Library Blackmail

Kira's P.O.V.

"Kira..??" Shane's voice, sounding suspicious, penetrated through the solid walls.

"If you wanna live, you need to jump out the window, like NOW." I removed the comforter while pushing my numb self off the bed and walked over to hold the door closed.

"Can I just hide in your closet?" Caleb was restless and roaming around the room like a headless chicken.

"Jump, NOW." I ordered him. I was actually grateful for Shane's sudden interruption because I wanted Caleb to leave so that I wouldn't have to review my past life with him.

Caleb opened the window and paused as he turned with a solemn look on his face.

"I'll see you tomorrow." His eyes spoke a language that I could not understand however it inflicted sorrow and sadness.

"Run..." With a smirk on my face, I gently twisted the knob on the door to get out as quickly as possible and closed the door behind me.

"Did you call me?" I met Shane halfway down the corridor preventing him to go to my room.

"I heard someone talking, just wanted to check if everything's okay." He frowned while glaring at the closed door of my room.

"I was watching the last episode of Teen Wolf, 'cause the new one is out today so... You wanna go watch it with me?" I hated lying to my brother, however, I did watch the last episode before Caleb decided to intrude.

"You know no one is allowed to know that I enjoy watching those... shows." He started following me downstairs and that ended all his suspicions about any intruders.

----

Waking up next morning was like mission impossible; I didn't get enough sleep last night considering the fact that Caleb had dropped a nuclear bomb on me, again. I couldn't grasp the fact that he was there in NY, also I couldn't understand the fact that he was talking to me, knowing what I was like in NY.

No matter how hard I tried I couldn't recognize him, I would remember him if he was a jock or something at least but I just could not picture him in my head. Everything about NY was blurry, almost like a dream wrapped in a nightmare. After reaching the school premises I decided to spend my free periods and lunch with Saira.

We had a lot of catching up to do since she was in Utah for the last week visiting her niece. Although she was a cheerleader, she still avoided the drama and the mean girls club, which made me respect her more considering the fact she had every right to be bitter and envious about life.

"How was the trip?" I inquired while walking into the school building.

"It was nice to see her you know, she's growing up pretty fast." She pursed her lips together while nodding her head towards me.

"I can't believe it's been 7 months already, seems like it was yesterday you were... you know." I didn't want to say anything out loud due to the fact no one knows the truth.

"I know but it would be nice if Shane visited her sometimes." Her words trembled while trying to pronounce his name.

"You really hate him don't you?" I frowned.

"I don't hate him, I just ... sometimes it would be nice to have a support." I could tell she was trying her hardest to hold back the tears that stung her silver eyes.

"You know that he will never accept her, he never planned to have her." By now tiny beads of tears rolled down her smooth pink cheeks.

"I know it was my decision to have the baby but it's his too..." She trailed off, trying to contain a sob. "She looks kinda like you, you know. She has your eye shape and my eyes." She gave me small smile that broke my heart.

"I know, I've seen her, god I would have loved to be her godmother. She looks like an angel, how did my brother preserve such a beautiful thing" Saira was one of the most beautiful girls I've ever known, tall, slim athletic figure with dyed blond hair resting above her neckline and those silver with blue hue eyes were to die for.

While Shane had hooded eyelids, button nose, tanned surface and jet-black hair with chocolate brown eyes.

"I just want him to accept his child." She straightened herself up before we heading towards the library. We decided to ditch the first lesson and talk about things like the old times when Shane was dating her.

Shane refused to bring any girls home but I forced him to let Saira come and stay with us sometimes, she was like an older sister to me but she never discovered the truth.

"You know he's moved on..." Before I could finish my sentence, she blurted out her name.

"Lacey... I know, he seems to like her a lot." I couldn't imagine the amount of pain she must have felt while seeing the man she loved and the father of her child, love someone else.

"I'll be honest with you, she sounds like a nice girl and in the future, I will probably start getting close to her but, you need to know I'll always be here for you. Even when you head off to college next year, you'll still be like a sister to me." I linked my arms with hers which made her chuckle.

"You are the best you know that? You helped me through some situations that nearly took my life. So, thank you K, it means a lot to me." She smiled while tugging at my arm before opening the library door.

"You know what I haven't done in a while?"

"What?" Saira seemed concerned and confused with the mischievous grin I had on my face.

"You know the make-out spot at the back, it's been a while ..."

"If you wanna make out with me, I'm totally down with that..." She caught me off guard causing me stumble on the spot.

"Dude, seriously?" Taking a seat at the far end of the room near where books full of shelves descended down the long hall room.

"What? It's not like we haven't done that before when we were drunk..." She had a cheeky grin on her face which baffled me.

"I've NEVER been drunk..." I somewhat lied, considering the fact I've never actually drunk any liquor since I moved here.

"Ohh, then it must have been Maya... hmm" She frowned as she tried tapping to her memory.

"DUDE... YOU, made out with MAYA?..." I couldn't restrain my laughter. " Devon's gonna LOVE that..."

"Ehh..." She sighed. I remember before she had the baby, she was a hybrid between Miley Cyrus and Kesha and I am not the biggest fan of them.

"AS I was saying, I wanna go and see who's making out this time... and maybe get a picture then blackmail them." Her blue hue eyes sparkled after hearing the evil offer.

"I'll get the camera ready, you find the victims, although I preferred your first offer." I cringed at that thought of that.

"I didn't give you the first offer." I hissed at her as we tiptoed our way among the shelves.

"I'm sorry for taking my sexual frustration out on you." I halted at my spot while she covered her mouth to prevent her from giggling.

"Do you need me to hook you up with someone, I totally will as long as you keep your paws off me..." I rolled my eyes at her as I held up my palm in defence.

"Deal." She jumped in glee.

"Now let's go..." We tiptoed down the labyrinth near the make-out spot, where I used to always go with Devon to make fun of couples, but I've never been there myself for my own pleasure, and I never intend on going there, considering my past experiences.

"Okay, I hear moaning..." We stopped one shelf away from the spot when we heard two people groan in pleasure. "I wish I was deaf." I gave Saira a disgusted look.

"Okay in 3 K, ready" She demanded as she clicked on the camera app on her phone.

Taking a step back we got ourselves ready to jump and startle the poor couple.

"3" Both whispered in unison and with a small nod towards each other, we were off.

Jump... Click...

It felt like time collapsed and the world froze around me, the vilest and most disturbing image laid before me. I quickly covered my eyes with both hands and turned on one leg only to have collided with Saira.

"My EYESSS..." I screeched.
