"So, we really can just get any upgrade we want?" Brax asked tilting his head to the side. Kappa nodded. "And you'll just give it to us? Free of charge?" Corra asked, raising a brow and doing her signature smolder of suspicion. Kappa sighed, "Please listen to me. I know what it may sound like, and it looks too goid to be true. But I assure you that we are not trying to decieve you. We merely wish to assist you in your goal of defeating Dr. Nefarious." Kappa explained. Theta took a step forward. "Come one guys. We're offering you any upgrades of your choosing and designs according to your specifications. Whatever it is you want we'll give it to you. All you have to do is ask." Theta said trying to keep the suspicions down.

Everyone looked at each other with an unsure look. Although they had been excited, they weren't stupid either. For all they know they were probably being lead into a trap. The upgrades might backfire on them or their technology might be hacked. "I think we should give Omega his upgrade first. Maybe that will put all suspicions to rest. After all, if you were to sabotage him in any way, we could all just beat you up if we wanted. Does that sound fair everyone?" (Y/n) asked, putting his hands on his hips and standing in between the Lombax's and the Ranger's. Everyone looked at each other and nodded. "So long as you stay true to that promise right (Y/n)?" Dickey asked. The burgundy lombax nodded. "Of course Dickey. Whatever you wish." He said turning to look at Kappa and Theta. "I assume these are agreeable terms for you two as well?" He asked.

Kappa and Theta looked at each other and nodded. "As long as we can all be civil about this then it's acceptable." Kappa said. "Now, if you please, Omega. We can begin the upgrade procedure whenever you wish." The black lombax said awaiting his friend's answer. Omega walked up the steps towards his friend in front of the lab. "Of course Kappa, whenever you are ready." Omega said giving a small smile. Kappa and Theta smiled. "Well, let's go then! Come on everyone!" The cyan lombax said taking Omega by the paw and leading him into the lab. The lab's automatic sliding doors opened and closed behind them as they giddily walked inside. "Whenever you're ready, you may enter. (Y/n)." Kappa said as he and the burgundy lombax walked towards the lab doors. "Hey! Wait up! I wanna see the procedure!" Ratchet called after them, running to catch up with the two lombax's. The trio walked into the lab, and the rest stood outside.

Corra turned to the rest of the group. "You guys don't actually believe any of this do you?" She asked crossing her arms. Clank tapped his chin. "It is all very suspicious indeed. But I do not believe they are attempting to decieve us. After all, their technology is far more advanced than anything we have currently." Clank said looking up at the group. "The little guy's right. They have all the power in the world to just erase whenever they want. If that's what they wanted, why bother leading us into a trap when they could simply annihilate us on the spot?" Brax asked raising his hands in a "why not" gesture. "Although all of this sounds like actual bullshit, Brax does have a point. Let's put ourselves in their shoes. If we could just simply eradicate Dr. Nefarious whenever we wanted, why would we bother with planning and missions when we could just launch a full on invasion and blow the bitch to hell in one hit?"  Dickey asked standing beside Brax.

Clawsha put her paw on Corra's shoulder. "'Corra, I understand your suspicions, and healthy skepticism is always welcome. However, the worst thing that these guys have done to us is lock us in a conference room with these two hotheads." She said quite bluntly. Brax and Dickey perked up. "Hey! We're not that bad!" The two shouted in unison. Clawsha ignored them and continued, "As sketchy as this all is we should give them a chance. After all, we might just get some pretty cool weapons in our arsenal. And if they do happen to be tricking us, we'll just put a bunch of holes in their body." Clawsha finished with a sadistic smile. "That's a little dark." Brax said with an unamused grimace.  Corra sighed and turned her head to Elaris. "What do you think Elaris?" She asked. Elaris smiled. "On one hand, this whole upgrade thing is far too good to be true, on the other hand this sounds awesome. Think of all the cool gadgets we could create, and they're essentially giving us pieces of their tech for free upon request. I say we go for it." Elaris said with an excited and giddy smile on her face. She was bouncing up and down, presumably imagining all the amazing weapons and gadgets she was going to create. Clank looked up at Elaris and back at the group. "Well then it's decided. Let's get inside before we miss the procedure. I wonder this supposed upgrade is." Clank said as he and the rest walked up the stairs and into the lab.

