Thalia looked at the girl in front of her for a few moments and nodded "let me get my friend. Come in please" Thalia smiled slightly and ran upstairs to wake Hailey.

She was nervous and afraid but most of all she didn't know how to feel towards Cynthia. The girl seemed nice and innocent but she still had a feeling that Cynthia was more than just a friend to Nate. Just the thought of it killed her, even though there was nothing between her and Nate, she felt possessive of him and didn't want to share him with anyone. Wake up Thalia! It's not as if the guy likes you or something! Yeah he kissed you twice so?

Thalia rolled her eyes at her conscience and sat on the bed next to Hailey. She looked at the sleeping witch not sure how to react, she didn't know if she should take her with her or if she should go at all. Thalia knew Nate could take care of himself and wouldn't want her there but she couldn't let him down again. After a few seconds she finally made up her mind.

"Hailey? Hailey wake up!"

"mmm no, just five more minutes mom"

Thalia giggled "Hailey you're late for school you have your exam today!" Thalia said in a hurried nervous voice causing Hailey to jump off the bed and tripping along the sheets as she ended up on her butt on the floor. Thalia burst in laughter and rolled on the bed.

"You'll pay for it Thalia! I guarantee you this!!" She groaned and looked at her "What's the rush? Why wake me up when I'm so tired?"

"Liam has Nate, Cynthia is here waiting for me so we can get him out. Do you want to join?" she asked casually as if they were going to the movies or something.

Hayley brushed her hair a few times with her fingers before jumping on her feet. "If you let me finish off Liam then I'm in!" she said enthusiastically.

Cynthia burst in the room "First of all we don't have much time! And second don't you dare hurt Liam! All we have to do is get Nate out of the Cellar he's in!" she snapped at both girls an angry look in her eyes.

Thalia raised an eyebrow as a smile formed on her lips "If you love him so much, why didn't you go back to him when Nate saved you?"

"Wait a minute who is she exactly?" Hayley asked Thalia a frown appearing on her face.

"Oh yeah...um this is Cynthia" She waved a hand as if it wasn't something important.

Cynthia sighed, she was getting sick of Thalia's behavior "Thalia! Nate is in danger! Come with me now or let me go!"

The jealous vampire girl looked at Cynthia and shrugged "Go".

Hayley looked at Thalia raising both hands in a questioning manner "What the hell Thalia? Your ma..." She was cut off by Cynthia.

"Fine! I'll go alone!" She glared at Hayley before running out the door.

Hayley was biting her lip and looking out the window. She saw Ally and Karly snooping around it made her smile, those two never give up. She sighed and looked at Thalia who was curled in a ball in her bed crying softly. Her mind wandered back to what happened earlier with Cynthia, she couldn't believe Thalia didn't know Nate is her mate. Why would he hide something so important and keep it from her? She might go crazy on him when she finds out he kept the truth from her.

She went to sit next to her and pulled her to her so she was resting her head on her lap and crying silently. Hayley felt bad for her and wished she could do something to help her. She never thought that one day she would be this close to Thalia and she knew this was just the beginning of a new friendship.

"Thalia? Why did you stay behind instead of going with her?"

Thalia looked up at Hayley and smiled weakly at her, she should have gone but she was so jealous and so nervous that she thought she was doing the right thing by staying here. She sighed and sat up wiping her tears; she looked at her new friend and bit her lip.

"I just thought that he doesn't need me. I mean, Cynthia is there, why should I go?"

"You have feelings for him don't you?"

Thalia nodded reluctantly and stood up "yeah but he likes or loves Cynthia, so I better stay away"

"Thalia are you hearing yourself? You were never one to give up! I always heard how much you fought for what you want! And you want him, you shouldn't let him go like that. No matter what the reason is. Fight for what you want, isn't that your slogan or something?"

Thalia giggled and wrapped her arms around the girl "So wise! Come on let's save his butt and show Cynthia who Nate belongs to"

Hayley jumped up happily "Let's just hope we're not too late!"

They went to the woods and walked silently and rather quickly as Thalia picked up Cynthia's trail so they could find their way. They were both excited but also scared as they got farthest in the woods and closest to the dark mansion. Thalia looked at Hayley's face and saw that the witch was hiding how worried and anxious she was. She took her hand in hers and they reached the fence. Thalia knew she could do it she just needed a plan, a distraction. She smiled as she thought of something and looked at Hayley.

"I'm going to get in and try to find him, when you hear me in your head you come in yourself and work your magic to get us all out of there. I don't care if you leave Cynthia."

Hayley nodded and watched Thalia climbing the fence and jumping on the other side of the property. She cast her a last look before running inside as Hayley went to hide behind a tree hoping Thalia wouldn't face much trouble. She had to help her somehow but didn't know what to do so she followed Thalia's plan and sat there watching out.

