Name: Sunshine. Okay! It's a very cute name.

Clan: ShadowClan. Cool, you usually don't see cats with happy/cute-sounding names in ShadowClan!

Gender: She-cat. Okay.

Sexuality: Straight. Cool!

Appearance: Shiny light golden she-cat with faint mackerel tabby stripes. She's blind in her left eye, and her right is light green. She has thick, medium-length fur. I can see where she got her name. A few more details would be nice, though.

Personality: Shy, caring, adventurous, quiet, forgives too easily, too trusting, easily bored, reckless. She sounds pretty well-rounded! The addition of being easily bored is nice. 

Mate: None. Great! It's so refreshing to see a Medicine Cat that doesn't have some big forbidden relationship or kits. 

Kits: None. Same note as above.

Kin: 

Mother: Dewshine. (A gray spotted tabby she-cat with amber eyes. Alive) Cool! I like her name.

Father: Hawkflight. (Golden-brown classic tabby tom with bright green eyes. Alive) Alright. I can tell where Sunshine got the majority of her physical characteristics. 

Littermates: 

Juniperkit. (Light brown tabby she-cat. Deceased.) Poor little thing! How did she die?

Daykit. (Pale gray tom with pale blue eyes. Deceased.) Oh no, poor guy.

Fishkit. (Light gray tabby tom. Deceased.) Jeez, Sunkit lost all of her siblings! I would assume that would have a pretty big impact on her life. Past trauma or a hesitation to get attached to/love other cats, maybe? 

Future death: Hit by a monster. A big generic, but if it's written and explained well, it's fine. Why was she on a Thunderpath?

Past ranks: Kit, apprentice, medicine cat apprentice. Okay. I assume she was a Warrior apprentice first? 

Good traits: Caring, adventurous, quiet. Quiet can go as a good or bad trait. How quiet is she? Like, barely speaking, or just a bit less talkative than others? 

Bad traits: Reckless, too trusting, too forgiving, reckless. Alright.

On the lower side, for sure. But they all make sense! 

Likes: Healing cats, the sun, kits, walks in the woods, her family/friends, her clan, stargazing. Normal things to like. 

Dislikes: Battle, cats that don't like kits, negativity, running out of herbs, leaf-bare, sickness. Alright!

Scars: She has a scar on her shoulder and some on her left eye. Okay, cool. Is she blind in that eye?

Backstory: Sunkit was born to Dewshine and Hawkflight along with her sister, Juniperkit, and her brothers, Daykit and Fishkit. She got along well with her littermates and the other kits in the nursery. When she was four moons old, a sickness swept through the camp, killing her littermates. After this, Dewshine became over-protective of Sunkit. Poor babies! That's horrible. But it's a bit surprising/suspicious that three young kits died, and not the main character. There's got to be a reason for her not being struck down like her siblings, such as a super strong immune system, a long and careful quarantine, or maybe she did get sick, but was pulled from the brink of death. If there's no reason, it's just unfair plot armour. 

At six moons, Sunkit was apprenticed to Gullcry as Sunpaw. He was strict and over-pushed her to do her training. About a moon after becoming an apprentice, she fell from a tree during training. Her left eye got scratched by a sharp stick, blinding her and leaving scars. Sunpaw was forced to become a medicine cat and found that she enjoyed it more than being a warrior. Her new mentor was Duskshade who was much kinder than Gullcry.  Ouch. At least she was happier as a Medicine Cat!

When she became a full medicine cat, she earned the name Sunshine. Just after the ceremony, a fox jumped out and attacked the medicine cats, giving Sunshine the scar on her right shoulder. Duskshade was gravely injured during the battle and later died of her wounds. Sunshine was filled with grif but still remained a good medicine cat for her clan. She would later die instantly when hit by a monster when she would be 57 moons old. That's sad. Did she have an apprentice to carry on her legacy after she died? If not, then ShadowClan would be in a lot of trouble. And what was she doing on the Thunderpath? Running across, standing too close, helping an injured loner, etc? 

Mentors: Gullcry (Black and white tom with green eyes.) and Duskshade. (Very dark blue-gray she-cat with silver eyes.) Okay.

Overall, Sunshine is a very solid OC! With a few small details, she could be essentially perfect. She gets a 8.8/10! Thank you so much for submitting.
