Alright, to start it off, Hiccup obvs already has a partner, his lovely gf - Astrid, and much as people would think their relationship is toxic, or "falling for the bully" type- it's really not. And boi, if you think Merida being a princess would stop her from possibly-maybe-not abusing Hiccup, then you dead wrong.

Anyway, reasons. For one, I have very very VERY good reason to believe that Merida is aroace, or demi, or at the very least, lesbian. She made it very VERY clear that she finds NO INTEREST in men, ESPECIALLY the weak and scrawny ones, and Hiccup's teen form is VERY weak and scrawny. She certainly wouldn't like him.

And then there's Hiccup, who has a thing for hot strong chicks but only the one, Astrid. Has had a crush on her for AGES and you really think he'd give it away now that he has her? They're MARRIED. And adorable together. They have children and just-
