Summer's POV

What just happened? Did Raven just admit that she was in love with (Y/N)? And she also thought I was interested in (Y/N)? Raven seemed to be just as shocked as I was by her declaration because she instantly clamped her mouth shut and stiffened her whole body. We stand there for a minute or so as the Grimm rampage around the village.

"D-did you just say that you l-love (Y/N)?" My voice squeaks as I say that.

"Y-yes." She stuttered. With a blush on her face. Raven Branwen, the highest ranked student in combat class, the girl who I have seen scare a Beowolf away with her glare alone, and one of the most intimidating people I have ever come to know, just stuttered in embarrassment. Oh, my Oum she's telling the truth! And she told me of all people! Before she could say or do anything I rush her and hug her tight.

"Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh! Have you told him? Oh, this explains so much, like why you always seem to be watching him or why you always glare when Indigo and Dodger try and flirt with him. Oh, you two would look so cute together!" Before I could continue any farther Raven grabs my arms and forces me away. She looks me straight in the eyes before speaking.

"Summer."

"Yeah."

"Calm." After she said that I realize that I was getting so excited and talking so fast that I forgot to breathe. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. After that, I open my eyes and signal to her that she can let me go. After she sets me down she begins again. "Look I admit it. I love (Y/N). I have for a while now and it is because of those feelings that I may have viewed the interactions between the two of you with a... less than mature perspective." She looks away after saying that. Is she embarrassed? "So know that I am sorry." ... She just apologized. First she admits she loves (Y/N), then she gets embarrassed, and now she apologizes. This must be the end of the world. "Now let's move." With those words, she shook me out of my little trance. After recovering I noticed she was already moving towards the center of town and quickly moved to catch up with her.

"Raven?" I got a side glance in response. "Why haven't you told (Y/N) how you feel?"

"I can't..."

"Why?" She moved faster as if to outrun me. Oh no, I spend so much time trying to get her to open up to me. I am not just letting her hide away like a turtle in its shell. "Raven why can't you tell him? (Y/N) is a nice guy he wouldn't be upset or anything like that." She stops.

"I... I don't know what I would do if I tell him and he doesn't like me back." She looks down at the ground avoiding my gaze as if I am upset at her or something. I grab her shoulders and gently shake her to make her look at me. When she does I can see the fear in her eyes.

"But if you never tell him how you feel somebody else might get him."

"But what if he doesn't like me?"

"But what if he does?" This is so weird. I never thought that I would be comforting Raven Branwen but here I am. After a moment of silence Raven final speaks.

"I will consider what you have said. Could you please not tell anyone?" I nod my head.

"I won't tell anyone."

"Thank you. Now we should go regroup." Raven starts to move again. Staying where I am I quietly cheer to myself.

"Yes!"

"Summer hurry up!"

"Coming, Raven!"

(Y/N)'s POV

My blade comes down slicing a Beowolf in half. I spin to my way around and slice another one across the mouth parting its lower jaw from the rest of its body. A Boarbatusk comes rolling towards me. Gripping the hilt of my sword I swing my blade like a baseball bat sending the Boarbatusk flying.

"Hey (Y/N)! Heads up!" Tai shouts before throwing an Ursa into the air. Switching my weapon to gun-mode, I blast the Ursa to smithereens. Qrow then drops out of the sky and slices a group of Creeps to bits. Once Tai gets over to us we take in our surroundings. Qrow manages to pant out.

"This isn't working we. Need to think of something else." Tai scoffs at this.

"Oh come on! You getting tired on us?" Qrow didn't take that to well.

"No, I'm just saying we should regroup not just go randomly bashing things like an idiot, Tai!"

"Who are you calling an idiot!?" Before they could continue a Nevermore screeches and tries to throw its feathers at us while another group of Creeps surrounds us. Tai uses his semblance to block the feathers. Once the force shield is dropped I blast the Nevermore out of the sky while Qrow uses his scythe to dispatch of the Grimm.

"All right we've been here for an hour or so and the three of us are getting nowhere. We should try and regroup with Raven and Summer and come up with a new plan." Tai scoffs.

"Yeah sure that's why you want to meet up with them and not to make "goo-goo eyes" with Raven." A giant black feather shoots down in between us.

"Look we can't stay here and argue. Let's get back to the city hall and you can make fun of me then."

"Fine." As we start towards the center of town the ground begins to shake violently. The few buildings that were still standing begin to crumble.

"What the hell is going on?!" Qrow nearly falls over as he speaks. Tai forms a shield around us as one of the buildings crumbles down atop of us. "An earthquake happens just as the town is getting invaded by Grimm? Some shit luck we got." Jeez, Qrow really starts to let em fly when Summer isn't near.

