at her two boys.
I smile, "not at all, but I should be getting back to cleaning the house. Thank you again for letting them come," we says goodbye before I close the door and let out a sigh. In all honestly the three of them made a huge mess of the house, but I didn't want them to get into trouble so I kept it to myself. I headed to the living room and started picking up all the blankets and pillows they used to make their own pirate ship. Then to the kitchen where I cleaned up their failed atempt of making cookies. Then finally to Wilford's room to clean up all the toys on the ground.
It was about 9pm when I finished all my duties exept for one which was tucking Wilford in for bed. I walk up to his room with a glass of warm milk and two chocolate chip cookies that I made. I open the door to see him already in bed with a story book laying on the bed. I smile and set the milk and cookies on his bedside table.
"Bedtime story tonight?" I ask him and he nods excitedly. I chuckle and sit down on the bed and taking the book. No matter how old he is I don't think he'll ever grow out of bedtime stories. I chuckle and sit down on the bed, taking the book and reading the cover. This was one of his favorite stories. I wait for Wilford to get comfortable, taking his milk and dipping a cookie in it.
"Captain pinkstache saves the day," I read out, getting into character.
"Captain Pinkstache was the captain of a ship called 'the Davey Johns' and was the leader of a band of pirates, 'the stache muscles', the best known group in all the seven seas. One day while Captain Pinkstache was sailing the sea, his ship was ambushed by another group called 'the bluebloods'. They tried to overrun the ship so that they would be the best pirates... but Pinkstache had another plan. While the pirates were battling on the deck, he snuck onto the enemies ship and filled it with gunpowder. When he got to the gallows, he found a noble woman that was caged and tied. Captain Pinkstache had to think fast before it was too late. He decided to free the woman and save her. When he got back to the top deck..." I paused for dramatic affect, having Wilford on the edge of his seat even though he knew what was gonna happen.
"He was surrounded by the bluebloods. But this did not scare the captain for he was of course, the best pirate."
"This is the best part," Wilford  mumbles, finishing his last cookie.
"In a flash Pinkstache put the lady down and had most of the enemies on the ground. A few seconds more and he took the lady and lit and match, throwing it into the gunpowder. He jumped back onto his ship and sailed away. The blueblood ship was no more. His whole ship celebrated and cheered to their Captain for saving the day once again. The noble lady kissed him on the cheek," my hero," she said.
The end." I close the book and Wilford claps.
"Yaaayyy. I'm gonna be just like Captain Pinkstache one day! Fighting foes and saving damsels in distress. I'll save mommy and daddy, and you can be my damsel in distress!" he says excitedly. I blush lightly at the last part before laying Wilford down and tucking him in.
"My hero. Now, get some rest," I kiss him on the head and walk to the door.
"I love you big brother," he says sleepyly. I stop for a moment by the threshold and look at him.
I smile softly, "goodnight," I say before closing the door. I walk downstairs and look to the TV that was on the news. There was a report of a plane crash in China... how unfortunate.
My focus turns away for the TV as the house phone rings.
"Warfstache residence how may I help you?"
"This is the national hospital of China... there's been an accident..."
