Some of you have been confused a bit, Ally knows Tatiana is actually Thalia, she thinks Thalia faked her death. She's been compelled to not be able to bring up the truth about Thalia but she didn't forget that it's truely Thalia.

Chapter 13

A week has passed since Nathaniel woke up and Thalia hasn't seen him since. She still didn't know what to do to get him back, which is why she kept avoiding the places where he might be, or so she thought. It was Sunday and Hayley persuaded her that a sunny day like that shouldn't go to waste. They prepared a picnic basket and drove to the woods.

Thalia was against spending the day in the woods since Nathaniel could be there, but Hayley had another place in mind. She made her walk for about twenty minutes till they reached a large meadow with blossomed flowers of all kinds. There was a small pond that looked like it was manmade; next to it was an old wooden bench facing huge stones that reminded Thalia of the Stonehenge.

Thalia was amazed by the beauty of this place, it felt heavenly to her and she never imaged a place like that would exist in a town like this. She smiled brightly and looked at Hayley.

"Thank you..." she whispered before running around enjoying the sun kissing her skin and her dress flying from the wind.

Hayley said nothing she just smiled and set up the blanket with the food before laying down and enjoying the sun herself. She waited Thalia to come back before unwrapping the plates so they could eat.

Eating in silence, Hayley kept praying her friend wouldn't ask her about Nate because she couldn't tell her the truth. She felt guilty for hiding the fact that Nate was with Karly now and they were both cutting school and doing vampire things together. Yeah he turned her...

"What are you thinking about?"

Hayley was snapped out of her own reverie by the sound of Thalia's voice. She faked a smile and shrugged "nothing...just school stuff"

Thalia laughed, "really Hayley? You're a bad liar honey. Now tell me what's on your mind"

"Nothing you need to worry about really"

"Don't make me compel it out of you Hails"

Hayley laughed "you can try my friend, you can try" she got up and walked to the stones "Do you know what this place is?"

Thalia shook her head and followed her friend with curiosity clear on her face.

"This place is sacred; it has existed for two hundred years now"

"I'm sure I came to this part of the woods but I can't believe I missed this!"

"You haven't missed it Thalia, you saw it many times, but as a dark part of the woods with no animals to hunt and no greenery at all."

"How is that even possible?"

"It's a worship and sacrifice place for witches, any other species that stumble upon it can't see it for its true color unless a witch want them to see it. I chose to trust you and let you in, but no one must know about this, not even Nathaniel"

"I won't tell a soul, I promise"

"Remember one time you asked me where I go to when I disappear? Well here it is, I'm now responsible for this place, I take care of it, guard it with my life and do most my rituals and research here."

Thalia looked at her friend with a warm smile "I never thought we would be so close". They smiled and sat down next to the pond. "Now tell me what you are hiding?"

"I'm not hiding anything Thalia"

"I can see how nervous you are and you are avoiding the 'Nate' subject and look at your forehead, whenever you lie to me or hide something from me you have that vein over here that pops out. So stop lying and tell me! I can handle the truth."

"I know you can I just don't want to hurt you!" when Hayley saw that Thalia was being stubborn and wouldn't let it go she sighed and stood up "Fine! I'll tell you but first you have to promise me you won't do anything careless and stupid!"

"When do I do something careless?" she asked sarcastically causing Hayley to giggle.

"The night Nate woke up, he went to the bar and met a girl. He drank from her, slept with her and now she's his little pet. But the thing is...he turned her, I mean not him but he had someone do it for some reason. Now they both are living the high ruthless vampire life, if you know what I mean."

"He's back on the dark road again..."

"Yes..and the worst thing is..um the girl he got turned...it's.."

"Who? Do we know her?"

"um yeah...it's Karly"

"What the Hell! Tell me you're just kidding! Please tell me it's not true?"

"I'm sorry...but look at the bright side!"

"There is no bright side! Wake up Hails! Now she knows I'm actually Thalia!"

"She doesn't! how would she?"

"Nate might have told her everything! Now the chances to know who did this to me are very low!"

Hayley raised an eyebrow and folded her arms "And how exactly would Nate tell her about the girl he doesn't know? The girl he chose to forget?"

"Oh..."

"yeah oh..."

Both girls stayed there the whole day before going back to town. They still hadn't figured out what to do about Nathaniel and Thalia had sort of given up but Hayley was always thinking about this.

As soon as Thalia parked the car in Hayley's driveway, her friend looked at her with a devious hint in her eyes "I know what I can do to try and fix your boyfriend"

"Really? What?"

"You'll see...meet me in the meadow at midnight".

Thalia drove back to town and went to the bar to get a drink. She saw James sitting with a petite brunette talking and smiling. She heard his words and snorted at the cheesy way he was trying to seduce her. After ordering her drink she rested her elbow on the bar looking at the crowd, scanning it for familiar faces when her eyes met the one and only blonde she didn't feel like seeing right now. If only she wouldn't draw attention, she would have ripped her head off easily. Wow! I've become so violent! She thought sarcastically to herself while grinning like a Cheshire cat. She couldn't help but think of something to frustrate Karly. She looked at her and saw her glaring at James and she just knew what she had to do.