Hayley was drifting to sleep when she heard a branch crack and her head snapped up to meet red eyes gleaming in the dark night. She took a step back and watched an angry James coming her way growling loudly at her. She looked at him for a moment and flipped her hand making him trip but he walked towards her again seeming angrier. She kept making him fall every time he took a step closer and she finally made him hit a tree hard, but he was still awake. She cursed under her breath and damned the vampire race. She closed her eyes tightly shut and whispered a Latin incantation causing him to cry out in pain like an animal being tortured. When she opened her eyes, Hayley glared at him and with a wave of her hand, James started crawling toward the gates but she kicked him in the guts and than in the head. She could finish him off but she wasn't able to do it. James was her friends when they were little and she hated hurting him so much right now but she had to.

When she made sure he was unconscious, Hayley jumped off the gate and head in the mansion looking for Thalia and Nate. She was still hurting from the effort she made and her eyes were burning but she didn't care. She just wiped away the bloody tears that were sliding down her cheek and kept on walking toward the sounds echoing through the dark halls. She reached a sealed door and pushed it open slowly to witness a horrible scene before her eyes. She kept to the darkness and watched from behind the door how vulnerable Nate was and how scared Cynthia looked. Thalia was nowhere to be seen and it spooked Hayley a bit.

Nathaniel had both of his wrists chained and pulled apart hanged to the ceiling, there was a wooden weapon attached to a string that came from the chains. Hayley gasped as she realized that if Nate made one move the stick would be planted in his heart killing him. She looked at Cynthia whom had cuts everywhere on her face and kneeling at Liam's feet she was begging him to let Nate go and he could have her back. Hayley noticed that the more she begged the more Liam got angry and trashed everything. He hit Nate's chest so hard the latter cried out in pain.

Thalia was watching from the high ceiling as she studied the environment, thinking of a way to get Nate free without driving the stake through his heart. She finally made up her mind and jumped down grasping the string that held the stake and cut it before breaking Nate's chains and hitting Liam in the face. It was all so fast that Liam didn't even have time to think and move away from her striking feet. She watched Nate lean down and hit him hard. Thalia held her ground just watching both vampires fight until her eye caught a movement and when she looked up she saw Cynthia running toward them and pushing Nate away from Liam.

"Are you crazy! He's a council member! You could die if you kill him! They'll be after you!"

Nate growled and punched him again not listening to Cynthia. Thalia sighed and walked toward him, she grabbed his hand and got closer to him.

"Nate, please, let's go home" she whispered softly and he looked at her for a moment before his eyes returned to their normal color.

Cynthia frowned looking at Liam "just go I'll stay with him and help him" She knew It wouldn't please Nate but Liam was her mate and he needed her.

Thalia took Nate's hand and dragged him out of there before he could try to convince him to come. She saw Hayley leaning on the wall watching everything and she smiled at her as the witch helped her getting Nate out of the Mansion. When Thalia saw James lying on the ground lifeless her heart started beating faster, she looked at Hayley with a questioning look in her cat like green eyes.

"He's not dead...I couldn't kill him. I just knocked him out so I can come in and help you."

Thalia nodded and they all went to Nate's mansion. Once they got there, Thalia excused herself and ran home to make sure her mother was okay, she asked Hayley to tend Nate's injuries while she's out.

Hayley looked at Nate as she cleaned his deepest cuts. She wasn't looking, she was staring, curiosity visible in her eyes.

"What? Just spill it" Nate snarled at her.

"Nothing Nathaniel, it's just that I think you should get your powers back. No originals can get to you if you have them."

"Who told you about my powers?" he frowned as he pulled away to hold her gaze.

"Meredith, the witch who gave you those powers is my ancestor. Trina had all rights to take them back, but I'm sure that if any of them were here today they would give them back to you. You deserve them. Your heart is pure again." She smiled and went to clean another cut as Nathaniel kept silent for a moment.

Nathaniel thought about Meredith, the day he helped her escape and saved her life was a day he could never forget. He was a new born vampire and was mostly rascal and acted without thinking. However when he saw that beautiful young lady in need of help he forgot his hunger and every kind of hatred he had in his heart and made his way to her. He saved her and it was the first good thing he did in his vampire lifetime. After being rewarded, he changed and became a better man until he met Sara, and took the same path as her engaging in darkness. Hayley's voice snapped him out of his reverie and brought him back to the present.

"Why haven't you told her yet?" Hayley was curious and she wanted to know why Nate was hiding this.

"Told who what?"

"Don't act stupid! You know what I'm talking about. Thalia, she's your mate."

"Oh that" he sighed and leaned back in the couch relaxing his body as she sat on the other couch watching him and waiting him to speak. He couldn't confine in her, he barely knew the girl and she was a witch! Not just any witch! Nate looked at her and shrugged.

