CaveClan

Clan Name: CaveClan. Alright!

Clan Name Reasoning: They live in caves on the side of a gorge. Also, the founder was named Cavelight/star. Okay, cool.

Territory: Mainly a huge gorge with an elaborate cave system etched into the walls. A river flows at the bottom, which the cats fish at. They'll also go onto the surface, where there are trees to the north and flat fields to the south. A special cave is a good length away from the other caves... it seems that only the leader and medicine cats go in there. Near the trees is a place called the Moss Patch. This is where apprentices train sometimes. Cool, I like the details!

Clan's camp: Many connecting caves, with the first being a large, enclosed area used for the camp's "main chamber". Here they have their fresh kill pile, a small stream that runs through the back, used to drink from and soak moss. There's also a huge rock, partially connected to the ceiling. The leader stands on this to address his/her clan. From the main chamber, there are multiple corridors. One leads to the warrior's den, and further down the corridor is the apprentice's den. Another corridor leads to the nursery, one to the elder's den, and one to the deputy's den, and in the same corridor past the deputy's den is the leader's den. Connected directly to the main chamber is the medicine cat den. And sprinkled around the camp is a bunch of glowing, multicoloured crystals, used for both a light source and warrior ceremonies. I like the detail of the glowing crystals! In one of my Clans, BleakClan, their underground camp/cave has glowing lichen hanging from the ceiling and above den entrances for light.

I'm going to give a note about all of the Clanmembers here. The extravagantly coloured markings are, obviously, quite unrealistic. I know you're probably not going for realism with them, but more natural colours like white, black, brown, gray, cream, ginger or even silver would overall look more pleasing and would correspond better with the natural fur tones of a typical cat. A gray cat, for example, with bright pink dots just clashes. And do they say anything about the cat, or are they random? Sure, they match with the luminescent crystals, but seeing a cat with bright red ears or green triangles just wouldn't look right. Maybe have them only appear under the light of certain crystals, but not in daylight/moon/star shine?

Clan Lore: Once upon a time, Cavelight was a beautiful white she-cat who used to live along the five clans, ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, ShadowClan, and SkyClan. One day, Cavelight was banished from her clan because her brother, Stormcaller, framed her for the murder of their parents and three little sisters. News of Cavelight's banishment spread very fast, and she was soon kicked out of the clan's territory forever. Feeling that she had nowhere else to go, she prayed to StarClan to guide her and send her somewhere where she could make a home. StarClan heard her prayers and answered them, sending her along, and using glowing mushrooms to bring her to a canyon, which was far away from the clans. She would be safe there, and she recruited the nearby wild cats into her new clan, CaveClan. Cavelight, now Cavestar, decided that the clans meant well, and they were just simply fooled by her brother's malice. Instead of threatening war on them, she spread peace and kept their warrior code, while making minor adjustments. She taught her kin about how the clans were marvellous and that they needed to uphold their honour of them. CaveClan moved into the canyon, making the caves their home. StarClan felt that to have CaveClan in total darkness while in their home would be cruel, and decided to bestow a gift onto the new group. Bioluminescent crystals appeared throughout the camp, lighting everything up in brilliant colours. StarClan made the vow that wherever CaveClan went if it moved on from this camp, it would always have light. The cats all quickly adapted to their new surroundings, each gaining a unique mark from StarClan's gift of light once they became a warrior, always brightly coloured. However, StarClan recognized the problem of there being no Moonstone. So, they created a separate cave, and inside was the Monocrystal. That's cool! It started off dark, but got really good! Being peaceful and not at all vengeful, is really nice. One question, who did actually murder three small children and their parents?

Clan Skills: Climbing, strength, agility, stamina, and intelligence. Alright.

Clan Demeanor: They're known as adventurous, brave, honourable, loyal, and peaceful. Okay

Clan's Favorite Prey: Rabbits, Shrews, Lizards, Snakes, Mice, Frogs, Sparrows, Fish (They always have a wide variety of food) Cool, it's good to have a variety

Unique Assets: Warrior Assessments- The typical Warrior Assessment is for a cat to navigate around the whole canyon/gorge and climb up the whole gorge on their own. Cool! Sort of like what the Ancients did with the tunnels.

Warrior  Ceremonies- The ceremony is held, the cats receive their names and swear loyalty to CaveClan, and after learning of their names, the cats go into a sort of trance. They subconsciously walk to a specific crystal, and touch their paw to it. After a few painful moments, bright, colourful markings have embedded themselves into the cat's fur. These markings come in all colours, excluding black, brown, or white. And they can be something small and simple as a couple little marks in their tails or faces, or something as large as swirls covering their entire pelt. Okay, but why are the markings necessary? What do they imply/do? If they're just there for show, that's a bit strange/unnecessary.

Kits- Medicine Cats and Leaders can now have kits if the following is met:1. The leader must have a deputy who's able to cover for them until they can return to their duties. This also is beneficial to the deputy, giving them a chance to learn what it'll be like as a leader. 2. Medicine cats must have AT LEAST an apprentice who can support the clan on their own until the medicine cat can return to their duties. Alright.

Apprentices- Instead of Warrior Apprentices only learning warrior skills, they are required to learn some very basic medicine cat skills, like how to apply cobwebs. Okay, I think that exists in the main books (or used to) At one point.

Deputies- In order for the deputy to become leader, they must have done something noble in their life. If the cat is filled with hate and cruelty, StarClan will not grant the cat its name and nine lives, and the cat must choose someone else to become a leader and choose a deputy. If the cat changes its evil ways or does something honourable, and the cat is "pure" again, it will be able to be made leader. What would that noble thing be? Saving a life, preventing/winning a battle, etc?

Other Clans Around Them: None. How far away are they from the main five Clans?

Clan's Code/Rules: Pretty much the same as the original five clans, except for the stuff listed before. Okay.

Extra: CaveClan cats have an accent similar to the tribe's. This has developed due to the way the caves echo, so the cats have learned to speak in a different way. Cool!

Overall, CaveClan is pretty solid! With a few small adjustments, they could be nearly perfect. They get a 7/10. Thank you so much for submitting.