She gulped down her drink, paid for it and made her way lazily but sexily to James. Once she reached him and could feel Karly's eyes burning holes in her back, Thalia sat on his lap, wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him soft and slowly. When she heard Karly growl she smiled against his lips and got on her feet.

"See you around playboy" she said before turning around and walk to the door. Her eyes met Karley's and Thalia just smiled cockily and winked at her former friend.

She knew she had made a scene of herself, and she also knew that James would think she forgave him when she absolutely haven't. Right now nothing mattered to her though. All she wanted was to find a solution to get back her lover, if that was possible. If not, I'll impose myself on him. She thought as she walked in Ally's driveway and rang the bell.

"Thalia? "

"Hi to you too neighbor"

Ally forced a smile "What do you want?"

"A little chitchat about my former life"

"I have nothing to say and I already told everything to the police."

"Really? Than you can tell me as well" she gave her a persuasive smile that reflected power and control before pushing past her. She made her way to the living room and sat down still waiting Ally to register what just happened.

"why can't I tell anyone about you? Every time I try its like my tongue is knotted."

"I ask the questions, you answer."

"Fine"

"Wow that was easy. Okay let's see...as everyone used to say they all loved me. So even the police don't have a suspect yet. I want you to help me find out who could have wanted to hurt me so badly. You know everyone here and we both know I didn't bully anyone. It must have been an act of jealousy because James didn't do it."

"Wow Thalia...hum aren't you better than sherlock holmes?"

"Cut the crap Ally!"

"You know many persons told me to stay away from you that you are dangerous. For some reason I can't believe it. You can act all strong and dangerous but you don't fool me. Behind this strong girl there is a broken one."

"So wise Ally...so wise." She sighed "Now back to the subject I want a list of people who might have done this to me. I'll be here tonight to collect it and it better be ready!" she was about to head for the door when ally spoke up.

"You won't collect a thing because I won't do it. I don't work for you. God your were so much nicer before faking your death."

"Thalia was nicer yeah...look where it got me! I faked my own death for god's sake! Tatiana won't be weak as Thalia was"

Ally crossed her arms over her chest trying not to be intimidated by the new Thalia and kept quiet.

"I didn't want to do it like that Ally. I'm sorry"

"Sorry for what?"

"You are going to write me a list of all the people who might have hurt me, even if it includes you; I want you to be honest. Everyone Ally". She compelled her before getting out of the house.

"This is too much for one day!" she groaned as she walked toward her house when she saw the least expected car parked in the driveway. If her heart still beat, it would have stopped now. She felt her legs become wobbly but she was lucky she had reached the porch and could lean on the columns for a moment. She took a deep breath before entering the house not knowing what she should expect to find.

Her mother, Eva, was sitting cross-legged on the wooden armchair talking to the one and only Nathaniel. She couldn't believe her luck! As if all she needed now was to see him and hear him remind her how much he hates her. She took a few steps in casually and sat on the couch facing him. He kept talking to her mom as if she wasn't even here. Thalia could see the confused look on her mother's face, so she got up before her mom got more suspicious.

As she reached the stairs, she could still hear them so she paused and listened.

"So Eva...Karly told me you suspected her when your daughter died. May I know why?"

"Nathaniel you know very well how sore of a subject it is."

"I do, and I'm terribly sorry I have to bring it up but I need to know why you suspected my girlfriend."

"Girlfriend?"

It killed Thalia just to hear it from him, she tightened her grip on the railing to the point her hand started bleeding.

"Yes..we are together now. And I'd like it if you stop harassing her. She had nothing to do with it."

"Harassing her? What are you talking about? I haven't seen her since the funeral! I haven't even talked to her mom since then! Even though I know they are behind it. And how can you dump Tatiana for Karly?"

Thalia ran to the living room "Mom, its fine." She looked at Nathaniel "Leave...now!"

He smirked "And if I don't?"

"I'll call the cops" she said in a sweet way while smiling innocently.

He nodded and headed toward the door but she followed him.

"Say hello to Karly...oh and Cynthia sends her regards"

"You know Cynthia? Where is she? I need to speak with her."

"I'm afraid that's impossible, see she's back with Liam and she won't speak to someone who lost his soul again" she pushed him out and closed the door shut.

Thalia reached the meadow five minutes late, she looked at the lighted candle scattered in a perfect circle. In the center of the circle was Hayley. She was sitting on the mud while murmuring something Thalia couldn't understand. A few minutes later Hayley came to Thalia with white eyes, she took out a knife and without saying a word cut Thalia's wrist.

Thalia watched her blood drip in a cup and looked at her friend confused "What is this ritual?"

But Hayley didn't answer and went back to the circle. She spilled the blood on the dirty ground forming a triangle, her voice became loud and louder until there was thunders and Hayley collapsed on the ground. Next to her was a black entity Thalia couldn't make out.
