Hi, my name's Laura Marano. I'm seventeen years old. I go to East Coast  High. I'm the most popular girl at my school. I am the captain of the cheerleading, skating, and girls basketball team.

Enough about me, let's get on with the  story.

I woke up this morning to my super loud, super annoying alarm clock. I reached my hand over to shut it off. At the same time, my phone went off signalling I had a text.

It was from my BFF Olivia Holt.

Liv😘: hey girl, I know your probably up by now, but just wanted to say that I have a new cheer for practice today

I smiled down at my phone. Liv was the co-captain of the cheerleading team and was always giving me ideas for new cheers.

Laur😍: Thanks liv. I'll listen to them when we get to school.

I sent the text and started to pick out my outfit. I finally decided on a neon pink crop top with the word #slay written in big, bold, black letters on the front, a black, leather skater skirt, black leggings, my favorite neon pink high top converse, and a long sleeve, black, leather jacket. For accessories, I picked out a neon pink, small, diamond ring, a charm bracelet, and
a black choker.

I went in the bathroom to do my normal morning necessities before doing my hair in a tight ponytail with two curly bangs in the front and a cute neon pink bow. I put on little makeup. Mango flavored lip gloss, black eyeshadow, and mascara.

I put on my chosen outfit, put my phone in a bedazzled, neon pink case, and went downstairs for breakfast.

I went down the stairs and into the kitchen only to see my mom and eight year old sister Maddie already eating.

"Good morning "

"Good morning mum, Maddie "

"Hey Laura. " My sister said with her mouth full of pancakes.

I laughed at her silliness.

" So Laura, I'm gonna need for u to drop Maddie off to school. I've got to go to work like now, but I'll see u guys around six or so. Your dad's already left for work. Later girls. " My mom said kissing our heads.

"Bye" We both said in unison.

I heard the door shut and turned toward my little sister. I smiled and grabbed some pancakes and orange juice.

" Let's go. You'll eat in the car. " I said shuffling around trying to grab my book bag, keys, and wallet.

Maddie grabbed her stuff and headed out the door same time as me.

I unlocked the car door and put my stuff inside. I went to lock the house door, when I saw my neighbor Ross Lynch, who I just so happen to hate. We sent glares to each other and continued on with our lives.

You guys are probably wondering why we hate each other. Well it all started two years ago.

We were the best of friends. We were both nerds and got bullied. One day puberty hit Ross. Hard. He got invited to be apart of the populars and left me there to get bullied and tortured. We had a huge fight and haven't spoken to each other since. Now we're both popular.

I'm the good kind of popular like the ones who actually help people.

Ross decided to go down the wrong road and he actually bullies people.

Anyway enough about that.

(Ten minutes later)

I already dropped Maddie off and I'm now parked in front of East Coast High. At the same time, Olivia parks on the side of me.

Now let me describe Olivia. She's the kind of girl u don't want to mess with. She's very protective and she knows how to make a good come back. I wouldn't say she's girly but she's not tomboyish either. Kinda in between.
We've been friends for four years.

"Hey Livvy. "

"Hey laury"

We both get out of the car, share a five minute hug and walk inside school together. Like always.

Like always, we receive envy from girls, stares from boys, and nods from teachers.

We go to our lockers and pick out our history books for first period.

We close our lockers and turn around, only to see the faces of the two boys we can't stand the most.

Ross Lynch and Leo Howard.

We give them small, fake smiles and try to walk past them. Key word try.

"Hey babe." They say in unison.

"We're not your babes. "Liv

"We'll never like u idiots. "Me

"We're not dating."Liv

"And we never will" Me

"So get out of our way. " We both said in unison.

"Fine" They said in unison.

They reluctantly move out of our but not without a quick peck on the cheek.

We both turn around and meet them with a slight blush on their cheeks.

" We go through this every day. Aren't you ever tired of it? " I say.

The boys stay silent as liv continues.

"You guys left us two years ago on this exact day. Does that ring any bells? U guys ditched us and now your just bothering us like nothing ever happened. "

I finish what she was saying because I could already see the tears forming in her eyes and running down her cheeks.

"U left us by ourselves to be tortured and bullied. Now that we're popular u wanna come running back to us. It doesn't work that way. U guys promised to be our friends forever and protect us. It's a shame that we ever liked u. "  We shook our heads in disbelief and walked away.

"I can't believe them. " Liv said.

"Me neither. "

(At cheer practice after school)

I get changed into my cheerleading uniform and stretch before the actually practice starts. Suddenly a figure appears on the side of me. Thinking its liv, I begin to tell her the plan for today.

"So liv, I was thinking maybe we could do a rou-" My sentence gets cut off as I see liv talking to Leo across the room. I was about to walk over there but a hand stops me.

I look to my side and see Ross there with a rose in his hand.

"If u think u could make up two years of MIA friendship with a rose, then think again. "

"No Laura. Just hear me out. All I'm asking for is five minutes of your time. "

I look over at Liv and see her hugging Leo and then they lean in for a kiss. My heart melts at the sight. Whatever Ross is about to say, I know it's gonna be interesting.

I turn my head back to Ross.

"You've got five minutes. " I say giving in.

"Laura, I love u. More than a friend and I'm not just saying this because you've gotten popular. I've loved u for six years and I've never stopped. The only reason I left u was because I thought that not being around u was the only way to get rid of my feelings because I thought you wouldn't like me back. I'm Sorry for all the pain I've put you through and I hope you can forgive me. " He says out of love and hope.

"I will give u another chance Ross, but anymore mistakes and your outta here. " We both laugh together just like the old days.

"And? " He says full of hope.

I crack a smile and immediately know what he's talking about.

I connect my lips with his and we stay there until we both need oxygen again.

"I love u too Ross. "
