Uhhhhhhhh, fanon yes, cannon no. Like, cannon Kaito is a homophobic, slightly toxic, and a piece of shit who just won't look at any other view point than his own. That isn't good for Kokichi who needs to work on his own stuff. Fannon Kaito though is understanding, usually either gay or bi, and a really cool and chill friend. The problem with the fannon one is that I'm scared Kokichi would lean on him too much for support and Kaito would break from the pressure and Kokichi wouldn't know he's hurting his loved one. Am I over thinking? Probably. Also, communication would be an issue.
