Fairy Love
"Just you wait, Saigon! I'll prove to you that I am not a weakling!" Nomi shouted at his brother who told him that his skills is as good as a baby bird. He immediately ran towards the Forbidden Forest, a place where no one dared to go. No one comes in and came out alive or okay. No one. The parents are worried about their child's safety but they couldn't go in there because of their sickness.
Nomichi cried to call back her twin brother but no vail. He was already deep in there. Diamond, the older sister calmed the little one down, including the youngest twins in the family who cried when their favorite brother ran away. Saigon only huffed before continuing his meditation in the nearby mountains.
"Saigon, shouldn't you go and get your brother back?" The grandfather, Nobuyaki Norisu said. Saigon shook his head.
"If he wants to prove himself so bad, leave it be. I'm sure he'll come back begging for forgiveness once again like before." He replied before continuing to go to the mountains. Bruce McCheese, their personal messenger decided to follow Nomi into the forest, just in case.
Nomi meanwhile, ran deep inside. He didn't know why he was doing the choice of running into the forbidden part of the village, but he did it anyway. He ran and ran until he tumbled down, scrapping his knees, elbows and face. He look up to see a small opening, a pond in the center surrounded with beautiful nature. There were animals there like deers, rabbits, and many more.
To be honest, Nomi hasn't been eating anything since two days ago since he was told that he will only eat for satisfaction, not for health. He thought that not eating with his cravings will be a better way to diet than eating in small portions. Besides, he is not strong enough to catch the animal and he was too weak to kill them, let alone eat them. He sat down near a close by tree and rested a bit, closing his eyes into slumber. It's gonna be the third day of no eating, so he stay in hunger as he fell into the darkness. He thought he'll ended up in the darkness forever, unable to get back up to his home.
One voice woke him up though.
"Hello, are you still alive?"
Nomi woke up to see a boy with long ears and wings, like a fairy. His clothes are red and green, with black floral shoes. He seems to have a small bag on his waist, who is he? Nomi woke up looking at him shockingly.
"Who are you?" He asked.
"I'm Randy, a fairy. What about you?" Randy replied sweetly. Cute, Nomi thought.
"I'm Nomi, a human?" He said, but ended up with a question. Randy chuckled.
"I noticed. What are you doing here deep in the forest? No one usually come here, y'know. This place is a secret. It was called the Pond of Mysteries, but now we just called it a simple pond for nature life." He explained a bit as he sat down, placing his wings down to make room.
"O-oh, I see." Nomi said in wonder before his stomach grumbled. He looked embarrassed.
"Um..." He tried to speak but couldn't. The fairy smiles and took out some yummy dumplings from his bag. There's quite the amount as well.
"Here, have some of my snacks. I kinda learn about this." He said and took one before biting into it with a smile. Nomi gently took one and bit it, it's delicious. He ate it in one gulp before getting another one. He is starving.
"Man, you're one fast eater. How many hours of you not being eating?" Randy asked as he finished his first dumpling. Nomi meanwhile finished 3 in matter of seconds.
"Three days actually." He answered before finishing his 4th dumplings. Yummy! Randy was surprised as he gave Nomi some fresh water.
"Seriously? Why?"
"Well... It's a long story so I won't tell you." Nomi answered and drank the water. Refreshing, he felt healthy. Randy sighed.
"Fine, so now what?" He asked as he look up at the blue sky. The clouds moves slowly to the wind as he closed his eyes, feeling the nature breeze. Nomi did the same thing. It's relaxing.
"Maybe we can talk about ourselves and our species?" Nomi suggested. Randy thought a bit then nod.
"Sure, why not." And that was that. Nomi learned about fairy's existences and vice versa. They learned from biology to history to tradition.
"So, you have a family?" Randy asked sweetly. Nomi nod is head.
"Yeah, they're really nice."
"I see. How's it like?"
"Well, wait. You don't have a family?" Nomi looked at Randy in surprise. Randy shook his head.
"No, no we don't. We don't have a family to begin with." Nomi now got confused.
"Wait, then how are you guys born?" Nomi asked, wanting to know so bad.
"Well, we usually born when the spring flowers bloom. They will open the petals of closed buds and reveal the children. Yes, we have our reproduction systems in all men and women, but it's almost never in use. We only do that whenever we're in heat or rut." Randy explained. Nomi was mesmerized.
"So you don't have a sibling?"
"No, but I do have a twin that was born next to me in the same flower bud. It's a rare thing for fairies but we accept it. Me and my twins even though born from the same flower, we're still not technically brothers. We have no parents to say family to begin with. Note the fact that he is the complete opposite of me." Nomi was surprised and starts to mentally taking notes of these.
"That is pretty, interesting." He commented. Randy nod.
"I guess so. How do you guys reproduce?" He asked, curious eyes glowing from him. Nomi blushed a bit, gulped before trying to explain to Randy.
"W-well, it all started when two people, a man and a woman starts to get... "Comfy", they'll do this thing called... "S**" and make love to each other. Soon, the guy's sperm went inside of the woman's womb and crated an offspring, a baby to say it." Nomi explained with a red face. Randy smiled.
"I see." He simply said and look at the sky again.
"So, when are you going back home?" Randy asked Nomi gently. Nomi look down and thought a bit. His older brother might be in the mountains meditating like usual, his older sister will be taking care of the younger twins while the parents are having their flu and grandfather is too old. Nomichi... She might be crying.
"I don't want to go back yet. Let me stay here a bit longer..." He said, trying his best to hide his true feelings. Randy sighed.
"Nomi, your family might be worried about you. Maybe your big brother might not but your twin? Your parents? They can get more sick if you don't come back. You are their child after all. Think about the pain that they have to bear about your safety." Randy consulted. Nomi went quiet before nodding his head, agreeing to go back home.
"It's about time, Nomi." Messenger said nearby as he hold onto Nomi as if he was his nephew. Nomi was surprised yes but overall he was happy. His favorite person beside his twin sister is finally here. He hugged the messenger before looking at Randy to ask for help.
"How can we go back home?" He asked. Randy opened his swing bag and took out some fairy dust, sprinkle it all over Nomi and Messenger before telling to feel the wind pushing them upward. They were able to fly.
They flew from the forest until they reached the home, only a few meters away. The dust fades away as they step out from the forest. Randy smiled in the shadow as he watches them flew down.
"Alas, this is as close I can bring you as possible. I can't get out from this forest, it's my home and we fairies are required to stay here. I wish you the best of luck with your life, Nomi." He said with a sweet smile, a smile that Nomi couldn't help but blush to it. He smiled as he hugged Randy tightly.
"I'll miss you. Can I visit you again?"
"Of course you can, anytime you want. I'll be free all day everyday until late evening." Randy smiled and Nomi blushed again. He looked adorable.
"Thanks, Randy. You look adorable when you smiled." He covered his hand immediately after he said that, but Randy giggled slightly.
"Thank you for the compliment, Nomi. You are quite charming yourself. Well, let's see each other tomorrow. I'll be waiting at the pond. Here's a map in case you got lost." Randy passed a map showing the location.
"This map will guide you to the pond by pointing to the direction of your desired location." He explained. Nomi nod and kissed Randy's forehead, making the fairy blush a bit.
"Thank you very much, Randy. I'll see you tomorrow!" He waved goodbye as the fairy wave and left. Nomi smiled to himself, weirdly. Messenger chuckled and smirked.
"So, you got a new crush?" Nomi look down and smiled, placing his hand on his chest where his heart is located.
"He's unique, unlike anyone else."
