At Marline's Orphanage
Kate's POV

I woke up 6 am so I can get ready to go to the library. I got up and took my bell sleeve denim dress and peach converse. I looked at my key necklace on around my neck. I wear this because this was the last gift my parents gave me. I don't know who they are but they must've had a reason to leave me here. I have lived here for 12 years.

I want to try to find a home or somewhere so I can search for my parents. I don't like living here. I have friends here that are orphan. They're name's are Annie,Nora,Piper,Riley,Nicole and Serena.
.This girl name Madison really don't like me.But I'm only friends with her since she's friends with my friends.Ms.Willbert is the caretaker.She gives us money that was from the government that she supposed to use take care of us. I got my share of the money from her.Anyways I first took a bath standing up since this bathroom was used a lot. I dried off with the towel and put my singlet then my dress and shoes. I went to out of the bathroom and went to the kitchen and made a boiled egg sandwich. I ate it then went outside with my brown bag that had all my stuff. I wasn't running away from the Orphanage I put note on the fridge saying I went to the library. I went outside waiting for a bus at the bus stop.The bus came and I went on. I fell asleep as soon as I got bored looking at the window.

*DREAM START*

I was in a forest looking to see I was next to a lake. I sat on the grass watched lily pads moved around suddenly something sprang up to the surface of the water and splashed water on me. I closed my eyes then opened them to see a girl that looks a bit older than me.She had blue hair with ocean blue eyes.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"That's not really important right now not please listen to me go to the library that your heading right now and find a brown book called Unknown with gold letters, buy it and get the key from Miss Bookworm okay?"the girl said.

"Well okay but-"I say but get cut off with water going in my face.

*DREAM OVER*

Still Kate's POV

"But why?" I mumbled waking up and saw I was at my stop. I went out of the bus and went inside the library. It was normal one I usually go to. I went to the lady by the counter who had short brown blonde highlighted hair and wearing glasses."Excuse me" I said.She looks at me."Hey hunny muffin"The lady said.She a very nice style.

Miss Bookworm's outfit

"Are you Miss Bookworm?"I asked.

"Yes Hunny"She said.
"Where can I find a book called Unknown? It's brown with gold letters"I said.
"Here"the lady said after looking for it on high shelf."Can have the key?"I said."Here"She said giving me a two keys together."Why two?"I asked.She was hesitant but says"It's another important key you need". I took the keys and put it in my bag.I got the book and looked at it.

I should read this at the Orphanage. I put the book in my bag and got a ride on bus back home.As soon as I arrived I got off the bus and open the back door to the apartment."Where have you been?"Nora said.

Third Person Point of View

"Put letter on the fridge door that says I went to the library" I said."Oh"Nora says in relief.Kate went the dinning room sat the table.She got the book and key out and unlocked the book with the key.She started to read the note she found on the book.

Dear Kate Heart,

Please my daughter read this note and book to find about everything you need to learn.You have to find the cottage in the forest where you were found in when you were born. I hope your still alive and well just stay strong .

Kate's POV
I don't know who wrote this but it must of been for me since it has my name. I then read the first page of the book. It says there is cottage in the forest I use to play in with the other girls.

I closed the book and locked it with the key. I put the book and key in my bag."What was that in your hand?"Riley asked."Just a book, don't touch okay?do you know where Ms.Willert hide are background files?" I asked."No but Nicole knows"Riley said."Okay"I said."Why you ask?"Riley ask. I'm good at lying."Nothing" I said."Okay"Riley says going in the bathroom. I went out of apartment to the Ms.Willbert's office.She fell asleep. It was my chance to sneak my birth certificate and my background files. I went her draw quietly taking my files and birth certificate from the top and bottom drawer. I left quietly. I read my birth certificate to see unknown for parents name and nationality.Strange.I look at my background files. It said that a middle age man found this child in the forest after he was hunting for rabbit and deer.Things still don't add up. I need to go the cottage but in the night time.

I then put the papers in my bag. I must not be from here... I just need to find my home time then I'll be able to find my parents. I just have to wait for the right time.Even if I don't find my parents I'll find somewhere better this place.There's hardly any food or any clothes here.Most of the clothes cost a lot at shops .Shirts $12.34 for one shirt and jeans $19.99 for one pair of jeans.$24.44 for one pair shoes. I have enough clothes to were for a week. I need to get all girls things cause I sense something bad going to happen.

Time Skip

Kate and girls were at the mall eating lunch the got from the fast food from the buffay."Kate you hardly ate can you stop reading that book already?"Piper said annoyed."Fine"Kate said shutting and locked the lock of the book."What's so important that dumb book?"Madison said negatively."None of business, nothing you would understand"Kate said.This made the other girls more curious."Oh My God!"Serena said as looked her phone."What is it?"Nicole said."The Orphanage burn down!"Serena said.All girls looked shocked."My teddy bear!"Riley said."My favorite blanket!"Annie said. Kate took out they're precious things they held precious to them."Thanks Kate"The girls said."Where are we going to live?"Madison said crying ."I found a place"Kate said.

Time Skip

"Isn't this the old forest we use to play in?"Nicole said.

"Yeah but there's house here"Kate said.

They reached to the small cottage in the forest.

"This is it?"Madison said sarcastically and shocked.

"It's too small for all of us"Piper said.

"Do you have any other options?"Kate said.

Piper got quiet.

Kate opened the door with the other key she had.

They put they're blankets out and pillows.Kate gave them soup that she bought from the restaurant she went to.They all then went to sleep.
