Ronit rose gracefully from his luxurious bed, the morning rays dancing on his chiseled body. He tied a black silk robe around his frame as if he were a monarch dressing for the day. As he turned, the soft fabric caressed his skin like a gentle whisper.
"Uth gaya tu? Good morning!" Ruhi's melodious voice floated into the room as she entered with a tray of breakfast treats. Ronit's brows knit together slightly at the sight of his mother carrying the tray. Although he appreciated her efforts, a sense of unease crept into his thoughts
"HOUSEKEEPING!" His voice sliced through the air like a sharp knife, the sound reverberating through the halls of the grand mansion. Within moments, all the house helpers convened in the hall, their eyes filled with curiosity and apprehension.
"Ronit, why are you shouting?" Ruhi's gentle voice cut through the tension as she approached her son, concern etched on her features.
"Mom, come on! Why is your son earning?" Ronit's words tumbled forth like a torrent, his eyes flashing with determination. "Isn't it to provide a better and luxurious life for his parents? I have assigned specific tasks to the house helpers to ensure the efficiency of our household. Why were you carrying the breakfast tray? You should be with Dad, spending quality time together."
Ruhi's eyes widened in realization as Ronit's words resonated within her. There was a fierce pride in her son's demeanor, a dedication to his family's well-being that shone brightly in his eyes. She smiled softly, her heart swelling with love and admiration for the man he had become.
''Mera beta itni chinta karta hai? Love you'' Ruhi kissed his forehead and Ronit smiled.
''Ab aap jaakar araam karo, I will meet you in some time''
''Kya hua Ruhi beta?'' Vidya asked Ruhi coming towards her with the veneration plate.
''Kuch nahi maa, bas Ronit ki extra fikar mere liye'' Ruhi replied with pride in her eyes, glancing at Ronit.
''Hogi na fikar, aakhir tum uski supercool mom jo ho! Yeh aarti lelo'' Vidya offered her the aarti and blessed her.
''Good Morning Dida!'' Ronit touched Vidya's feet and took aarti.
''Mera pota hamesha aise hi tarakki kare, aur khoob aage badhe'' Vidya blessed her grandson.
''Sab aapki blessings ki wajah se Dida.'' Ronit said and hugged his grandmother.
''Arrey accha yaad dilaya aapne!'' Ronit exclaimed and went downstairs.
''Issey kya hua achanak?'' Ruhi and Vidya looked at each other amused and followed Ronit.
''Everyone! Hall mein ekathey hojayein. Mujhe ek announcement karni hai'' Ronit announced and the Poddar family gathered in the hall one by one.
''Kya hua Ronit?'' Aryan asked.
''Chacha-sa kal humare firm ne ek acche client ko gain kiya hai. Mr. Johnson- Australia wale, unka case jeetna sabse profitable mana gaya hai- What do you all think? Should we throw party today?''
''OFCOURSE!'' The Poddar family erupted in cheers, excitement and applause as Ronit announced the success of their firm in winning a prestigious client, Mr. Johnson from Australia. Excitement and joy filled the air as the family members congratulated Ronit on this remarkable achievement.
Ruhi's eyes gleamed with pride as she looked at her son, beaming with happiness. Her heart swelled with admiration for Ronit's hard work and dedication towards the family business. Vidya's face glowed with happiness, seeing her grandson scale new heights of success with each passing day.
''Main arrangements karwa deti hoon'' Manisha chimed in excitedly and Ronit nodded.
''Chhoti dida, Aryan chachasa ko bhi apne team mein shaamil karlo, unhe inn sab cheezon ki khaas parakh hai'' Ronit said and Manisha nodded with a soft smile on her face.
''Sab logon keliye dress theme main select karunga, you know premium picks! So that's on me. Baaki ka aap log dekh lo'' Ronit said.
''Kis baat ki party?'' It was Kaveri Poddar.
Ronit turned and saw his great grandmother walking slowly with a stick in her hand.
''Humesha ki tarah slow'' He muttered and rolled his eyes.
''Woh Australia wale client hain na mummy sa, unka case Ronit jeet gaya kal'' Manisha said.
''Woh jo ek aur branch kholna chahtey hain?'' Kaveri asked and Ronit nodded.
''Haan, wahi par-dadisa'' Ronit replied sighing.
''Wahaan jo log rehtein hain unka kya hua?'' Kaveri's question made Ronit roll his eyes. He rubbed his temple with his thumb and clenched his jaw.