"Nathaniel, it's none of my business but you should tell her. Hiding this won't do you both any good. Trust me about that, I know. I've been there. If you're hiding this, there must be a reason."

"No Hayley, there isn't."

"Stop lying!"

"I'm not lying, and I don't have to justify myself to anyone."

"Nathaniel, what are you hiding from her?" she spoke softly.

"I'm not hiding anything Hayley! I'm just waiting for the right moment! I don't want her to freak out on me and leave me alright? We're not even a couple yet and I can't get myself to tell her how I feel or who she is to me!" he said getting angry and started to pace the room.

"If you wait too long for the perfect moment, the perfect moment will pass you by. I think you should tell her before you really loose her. She thinks there is something going on between you and Cynthia, and she even told me that when she signals me to get in I should get in and get you out even if it means leave Cynthia behind. I don't like that side of her, she has darkness within her, I don't want her to take that road. We both know what it would lead too."

Nathaniel nodded and ran his hand through his hair than looked up "She's here, let's hope she didn't hear a thing"

Thalia pushed the door open and folded her arms to her chest. "What are you hiding? I didn't hear a thing but...now I really want to know what you were talking about?"

Hayley smiled and got on her feet. She gathered her stuff and looked at Nate, she smiled encouragingly and walked toward Thalia. "I should go home before my mom wakes up and doesn't find me in bed. Be careful and call me if you need me." She gave Thalia a quick hug and left.

Thalia went to the kitchen grabbed a bag of blood and sat next to Nate drinking it slowly. She looked up at him when she finished and cocked an eyebrow "I'm still waiting..."

"Thalia I'm not hiding anything. I just want you with me all the time" He pulled her in a hug but she pushed him away and stood up.

"I won't let you hide anything or lie to me. Just tell me what is it you didn't want me to hear! Now!" she ordered him glaring with furious red eyes.

Nathaniel hated seeing her in that state and after a few minutes of complete silence, he decided to speak up. Hayley was right he needed to tell her the truth before she finds out from someone else and leave him. He won't be able to bear being apart from her again.

"Thalia...I'm sorry I didn't tell you before today. I just felt it right to hide it. I lied to you."

Thalia froze for a moment and fought with her brain to find the right words "About what?" she asked sitting down afraid of what he might tell her.

"I didn't turn you by mistake. I turned you because...you are my mate, the reincarnation of my mate. I knew it the moment I laid eyes on you and I couldn't lose you once again. Liam killed you once; I couldn't let you go when I found your soul in a human body."

Thalia looked at him as if he had grown another head before she jumped on her feet and slammed him on the wall. This wasn't possible! She didn't believe in reincarnation, she couldn't be some reincarnation!

"It means...you didn't like me? You liked your mate? Not me?"

"Thalia bay you're being incoherent! You are my mate! I don't like you of course not!"

Thalia frowned deeply hurt by his words, she looked at him for a moment before she pushed him to the floor and headed to the doors.

"Thalia...I love you! I love everything about you."

Thalia stopped walking but didn't look at him, instead her hand went to the doorknob as she was getting ready to open it but was hesitating. What if he's saying the truth? What if he truly loves me?

"Thalia, believe me! You are nothing like Sara, you are different in so many ways...I don't even want you to be like her. But you are my mate, we can't change that, no matter how mad you are or how hard you try to stay away you can't. Cynthia is the best example I can give you. After all those years, she couldn't see him in pain and stayed behind with him. It's our destiny to be together, no matter what you decide to do, our fate will always cross."

Thalia turned and looked at him for a while then smiled slightly "you love Sara, not me. I'm sorry I ever thought something would happen between us; obviously I was just blinded by your striking good looks that I didn't see through your lies. I'm not some stupid reincarnation of your mate! Liam was right, you're only using me, and you'll never help me get what I want and find who did this to me." She shook her head a few times and blocked out his voice as he tried to talk to her. "I'm done here! I'm very disappointed by you." She opened the door and left before he could have the chance to add anything else.

Thalia was hurt and confused by many things and many lies that her judgment was clouded and she couldn't think right now blinded her hatred. She needed some time to figure things out. She ran back to town and found herself going to Ally's house. She climbed the wall easily and got to her window; she opened it noiselessly and slipped in. She didn't know what she was doing here, Ally let her down before, how could she help her now? She was friends with Karly and they both probably hated Tatiana since they felt threatened by her. But here she was waking up the lovely sleeping girl.

"Ally? Ally wake up"

"huh? Who is it?" Ally asked startled trying to find the lights.

"Ally it's me Tatiana"

"Tatiana? What are you doing here so late?"

"I need to tell you a secret. Can you keep a secret?" she asked her in a weak voice and teary eyes as she sat next to her. After a while, she curled up to Ally and fell asleep on her former best friend's lap.
