Chapter 26🌹

"No, no, no, you all are not my brothers!" she exclaimed vehemently, her voice quivering with a mix of shock and denial. The revelation in the file had shattered her perception of reality, and she was unwilling to accept the truth that had been presented to her. The room seemed to close in as her emotions swirled in turmoil, and her declaration hung in the air like a resolute protest against a world turned upside down.

Ratri's voice echoed through the house as she shouted at Mr. Abhay Singhania,

"I'm an ORPHAN, DID YOU UNDERSTAND, MR. ABHAY SINGHANIA?" Her words were filled with anger and frustration, and she had reached a breaking point. She felt completely numb, having navigated the twists and turns of life entirely on her own. She had grown up an orphan, fending for herself without anyone to rely on. Now, when she had learned to live alone, why was her family suddenly reappearing in her life?

"God, why do you have such a grudge against me? Every time I turn around, you throw new troubles my way," Ratri exclaimed dramatically while looking up at the sky and raising her hands in exasperation.

She then ran from the scene, and Abhay, Anay, Arav, Rahul, and Ruday chased after her.

Ratri was sprinting down the stairs, determined to get away from there. But as she rushed down the stairs, her foot slipped, and for a moment, she thought she was about to fall. She closed her eyes in fear, expecting the worst. However, to her surprise, she didn't fall. Someone had caught her just in time.

When she opened her eyes, she found herself being held by a man who appeared to be around 50 years old. She looked into his eyes, grateful for being saved. "Thank you," she said to him, her voice filled with sincerity. "Can you please release me now?"

But before the man could respond, Ratri quickly broke free from his grip and started running again. She was determined to get away from her family and the chaos that had suddenly entered her life.

Meanwhile, Abhay, Anay, Arav, Rahul, and Ruday had reached the living room, only to find that Ratri was not there. Confused and concerned, they gathered around the dining table where the rest of the family was seated.

It was at this moment that the bodyguards entered with Ratri in tow. They had managed to catch up with her and bring her back to the family gathering. Ratri stood there, her expression a mix of defiance and frustration, as she faced her family once again.

"Hello again, my little sister, have you completed your jog?" Abhay taunted Ratri as she stood there, her frustration palpable.

Ratri's anger flared up even more as she retorted, "Why don't you just leave me alone?"Their exchange of words had drawn the attention of Namita Singhania, Abhay's mother, who inquired, "Who are you, young lady, and why are you shouting in our house?"Ratri, feeling unfairly singled out, replied sharply, "Why don't you ask your sons, ma'am, why I am shouting?"

Confused by the situation, Namita turned to Abhay, asking, "Abhay beta, what's going on? Why is this girl shouting, and who is she, and what is she doing here?"

Abhay, aware of the impending arrival of his grandfather, Mr. Singhania Sr., replied, "Mom, you will get answers to all your questions once Dadaji arrives. Everything will become clear."

Nivedita, who had been called to the Singhania house for breakfast earlier in the morning under the pretext of an important discussion, was growing increasingly anxious. She couldn't fathom why Ratri was here and why Abhay seemed to be keeping her in the dark. Nivedita thought about the consequences of her actions and wondered what would happen if her secrets were revealed to the family. She had no way of knowing that Ratri was privy to her actions and was prepared to confront her.

As tension mounted in the room, an eerie silence fell, broken only by the sound of approaching footsteps. The rhythmic thud of shoes against the floor grew louder and clearer, heralding the arrival of an important figure.

Suddenly, the room fell into complete silence, and all eyes turned towards the entrance. It was Mr. Singhania Sr., the patriarch of the family, a man of wisdom and authority. His presence demanded respect and commanded attention. His face was marked with experience and knowledge, and he had seen many ups and downs in life.

With measured steps, Mr. Singhania Sr. walked into the room, his gaze sweeping across the faces of his family members. He had an air of calm and confidence that instantly put everyone at ease, yet there was an unmistakable gravity in his demeanor.

Nivedita felt a lump in her throat as she saw him, wondering how he would react to the unfolding situation. Abhay, on the other hand, had been waiting for this moment to bring the truth to light. He knew that once his grandfather was informed of what had been happening, there would be no turning back.

Mr. Singhania Sr. finally broke the silence that had engulfed the room. He questioned the unusual gathering and the identity of the young lady, Ratri, as he made his way to the front. As Ratri turned to face him, her eyes widened in recognition, and she exclaimed, "Mr. Handsome." Her words carried a mix of delight and trepidation, for she had known him for many years.

Ram Singhania couldn't help but chuckle as he affectionately smacked her on the head.

"Where the hell have you been all these years, young lady?" he asked.

Ratri retorted playfully, "What do you mean, 'where'? I've been right here. And why do you always have to smack me on the head? This head has solved so many cases, you know, and it's the one running my humble little home. By the way, how am I supposed to know who you are? You just waltzed into Singhania Mansion, smacked me on the head, and called me 'Mr. Handsome.' Talk about a lack of respect!"

The Singhania family members were utterly shocked by the casual banter unfolding before their eyes. Especially Urmila Singhania, the matriarch of the family, was taken aback. But the younger generation was most astonished, as the person everyone typically regarded with reverence and fear was being casually chatted up by Ratri, as if they were old pals.

Ram Singhania, unable to contain a smile, replied,

"Alright, alright, no need for theatrics. So, why were you making such a racket? Well, not that I expect you to be quiet, but do tell us what brought you here."

Ratri's playful demeanor softened as she began to explain the events of the morning, gradually revealing the secrets that had come to light and the reason for her unexpected appearance at Singhania Mansion. The room was filled with a mixture of astonishment and amusement, as the family realized that they were in for an unusual ride with the return of their spirited and unconventional acquaintance.

"She is the daughter of this house ,Ratri Singhania." Abhay Said.
