Laura walked into the newly bought house her and Ross got a couple weeks ago after deciding the twins needed a proper family.

Avery, the oldest was the girl, and Shor- the youngest was the boy. They were both 6 years old- turning 7 and so Ross and Laura decided that even though they weren't married, they'd buy a house and live together.

It was great for a while.. Until that day.

"Ross..." Laura had tears in her eyes. She couldn't believe what she saw. She had just gone out for an hour and when she got home their he was.

Sitting on the couch with some girl making out.

How could he...

I thought he loved me...

We have kids !

All these thoughts swarmed in her head.

She wanted to yell, to scream, to cry.. But she couldn't. It wasn't right, it wasn't what Laura Marie Marano did.

"Laura.. I can explain-" Ross stood up from the couch, pushing the girl off.

"No need..."

Ross was taken back at how calm she sounded.

It even shocked her a bit.

"What.."

"I..It's okay..." Laura was surprised at how easily she'd said that. She thought she'd be bawling her eyes out by now but.. Nothing. No tears, no anger, no nothing.

"Congratulations you guys.. Really, i'm happy for you."

Ross looked at her like she was crazy, "What ..? What are you talking about ?"

Laura wanted to tell him he was a jerk, he broke her heart.. But those weren't the words that came out of her mouth.

"Really- congratulations, i'm really happy for you. Listen kids," she kneeled down to the twins height gripping onto the both of them, "Mommy loves you okay- but I need you guys to stay with Daddy for a while- mommy needs to be somewhere for a couple days-" being 6 years old the twins nodded their heads confused as ever.

Laura released her grip, standing back up. She gave Ross and the girl one last look before moving towards the front door

"Wait !" Ross's yell pierced through the silence.

"I don't.. I... What ?"

Ross was so confused. He wasn't sure why Laura was reacting like this- why she wasn't yelling, or screaming, or crying, and he most definitely wasn't sure how he felt about it.

"I'm okay with it Ross.. With this."

He opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out

"If you really loved me.. Which I thought you did- you wouldn't have cheated on me. If you really cared.. If I really was the one, than you wouldn't have cheated. You cheated so that means i'm not "The One" for you- there's probably some other girl out there thats's the one.. It could be her," she pointed towards the girl awkwardly standing next to Ross,"Or it could be some stranger you haven't met yet.. But you cheated on me.. So there is NO way i'm "The One" if I was the one... You wouldn't have cheated ... I'm okay. As long as you are happy. Congratulations Ross." Laura walked out the door probably never returning, ever.

Ross wasn't sure what was worse- the fact that he just lost the love of his life, the fact that he didn't know why he cheated, or the fact that she stayed extremely calm.

Either way he knew he didn't have ANY feelings for the girl next to him.

"But I love you.." He mumbled, staring at the door Laura just left from.
