"Goodbye, Randy. Have fun at camp." Randy's mom says as she went to the hospital to work as a nurse. Randy sighed as he sat down, waiting for the bus to appear. He was called out as weird and almost got suspended at school because of his craze on ninjas. He loves ninjas and almost believed that it's real. He often reads mangas on ninjas, anime on ninjas, anything that has ninja elements. He even has his favorite book on ninjas as well. He took it out to read only to find it that it was snatched away from a Tengu bird.

"Hey, give that back!" Randy yelled as he chased the bird demon. The bird went towards a door where Randy opened it to see a while new world, an era where ninjas and magic exists. He saw many mythical creatures and even as impossible as a dragon.

"Woah, so cool." The bird landed on a staff and turned into stone, showing to a witch who has greenish gray hair. He looks old, Randy thought.

"Now where did you run off to? I told you don't pick anything weird." He said to the staff and looks at a book.

"Hmm, another book from the human world? Well, I'll give this to the library then." He said and about to go when Randy snatched the book away.

"Sorry, this is mine." Randy said and out his book in his bag. The witch nod.

"I see, you're a human right? My name is Satoru, a ninja witch here in Norisu Isle. You have to hide the fact that you're human tho. You might get caught." Satoru said and give him a hoodie. Randy wears the hoodie and walks with Satoru around Norisu Isle.

"Woah. Ninjas, witches, awesome!" Randy exclaimed until they arrived at a school called Norisu High. Huh, Norisu? Must be important.

"What's school is this?" Randy asked. Satoru chuckled.

"This is the all Ninja & Witch School. You can learn to be a ninja or being a witch here and all other creatures join as well. Wanna see? I'm a teacher around here." Satoru said and went inside. Randy followed him from behind and was amazed by everything here. There's plenty of streamers and banners saying Grom.

"What's Grom?" He asked Satoru. The witch chuckled.

"It's almost like prom, but the grom king or queen must defeat a monster that was kept underground of the school, the Tengu Fire. Its fire will show your most fear. You have to embrace that fear and defeat it if you want to enjoy the party." He said. Randy was a bit stunned cause that sounds dangerous yet cool at the same time.

"Woah. That sounds awesome." Randy wondered. He looked around and don't hear Satoru's warning when he accidentally bumped into someone.

"Ouch, you okay?" Randy asked as he look up and stunned. A redhead boy with pointy ears, and ninja scarf.

"Be careful, you might get hurt." The boy said with a sweet smile. Randy blushed a bit as he hold onto the redhead's offering hand and stood up.

"I don't think I've seen you before. Your name? My name is Nomi Norisu." He said with charms. Randy gulped and blushed hard.

"M-my name is Randy. Randy Cunningham." He said with an awkward smile, a smile that, Nomi couldn't help but gaze about it. He stopped a bit before smile charmingly.

"Nice to meet you, Randy. Enjoy the school, see you later." Nomi said and waved goodbye pass Randy who's already in a love struck. He can feel his heart beating for the purple hair boy, but something about him just made it feel different. Randy on the other hand, was a blushing mess. He then stumbled onto a few other students and was in awe.

"You're a human?" One of the asked and got excited. It was a witch girl with blackish blue hair. Another was a bit chubby with orange hair and another witch ninja girl with bright purple hair.

"Um, yeah?" Randy answered.

"Oh, mind our manners. My name is Debbie Kang. This orange hair one is Howard Weinerman, my boyfriend and my friend Theresa Fowler. What's yours?" She asked curiously. Randy smiled.

"My name is Randy Cunningham. I hope we can be friends." He said sweetly. Theresa giggles and saw that Randy is a good guy. How nice. And he seems familiar.

"We're friends alright! Oh, maybe you know about grom?" Theresa asked a bit. Randy nod.

"A little, but it sounds dangerous." Randy said curiously. Theresa giggles and nudged him.

"Guess what, you can join too. But you'll have to find a date tho-"

"Randy, there you are!" Randy recognized that voice anywhere. A boy looked like Randy with more darkish purple hair and red eyes rushed towards him and hugged him immediately.

"Oof!" Randy sounded as they both fell down.

"Bro, I've missed you so much!" The twin said in tears. Randy was surprised.

"Wait, you've been here this whole time?" Randy asked as he checked his big brother.

"Yeah, I came here by accident and I never came back home. I'm so sorry." The twin said, sniffing. Randy caress him gently and hugged him dearly.

"I missed you too, Hiroki." Randy said. The twin, Hiroki looked at him and smiled.

"He's your twin brother?" Theresa asked. Randy nod his head and was surprised that Hiroki walked up to her and kissed her dearly.

"Ooooohhhh, my brother's girlfriend is a beauty. Nice choice." Randy smirked. Hiroki smirked at him back.

"Oh? Then why don't you find yourself a date?" He dared. Randy just said sure. Satoru sighed a bit.

"You kids are interesting. Well, I better go now. See you guys at grom." He said and vanished. Randy walked around with Hiroki and the other friends until they stumbled upon Nomi. Randy blushed a bit as he saw him reading a book, but his facial seems to be in fear.

"Oh, it's Nomi. He's one of the child of Norisu Isle. He doesn't seem to excited for the grom." Theresa commented.

"You know he hates socializing, right?" Debbie asked.

"Yeah, he just doesn't seem to want to make new friends." Howard added.

