Paul McCartney - McCartney III
(Not too bad for a modern album, actually. I don't love a lot of Paul's solo stuff (like, sure, but love? Depends. A few albums.) And I don't prefer his pitch-corrected/auto-tuned voice.
Props to Paul, though, for playing almost all the instruments except drums and the guitar on track seven.)
Long Tailed Winter Bird: it's kind of cool, for a bit at least. Not much to say. 4/10
Find My Way: I actually like it somewhat, not great, but it is pop music. A good melody. 7/10
Pretty Boys: the theme is pretty obvious. On the word "touch" his accent comes through. Also fits in with modern pop. Nice melody. 6/10
Women and Wives : I don't like this very much. It's not very strong in my opinion. 2/10
Lavatory Lil: this one has an interesting tune, kind of fun. Just all right, though. But catchy! 4/10
Deep Deep Feeling: it's a very humanly relatable song. But very repetitive and also 8½ minutes long. ("The Prophet's Song" by Queen is the same length, but does more musically) 2/10
Slidin': blues-rock. It's fine, pretty catchy. 5/10
Kiss Of Venus: is classic Paul; doing what he did on 'RAM' and 'McCartney', for example—singing the guitar part while playing it. Very good chord progression. It sounds like it could belong on his debut solo album. 8/10
Seize The Day + Deep Down: I've put these as two, because I don't have anything to say about either, besides the fact I don't like them. 2/10 for both.
Winter Bird/When Winter Comes: very gentle acoustic song. It's actually really pretty sounding. The beginning shares part of the first track's intro. Ties the end and start together. 8/10.
