How is it like to be blind? Very hard. The way you can't see anything, darkness always there, nothing to see. It's very blank. That's what Randy's been experiencing since childhood. He can't see anything so it's hard for him to get use to everything.

But, he has a special ability. His hearing is as good as a bat and dolphin, as well as dogs and cats. He can hear even the slightest sound, when a needle dropped on the ground.

Even though Randy is blind, that doesn't mean he can't be happy of it. He had a friend where he called himself as Howard and another friend named Nomi. They will be coming to his house for a surprise.

"Cunningham, I'm here!" Howard shout. Randy smiled, he can hear him smirking. Such a classic.

"Hello, Howard. How's Debbie?" He asked. He knew about Howard's relationship with Debbie, saying that they are a couple.

"She's great. She's send her regards."

"That's good to hear. I've received her regards. So, what's the surprise?" Randy asked. Howard then chuckled.

"I've got you a walking cane for ya. I know you need one so I got it for you." Randy almost cried.

"T-thanks, Howard. I appreciate it. Where's Nomi?" Randy got worried. Did Nomi came or not?

"Oh, about that. Sorry Cunningham but he couldn't come. He had some business if I'm not wrong." Randy can hear a guilty feeling from Howard.

"It's okay, Howard. You did tell me where's Nomi, so it's fine." Randy smiled. Howard simply nod.

"I have to go. Heidi needs help with her boyfriend, Steven Charles. Talk to you soon, Cunningham." Howard left. Randy felt empty again. He couldn't feel any better than a gift, but the feeling of Nomi's missing presence is just not good. He took the walking cane and walked towards his room. He felt a presence of a stranger and heard something was placed on his table.

"Is there anyone there?" Randy asked. No answer. He heard a glowing sound calling him over. He came and felt a fabric of a mask, and a book.

"What's this?" He asked himself. Just then, the book glows and released a boy with red hair, brown eyes and a cape covering his body. Randy can only hear the presence of it.

"What are you?" Randy asked. The figure was shock.

"Randy?" Randy recognized the voice. He called it out.

"Nomi? Is that you? What are you doing in my room?" Nomi sighed as he smiled, and Randy can hear it.

"Yes, it's me, Nomi. Your friend. I'm also Nomicon, your ninja teacher. And you are the new ninja." Randy's cane fell down as he was shock.

Him, the new ninja? But, he's blind! He can't even fight well! Why is he the new ninja?!

"Nomi, I'm blind. How can I be the ninja?" Randy asked, still shocked by the news.

"You have the hero's heart and a generous guy. You are willing to save everyone and sacrifice yourself for everyone. That what's make you a hero, Randy." Nomi explain. Randy still couldn't get it in his mind. Nomi smiled.

"Randy, I can help you. You can learn and used your hearing ability to fight. Trust me, okay?" Randy blushed, he can feel the presence of Nomi closer to his body, the breath can be feel, so warm. Nomi took notice.

"Ah. I'm sorry. You don't like strangers like me hugging you! I forgot!" Randy smiled as he hugged him back.

"You are not a stranger, Nomi. You are my friend." They hugged and can feel sparks around them.

"Ready for your ninja lesson?" Nomi asked. Randy nodded.

"I'm ready."

3 years later

Randy learned to use his ability even though he can't see. Nomi helped him getting use to fighting using his hearing senses, which for Randy, it was very sweet. He can hear his heart beating for Nomi. Has he developed a crush on him? If so, can they even be together?

"Randy, you okay?" Nomi asked at the school ground. He and Randy schooled there, and Randy took special classes for that.

"I'm okay, just feeling weird. Huh?" Randy saw a spark of red, but it was just a moment. What was that?

"Randy?" Nomi asked worriedly. What's wrong with him?

"I- I can see something, but it went too fast. It was something bright..." Randy answered. Nomi was shock. Could it be, can be see again soon?

"Randy, are you sure?" Nomi got closer to him. Another spark came to Randy's darkness, much brighter than before.

"Nomi, can you stand still for a minute?" Nomi did what he was told. What's happening?

Randy hugged Nomi, and the spark is visible. He then saw a few other colors he'd never seen before. Then, he saw a visual. He saw a red head in front of him. There's the beautiful brown eyes and a generous face filled with worries. Is this...

"Nomi, has your hair is this red?" Nomi went shocked.

"C- Can you see me, Randy?!" Nomi asked loudly. Howard, Debbie, and Theresa came to him shock. Randy can see them.

"... Are you guys my friends?" Randy asked, his tears flows down. For 13 years of his life, ever since he was just a year old, he couldn't see anything. Now, he can see. But how?

"Bro, it's me, Howard! This is Debbie! And that's Theresa." Randy looked at them, smiling.

"But, how's is that possible?" Nomi asked himself, then got a hypothetical answer. Was it...

... Love?

"I can see you guys, this is what you guys looked like? I can't believe it. Nomi, is that what you really look like? Red hair, brown eyes and a smooth skin?" Nomi nodded.

"Yes Randy. But how's that possible?" Randy shrugged. Nomi got closer to him, holding Randy's face and saw Randy's eyes. Before that, the eyes were just white. No colors. Now, it's crystal sapphire blue. How beautiful.

"Nomi, I think you've helped me see again. Thank you." Randy hugged him tightly. Howard knows what's up.

"Maybe you should try kissing him, Cunningham." Nomi blushed, bit Randy got confused.

"How does one kiss someone?" Nomi decided to just do it.

"Like this." He pulled Randy closer to him and kissed him dearly. Sure, Randy was surprised but he kissed back. Randy's view is amazing and beautiful.

"That felt nice." He said, breaking the kiss. Nomi smiled.

"Yeah it is."