The group walked in to see Omega sitting down in a life sized cylinder leaning against the wall. Kappa was typing on a console next to the cylinder as it closed and the high pitched squeaking signaled that the air seals had been activated. This time, a black material covered the outside of the cylinder, censoring the glass from unwanted peeping eyes. "For this procedure I'm going to have to ask you all go take a few steps back. Unwanted DNA may interrupt the procedure and cause unintended consequences." Kappa said still typing away at the console. "What's the censorship for?" Corra asked. "This particular procedure can be very graphic, especially for our little robotic friend here. I believe it's best if you do not witness what will happen. Rest assured he will come out unharmed, but the process requires going inside his circuitry and wiring." The group took a step back and watched as several tubes with syringes lowered from holes in the ceiling and inserted themselves into built in air-tight holes on the side of the cylinder.

The fluid flowed from the tubes and into the cylinder, filling up the inside with green liquid and giving the cylinder a green glow, despite the dark material covering the outside of the glass. Corra telequipped her combuster behind her back. She didn't like this one bit. She glared suspiciously at the cylinder. Elaris side eyed what Corra was doing. She wanted to tell her off for being so obvious, but instead she merely retrained her gaze on the cylinder. Anothe hole appeared in the wall, this time next to the console. It was a container and it's seal opened. Kappa took out a small vial of grey fur. It had a small piece of tape on the side. It read, "For Omega". Kappa uncorked the vial and let the fur fall into the mini cylinder. The container sealed itself and retreated back into the wall, the hole sealing itself and replacing the wall as if it had never been there to begin with. The glow in the larger cylinder turned yellow and it started shining brighter than before. Corra narrowed her eyes.

Kappa began typing away at the console again as Theta walked towards the cylinder and stood beside it. The glow suddenly disappeared and the liquid drained from the cylinder. The material covering the glass was pulled away and revealed Omega... covered in fur. The cylinder unsealed itself as the glass door opened and Omega opened his eyes. Theta offered his paw and Omega took it, carefully stepping out of the cylinder and onto the polished lab floor. Everyone's eyes widened. Omega looked at himself. "Wait... am I?" Omega turned his head to Kappa who had finally turned away from the console. "Yes and no. Biological material has been attached to your exoskeleton to simulate a lombax's biology. You now have fur and muscle covering your robot body, but make no mistake. You are still very much a robot, this change was made to make your life a little easier. For example, the winds at the top height of the building shouldn't make you shiver anymore. There several other upgrades but we don't have time to go over them all. Right now however, don't we need to upgrade all of you?" Kappa asked as he turned to the rest of the group.

They all smiled widely and pumped their fists in the air. "Yeah!" They all shouted in unison. Kappa and Theta smiled along with Omega whonwas currently feeling up his new Lombax body. The fur and skin felt so real, he even had a proper tail this time. Corra looked at the ground in dejection. She willed away her combuster and looked at the ground. Of course they had been telling the truth, why did she have to be so damn skeptical of everything. These were Omega's friends and she was ready to blow them to bits. Kappa noticed Corra's staring down at the floor and took a step forward-- "Uh Omega? Shouldn't you put on some clothes?" Ratchet asked looking at the wall. Omega looked down at his body and his eyes widened. "AAHH!! Get out!" Omega shouted as everyone except the lombax's hurried out of the lab. "Why'd you give me legitimate genitalia?!" Omega questioned, holing his paws over his new cock of ehich was quickly hardening. Kappa grabbed some clothes that were off to the side. "It's to help you experience was sex is like." He stated ever so nonchalantly. "Is that why I feel so weird?!" Omega asked taking the clothes from him and immediately putting them on. He was now wearing a black tank top with yellow hexagons on it, and black pants with the same hexagon pattern at the bottom of the pant legs. They all walked outside and greeted the group. "Now off to the training arena! We can upgrade everything there." Theta said happily