Randy was confused so he walked up towards Nomi and decided to talk to him. He was really sweet and kind, how come he was acted like this? Nomi noticed Randy's presences and looked at him.

"Oh, you again. Do you need anything?" He asked. Randy nod and sat down with him.

"I wanna ask if you are coming to grom tonight? I'm curious." He asked, blushing a bit. The friends and Randy's brother was shocked. He likes Nomi?!

"O-oh, um. The thing is Randy, I-" Nomi couldn't finish his words when the speaker announced the grom king or queen.

"And the chosen one is.... Nomi Norisu!"

Nomi stunned as he heard his name. He really doesn't want to be in his deepest fear. He immediately stood up quicker than he imagined.

"Sorry, Randy. I have to go!" He said and runs away. Randy was surprised but let him go for a while.

"Oh... Maybe I should help him." Randy said and went towards the principal's office for the request.

After school, Randy followed Satoru and Hiroki to their place and practiced a bit after Randy got the acceptance for the grom.

"Are you sure you can up the Tengu Fire?" Satoru asked. Randy nod his head.

"Yup." He said and prepared a bit. Satoru told his little friend to get them some clothes for the grom. Randy was finally prepared but no one would expect it to be... Intense.

At the Norisu household, Nomi looks at the mirror in his tuxedo, feeling nervous. He's not the grom king anymore, but at what cost? Everything.

"Hey bro, ready?" His siblings asked as they went inside his room. The twin sister and the eldest twin siblings.

"Y-yeah." He said, gulping. His big brother and sister told him that the parents called, and he was shaken a bit.

"Y-yes, mother, father?" Nomi asked as he arrived at the door of his parent's room. Both parents looked at him and started to ask him.

"Nomi, you're not the grom king anymore, correct?" The mother asked motherly. Nomi nod.

"So why do you have to go to the grom?" The father asked. Nomi was about to answer, but couldn't. His mouth was sealed shut.

"Speak up, sweetie." The mother asked.

"I… I have a date, mother." Nomi answered. The mother nod and let him go while the father... Well, cursed at him. Nomi runs towards the school and sighed.

"You're here!" Randy called him and Nomi was stunned. Randy was in a tuxedo but with a small skirt. He looks... Lovely.

"Wow, Randy. You look nice. Weird, but, nice." He commented. Randy blushed a little.

"Thanks, Nomi. You don't look too bad yourself. Looked like a... Prince." He said. They both blushed a bit more and heard the bell telling that it's time.

"Well, wish me luck." Randy said and walked towards the room. He faced the Tengu and all of his fear. Well... Not all of them.

"This is where you've been...? You lied to me!" His mother's voice boomed the whole room and made Randy runs towards an open area with a cliff. He was about to be attacked when Nomi came and protect Randy.

"I'm sorry, Randy. I should've fought my own battle." Nomi said as the Tengu Fire shows his fear. A figure with his parents, disappointed at him.

"Who's that?" Randy wondered. The figure walked up towards Nomi after the parents leaving him, and slapped Nomi across the cheek.

"I'll never love you the way you love me." A folded paper was taken from Nomi's pocket and was teared apart. Nomi picked up one side of the paper and hold it dearly.

"Huh?" Randy looked at the other paper that shows Nomi being upset.

"You're afraid of being alone. Nomi, it's okay. What if I'll be your bestest friend?" Randy asked, offering his hand. Nomi was a bit surprised.

"Really?"

"That's what friends do." Nomi smiled and looked at the Tengu Fire, a plan came in him.

"Well, if that's settled, may I have this dance?" Nomi asked. Randy nod as he understood what Nomi meant. He hold onto Nomi by his hand and shoulder while Nomi hold him by the hand and waist. They started to perform a dance that resembled the dance from Amity and Luz Noceda-Blight, the powerful witches and human couples of Hexside.

After they managed to defeat the Tengu, two crowns was formed on their head. They looked at each and smiled a bit, showing their care.

"Sooo, who was the other photo?" Randy asked. Nomi chuckled.

"It's nothing now." He threw away his other paper that lays down on the other one, showing Nomi left alone from his friends with his family.

"We have our new grom kings, everyone!" Howard and Heidi, his sister announced as streamers and confetti's flew above them.

"Hey, Nomi." Randy asked after they finally get their alone time. Under the tree they have created.

"Yes, Randy?" Nomi asked, twirling Randy's hair.

"Can I be more than your friend?" Randy asked. Nomi smiled as he kissed him on the forehead.

"Sure, I'm more than happy to accept you." Nomi said as he looked at Randy through the eyes, shining beautifully under the moon. They were about to kiss when they heard noises and a sneeze.

"We know you guys are there." They both said and saw their friends.

"Sorry!" Debbie said. Nomi looked down, feeling terrible for leaving them because of his family.

"I'm sorry..." He said. The friends looked at each other and smiled.

"It'll take a while, but we'll give you another chance." They said happily. Randy hugged Nomi and the redhead pulled Randy over for a kiss, making Satoru and everyone tries to stop Hiroki from killing Nomi.

"That's my brother, bro!" He said with an angry smile. Nomi chuckled and hold onto Randy tightly.

"He's mine now, brother in law." He said and Randy couldn't help himself. He immediately blushed and fainted as he was held in Nomi's arms, about to see what else in his adventure awaits him.
