Taylor stood in front of the sink, frowning at her reflection in frustration. Her silver hair was a tousled mess, not to mention how unclean it was. A week ago, the shower in there house had broken, and now she had had to satisfy herself with her half full bottle of dry shampoo. Now, she narrowed her eyes at the empty bottle, sighing in annoyance. She had forgotten that yesterday she had used the last of it, and now she looked like a mess. Worse, Taylor had several errands to run today, including meeting the man who was supposed to fix the shower for her.

"Well, this is just great," she muttered to her reflection. "Washing my hair on my own will take to long.." She threw the empty bottle into the trash can below the sink and flew open the curtain to the shower, taking the bottle of regular shampoo in her hands. She slid back over to the sink and looked at it awkwardly, wondering how this would work.

"Just relax, I'll wash your hair for you."

Taylor turned quickly at the sound of Ratchet's voice, her spark skipping a beat. The holoform of her sparkmate stood in the doorway to the bathroom, one hand holding his cup while the other held the door handle. She flushed heavily, quickly reaching up and hiding the top of her bedhead.

"..How long have you been standing there?" she asked tentatively, glancing down at her feet while her cheeks continued to heat up with embarrassment.

The corner of his lips turned up ever so slightly in a small smirk. "Long enough," he told her simply, taking one more sip of his coffee before setting it down on the counter. He walked over to her side and took the bottle of shampoo in his hands, looking it over.

She pouted and tried to straighten her hair. "I can do it.."

He scoffed slightly. "You have things to do, today, don't you?" He leaned over her and turned on the sink. "I can help you."

"You have to go to work today, too, though," she protested, squirming. "Aren't you supposed to meet Agent Fowler at base in an hour?"

"This shouldn't take that long," he told her, not the least bit fazed. He turned his head to gaze into her eyes, smiling softly while raising an eyebrow. "Unless you think I'm unable to wash your hair?"

The young wife flushed terribly, even more so than before. She was well aware he knew how to wash her hair and plenty of other human things, since she had taught him how to live like a human. When they had decided to live a life like this, he had been actually anxious for her to teach him how to act like a regular person. She twirled her messy hair in her fingers and gulped.

"No, I know you can," she muttered softly. "Sorry, I'm just a little embarrassed."

He kissed her forehead gently, rubbing her cheek. "No need to be. I've seen you in worse condition." He popped the shampoo bottle open.

She finally smiled, chuckling a little. "That's true." She leaned up and kissed his cheek in return, messing with his own hair, which was already frustratingly neat. "Thanks, sweetspark."

He nodded once, helping her lean her head back in the sink. "Of course, dear."

Taylor didn't close her eyes as he began wetting her hair and applying the soap. She knew she didn't need to; his hands were always steady and careful. He wouldn't let any of the shampoo get in her eyes. Reluctant as she had been to have him help her, she knew that he was fully capable of doing this right. She watched his serious face as he scrubbed her hair and smiled lovingly up at him as the suds began to dance around her head.

"You should let me wash your hair sometime," she told him. "Just for the fun of it."

He did not look at her, still washing her thick silver hair, but he smiled at the thought of it. "I suppose, but are you sure you'll be able to reach the top of my head? Even in this form, I am much taller than you."

She snorted and wacked his chest playfully. "You tease," she laughed. "I can surely try. It wouldn't hurt for you to lean down, would it?"

"Just be careful not to get any of the soap into my eyes then," he told her, his voice level even though his eyes danced with a glimmer of mischief. He lifted her head away from the sink as he finished scrubbing and rinsing, ringing out the sopping wet strands before she stood up straight.

She refrained herself from shaking her head at him. "I'm sure I would do fine!"

He chuckled softly and patted her wet head. "Sure." He turned around and took a towel off the hanger, plopping it playfully over her head so that she could no longer see. "We'll have to see."

She laughed out loud, making no move to remove to towel. "So you plan on letting me, then? Even if you don't trust me to not get soap in your eyes?"

She felt the towel move from the top of her head, and a moment later she was staring into his beautiful teal eyes. He twirled the towel over her head so that it would stay and then gently took her chin, smiling at her. "You know as well as I that I trust you with anything," he said softly, leaning down and pressing his lips against hers.

Taylor smiled underneath the kiss and held the sides of his head in her hands, their eyes locked as they kissed each other. Eventually they let go, and she chuckled. "Of course I do," she answered in a quiet voice.

His smile grew broader and he began to rub her hair harshly to dry it. "Good. Now, are you sure you don't want to meet me at base today? Now that you are all beautiful," he teased, pulling the towel away from her head a little harder than he normally would.

She jerked a little as he did so, letting out a little cry. Taylor straightened herself quickly, shaking her head. "Well, let me get dressed first. Then I will." She hugged him tightly before running off. "See you in a minute!"

Ratchet watched his sparkmate go, love in his gaze. He sighed to himself, glancing at his human reflection in the mirror with a smile. He wondered how he had gotten so lucky as to have found the perfect little wife. Setting the bottle down, he went to go see if she needed any help with that, too.
