Alright, so this ship is rather cute, I love how it went from Hiccup crushing on Astrid, before he gained popularity and Astrid got jealous of him, and then she found put about Toothless, and freaked out! And nearly killed the creature before Hiccup gave her a ride, and just-

YOU COULD ACTUALLY PINPOINT THE EXACT MOMENT THEIR HEARTS BEGAN TO BEAT AS ONE AND IT IS JUST LOVELY!!

Now, I won't say that Astrid fell in love with him in the "Romantic Flight" scene, but I dare say that she definitely began to admire him then - And NOT when he gained popularity because it was OBVIOUS that she HATED him more then and was more on the line of VERY JEALOUS THAN IN LOVE - and it was rather sweet to see her relax at the back of a creature that she's been taught to hate so much. It's just, it was beautiful, everything in the first movie.

And not just that! I adore how she ends up being the source of motivation for most of Hiccup's actions! I love that she inspires him and tells him how he has the stupidest yet most amazing ideas, and how she decided to tell him to save the others, and how she's always ready to risk her life for him.

It's just beautiful. And I'm unsure how one could hate this ship. It's lovely and a joy. And it makes me think of the Ineffable Husbands or DnP every now and again- though the other two still reign superior. XD