''Aapka par pota case jeet kar aaya hai, wahi badi baat honi chahiye Par-Dadisa. Aur aap humesha late kyun hoti hain? Announcement ke time late, party mein late, saare kaam mein late, sabko unka asli haq dilane mein late! ALWAYS LATE. Jin logon ko meri asli qadar hai, jo mujhpar garv karte hain woh party mein invited hain, baaki jo bhi hain woh aayein ya na aayein mujhe koi farq nahi padega'' Ronit said gravely, glaring at Kaveri, Madhav and Krish.
Kaveri's face softened as she looked at her great-grandson with amusement. Madhav, sitting in the corner, watched the exchange his eyebrows scrunched.
The tension in the room was palpable as Ronit's outburst reverberated off the walls. Kaveri took a deep breath, her wrinkled hands trembling slightly on top of her walking stick. She had seen many storms in her long life, and she knew how to weather them with grace.
"Ronit, beta," Kaveri began in a voice that was surprisingly gentle, "I may be old and slow, but my heart beats just as fast as yours. I may be late to parties and announcements, but I am never late in recognizing the true worth of those I hold dear."
Ronit's expression relaxed slightly, his anger giving way to curiosity. He watched as Kaveri slowly made her way towards him, each step deliberate and purposeful.
''And I have recognized your worth also. I have seen your true face. You are blinded by the luxury and the fame you have gained. You look quite impressive and ambitious but this arrogance will let you down. I suggest you-to lower your tone a bit as I am still alive. And please, you are not the authority here even you have my entire family by your side.'' Kaveri said adjusting her oval spectacles, her voice soft yet strong and determined.
Ronit clenched his jaws again and went upstairs, stomping his feet in anger.
Ruhi followed her son and others dispersed leaving Krish, Kaveri and Madhav in the hall.

Abhimaan was preparing for the college exams. He was getting nervous. He rushed out of his room and nearly bumped into Geeta, the house help, who was carrying a tray with breakfast items.
"Arey Geeta aunty? Aap kyun breakfast lekar aayi?" Abhimaan asked in surprise.
"Chote saab, aap padhai kariye, main hoon na sab kaam kardungi!" Geeta replied with a smile, holding out the tray to him.
Abhimaan hesitated, "Mere pair haath salamat hain, aur thodi exercise bhi hojayegi jab apna breakfast lene jaaunga, ap kyun le aayi, aap toh bohot saare kaam karti ho! Thank you mere bare mein sochne keliye, mere liye itna kaafi hai."
"Aap college keliye late hojayoge, jaldi se yeh naashta karlo, madam aur sir dono college keliye already chale gaye hain! You have to buckle up!" Geeta insisted, her eyes twinkling with determination.
Abhimaan couldn't help but admire Geeta's dedication. "Wah! Kya baat hai! English seekh liya aapne. Bohot accha kiya aunty. Aap bhi seekhlo aur apne Chintu ko bhi sikha do! Marathi ke saath saath English bhi ekdum fire!" he exclaimed, grabbing a sandwich from the tray and taking a hurried bite.
Geeta beamed with pride at Abhimaan's words. She had indeed learned English after Abhimaan had suggested her.
''Aashirwaad dijiye!'' Abhimaan bent and touched Geeta's feet.
''Chhote saab aap paap karwayenge kya? Aap mere pair kyun choo rahe hain?''
''Geeta aunty, aap badi ho mujhse aur bado se aashirwad liye jaatein. Main tab tak aise hi aapke pair ko pakde rakhoonga jab tak aap mujhe aashirwaad nahi deti!''
''Khoob taraki karo, khoob aage badho aur sir aur madam ka naam roshan karo chhote saab''
''Thank you so much. Gas check karlete hain aur phir meri chali meri sawaari! Waise aap kal meri birthday par aarahi hain na Chintu aur Manu kaka ko lekar?''
''Main kaise aa sakti hoon? Aap log karo party! Main sab kuch taiyar kardungi aai shapath''
''Taiyarri aap karengi aur chali jayengi? Aapko aana padega! Bachpan se leke aaj tak aap mana karti aayi hain aur main aapko manata aaya hoon, aaj bhi maanlo Geeta aunty!'' Abimaan made a puppy face and Geeta nodded.
''Chalo phir!''Abhimaan went outside followed by Geeta after checking the house and locked it.
''ALL THE BEST!'' Geeta showed a thumbs up and Abhimaan chuckled.