The rest of the day was spent upgrading and customizing everyone's weaponsnand gadgets. Clank looked at his mechanical hands before they turned into a nozzle and started breathing flames everywhere. Elaris put on a new visor and put her finger up to it's side. It shot out a laser beam, slicing one of the arena's columns in half. Clawsha now had a chain with a weighted spike ball at the end if it. She spun it around and lunged at several holograms in front if her. The holograms shattered and Clawsha smiled down at her new weapon. Corra telequipped her combuster and aimed it at a hologram. She pulled the trigger and a lightning fast laser bolt shot from it, peircing the giant hologram in front of her and turning it to ash. Corra's eyes widened as she pointed her weapon to the ground.

Brax held out his arm and a wire launched forward and attached itself to the ceiling. In the next second, Brax was pulled upwards into the air. The wire detached and Brax curled himself into a ball. An outer shell appeared and covered him, growing spikes on the surface. The spiked ball that was Brax seemed to accelerate towards the ground and he slammed into a bunch explosives. They blew up around him, something that would've normally caused major at point blank range. However the shell disappeared and Brax stood up. He looked over his body, not a single scratched. "Yeah! I like this!" He yelled. Dickey had a segmented piece of armor covering his tail. He got on all fours and the armor suddenly launched forward, slicing several targets in fourths. Dickey smirked in satisfaction.

A small hologram was crying in the middle of the arena as several other holograms descended upon it. (Y/n) appeared and stabbed his Omnilance into the ground next to the crying hologram. A hard light shield extended from the weapon in the form of a large dome, stopping the other holograms in their tracks, forcing them to try and break it with brute force. Four  rectangular sections on the lance separated and slid down towards the ground, revealing several other pieces of metal under the carapace. The four pieces of metal flew out of the lance and attached themselves to (Y/n)'s arms and legs, forming gauntlets and high heeled metal boots. (Y/n) smirked as he cracked his knuckles. He lunged out of the dome force field and began putting his fists and feet through every hologram in sight. Ratchet pulled out his Omniwrench. The two bars at the head of it moved closer together and a blade made of hard light extended on each side, making a one handed battle axe. Ratchet ran forward and buried his axe into several robot's in front of him. None of them stood a chance against him and his new toy.

Kappa, Theta, and Omega were happily watching from the sidelines, enjoying the sight of how much fun the Ranger's were having. Corra walked up to them. "Hey guys." She said as she sat down beside them. "Hi Corra! How's your new gun?" Theta asked. Corra held it up. "It's fun, and quite effective." She said shooting a hologram in front of Brax and watching it turn to ash. "Corra!" Brax yelled in annoyance. Corra put away her weapon and sighed. "So, I guess I should apologize." She said looking at the ground. "Apologize for what?" Kappa asked. Corra looked at them. "For being suspicious of you guys." She said tilting her head at them. Kappa laughed, "Oh, it's quite alright. Frankly, if I were in your position, I wouldn't have trusted us either. Healthy skepticism never hurt anyone." The black lombax said wrapping his arm around Theta. "So we're cool? Just like that?" Corra asked half shocked at what Kappa said. "Yes, just like that. You have nothing to worry about in regards to this matter." Kappa responded. Corra sighed in relief. "Of course. However, if I found out that any of this is bullshit, I will blast you two pieces." Corra said pointing at Kappa with a threatening face. "We wouldn't have it any other way." Theta said nuzzling into Kappa's chest. "Ok. Glad that's settled. Can't wait to put that Dr. Nefarious out of commission." Corra said with a determined look on her face as she returned her attention towards the others. "The feeling is mutual." Kappa said also looking at the arena. Who knows what tomorrow has in store for them.
