Two health bars soon took up the upper screen: one for Kylie and Jack. Jack grabbed a meat cleaver from the table and started moving back and forth, slashing the weapon. Kylie discovered she could jump with the up button on her keyboard to avoid the attack. Once Kylie found that out, a picture from the basement wall fell and hit the floor. While Kylie got distracted, she suddenly felt a sharp, hacking feeling in her upper left arm. Examining what happened, Kylie looked horrified as blood came out. She noticed her health went down by about ten percent back in the game.

"Holy shit, if I end up getting hurt in the game, I get hurt for real!" Kylie thought. "If I lose all my health, then..." she shuddered at the thought. The stakes with this fight were high.

She dodged another attack in the nick of time. Then Kylie decided to jump on Jack's head, a common tactic to defeat enemies in games such as this one. When she landed the first hit, Jack started flashing. His health bar went down by approximately 11 percent. Jack resumed his attack, but now Kylie knew what to do. She then landed two more hits on Jack, and his health subsequently went down by 22 percent, making him one-thirds defeated. He stood still, and then he stated,

A few seconds after the message appeared, a pixelated woman appeared on the screen. She had short, brown, curly hair and wore a light green dress. Suddenly, Jack Flynn- before he became what he was today- came up behind her, covered her mouth, and slit her throat with the cleaver. The woman made gasping noises as blood almost immediately soaked the front of her dress. She tried to get away, but then she violently fell forward as the cleaver got slammed into the back of her head. Blood pooled all around her while she twitched.

This woman had to have been Betty Robinson.

The screen went back to the game. This time, Jack picked up an ice pick and started moving back and forth once more. Additionally, he started jumping while he moved to make it harder to hit him. Luckily, Kylie had plenty of experience in gaming to dodge the attacks. She managed to land three more hits on Flynn in no time, leaving only a third of his health remaining. Kylie managed to take no hits this time around, but her upper arm still hurt like hell.

NOW I WILL SHOW YOU WHAT HAPPENED TO JOHN MARKOWITZ- I CERTAINLY HAD FUN WITH HIM.

A short man with short, dark hair appeared on-screen. He looked worried. It seemed as though there was more to Flynn's house than he thought. John then showed a shocked face. The cutscene then showed what happened from a different angle: an ice pick got rammed into his lower back. John then turned around and faced his killer. Next, Flynn quickly stabbed John in the stomach while digitized screaming occurred. Soon enough, John's entire lower body had blood all over it. Finally, after John suffered eight wounds to his abdomen, Flynn finished him off by plunging the weapon into his forehead. Blood immediately ran down his face and neck as he gurgled.

"Jesus- this reminds me of when Jennifer Carson got murdered," Kylie remembered. Jennifer, like John, had also gotten stabbed in the torso area eight times.

The last phase of the fight then started. Flynn then picked up the most threatening weapon yet- a machete. He began to move and jump much more quickly than before. Kylie had to use all of her gaming skills to evade the monster. She managed to get two hits on him and was just about to land the final blow when Flynn abruptly swung his machete and slashed Kylie right across the chest.

A large, bloody gash appeared across Kylie's chest in real-time, and she cried out in agony. Her health bar went down to about five percent. She started to panic as the wound opened up and gushed. Luckily, Kylie remembered an object in the basement. Stumbling forward, she found a roll of duct tape in her father's toolbox. Without hesitation, she taped the wound up, wincing while doing so.

Jack then pulled her back over to the computer chair.

Kylie then got thrust back into the fight. She started to feel woozy- the duct tape was not going to last forever. Another cutscene flashed onto the screen. The person was Helen Worthington- the third and final victim. She ended up getting a machete across the chest like Kylie, but after that occurred, Flynn thrust the machete forward and impaled Helen right through the throat. Helen ended up dying while choking on her blood. Jack started relentlessly pursuing Kylie, but something then changed the whole battle.