"I am so glad Summer isn't here right now. She'd have a heart attack from how much you've been cursing." I can see Tai struggling with the shield. "You doing okay there, Tai?" In a pained voice, he forces out.

"Oh just peachy there, (Y/N). Why don't you two just sit down and chat while I do some weightlifting with a freakin building." Sweat starts to drip down his face.

"Can you force the shield out to clear the rubble away?" He thinks for a moment.

"Maybe."

"Alright then on then on the count of three Tai will push the rubble as far away as possible." I turn to Qrow before continuing. "That will be our chance to grab Tai and get out as fast as we can. We all good?" Qrow nods and Tai tries to as well.

"Alright. 1...2...3!" Tai then uses all he can to push the rubble away. He manages to push it a few feet away. Qrow then grabs Tai's right arm and I his left as we make a dash to the clearest opening. Once we are out from underneath the building I see what the cause of the tremors was.

"The fucking hell is that thing?!" I must say Qrow summed it up pretty well.

A few yards away, standing with its left side facing us, a Grimm the size of a hill stands on its hind legs and towers over what few houses that are left standing. The beast then raises its right hand showing off a giant club and brings it crashing down atop of a nearby house. It then turns to face us and I see the full nightmarish form of the Grimm. Its hind legs are that of a bull's with the hooves being white like the bones that grow from all Grimm. The farther up its body, the monster slowly turns from a bull's body to a gross twisted version of a man's. Its arms are like giant trees that are covered with scars from years of battle. Around the shoulders of the beast is the bone like armor that goes down the chest of the creature. The head of the creature turns back into a bull's, with white horns at the top. Its red eyes narrow once the monster sees us. The beast lets out a monstrous cry and then begins to charge us with its club raised. Well, this just went from bad to worse.

"Qrow, take Tai and head back to the town hall. I'll cover you."

"What and leave you to fight that thing alone?" Qrow turns and gives me a befuddled look.

"Just go, I'll be right behind you." I then ran towards the Grimm before Qrow could respond. Once I was a few feet away, I slide between the creature's legs. Just as I got behind the Grimm, it slams its club down where I was. I jump up and ready my sword to fight. Before I can back stab it, the creature spins around and knocks me away with its club. Well, at least it's focusing on me instead of Qrow and Tai. The monster then puts the club down and rips a huge chunk out of the ground. Great, it's not only smart enough to use weapons but to use its environment as a weapon as well. I rush towards the boulder just as it throws it. After I slice the rock in half, the Grimm punches me in the face sending me flying again. And it knows to distract its opponents! Oh, we got a triple. Standing up from the rubble, I hear the creature making a weird noise. Is it laughing at me? It's official, I am definitely killing this thing.

"Oh, you think that's funny, Tiny? Well, I'll show you funny!" Just then my aura flares up as I activate my semblance. (F/C) energy begins to envelop my body and I feel my whole body heat up. Rushing towards Tiny, I swing my great sword towards his torso. Tiny blocks with the club leaving the tip of the blade pointed at his head. With a smirk, I pull the trigger on the hilt of the blade and fire into him. Tiny staggers back and I take the chance to slash his chest a few times. Only the last one leaves any marks on him. Once Tiny regains his balance it tries to punch me again. I turn my great sword on its side to block the strike. With my semblance active, I can actually block this. With a smirk, I shout. "Who's laughing now, Tiny?" Stabbing the sword into the ground, I flip over and land behind him. I punch him in the small of his back and he then trips over my sword as Tiny stumbles forward. I grab my sword rush up behind him but Tiny rolls out of the way. Just as my fist meets the ground, something clocks me across the face and I am sent flying for what feels like the fiftieth time today. I feel the side of my face and notice a hoof imprint on my cheek. "Okay, apparently it's you who is laughing." Tiny grabs his weapon and I grab mine. Before I can do anything, Tiny lets out a cry and the ground begins to shake. To my side, I see a huge cloud of dust barreling towards me as the sound of hooves beating against the ground fills the air. Great, Tiny's called in backup. Straightening up, I pop my knuckles before activating my semblance again. "Alright, Tiny! Round two!"

Well, another part done. Well, I wanted to make a couple of things clear. Yeah I know explaining something in the story ala "word of author" isn't everyone's favorite thing, but here it is. So the first thing is Tai's semblance. Basically, he has the ability to make force fields, not ones on the level of say Susan Storm a.k.a. Invisible Woman but he can make them surround himself and a small area around him. I know we don't know Taiyang's real semblance and once it is revealed this will be out of date but hey it's a fanfiction, so we can take some creative liberties. Second is (Y/N)'s semblance. Basically think kaio-ken from DB, DBZ, and DBS. Yeah, uncreative but I thought it would be cool. So how did I do? Good? Bad? Ugly? Eh? Tell me what you think if it is not any trouble.
