The Beatles - Abbey Road
(This album is a masterpiece, it's my favorite usage of synthesizers)
✌
Come Together: the lyrics are mostly nonsense. Iconic drums and good bass. 6/10
Something: Very nice lyrics, you can feel the love, such a hypnotic guitar solo - takes me to another world mentally. 10/10
Maxwell's Silver Hammer: A happy sounding song for such dark lyrics. Great rhyming though such as valerie/gallery - quizzical/pataphysical - school again/fool again , etc. 9/10
Oh! Darling : very 50s/60s pop, it has good words and Paul has a great rasp in his voice. But it's a little boring sometimes. 8/10
Octopus's Garden: love the lyrics, very imaginative and gives a good mental picture of not caring about the world because you are in the safe shade of a garden with your friends. Great singing, good music and drums. 10/10
I Want You (She's So Heavy): not many lyrics, but has a good sneaky kind of sound at the end. Kinda vibes. 6/10
Here Comes The Sun : the lyrics are really pleasant, makes me calm, it's very hopeful, the metaphorical winter is very George. Amazing music, the guitar has a nice tone. 10/10
Because : beautiful harmonies, sounds classical, interesting instruments. I like it a lot. 9/10
You Never Give Me Your Money : lovely melody, good words. I like the counting part and it goes through lots of interesting chords. 8/10
Sun King: nice chord changes, lots of wah-wah pedal. But what they sing in Italian (?) Is kind of nonsense. Makes me kinda sleepy. 7/10
Mean Mr Mustard : I like it a little, nice music but it's not their best. Again, good wordplay. 6/10
Polythene Pam: even worse, it's more boring than mustard. They go together fine though. 5/10
She Came In Through The Bathroom Window : clever words, I like the music a lot. As always Ringo's drumming is great - never bad . 8/10
Golden Slumbers : beautiful melody. It is based off a nursery rhyme, but still good. Has to be played with the next two songs though, Paul's voice is nice even when he starts singing loudly. 9/10
Carry That Weight : very catchy, I like the lyrics. It repeats the melody of YNGMYM which ties it together. 9/10
The End: also not many words, but the music is good. It has that iconic love line at the end ("and in the end, the love you take...") Drum solo is nice - I like the 'love you' part. 8/10
Her Majesty: a little bit heart of the country vibes, not great lyrics. 4/10
BONUS:
Goodbye: a beautiful Paul song, love his voice on it and the acoustic guitar. Classic Paul McCartney sound.
