This is how Lyla and Kaiko meet as kids in the orphanage.I plan on doing a comic....Enjoy!
"Third Person's POV"

Three figure hiding in the shadows at Meero Orphanage watching some of the other kids play.The figures were two nethers and one lombax,all three were close friends but were viewed as outcasts in the orphanage and we're mostly targeted by bullies but luckily they found ways to avoid or escape that type of danger.The nethers were siblings otherwise known as the Prog Twins,Vendra and Neftin Prog have stuck together since they first arrive always looking out for eachother.The lombax was Lyla Azimuth who escaped the attack of Fastoon and was now here,thanks to her she was able to help her nether friends or other kids get away from the bullies however being here had made her become so serious at a young age.
"Lyla's POV"

One of these days as soon as I turn 11 I will leave the orphanage and find my own home but not far from Ven and Nef their like siblings to me.I crossed my arms staring at the others and suddenly my ears perked when hearing running,it was Mr. Stockers he's one of the few teachers here nice to us.He was holding something and it look furry the other kids stopped playing and watched as he ran in his office,"Lyla no!" Vendra whispered me to as I walked away from the shadow approaching the door and listening I heard some mewing sounds until finally Mr. Stockers came out sighing in relief,he notice me and smiled while rubbing my head before approaching one of the small tables on the playground...what is it?
"Third Person's POV"

On the table was a very small kitten the size of a small toy ball,he had black and white fur along with some hair sticking up on his head.He had a bandage around his stomach and seemed extermly exhausted,his name was Pollen but he was in too much pain to start his name much less say a word.Lyla stared at the small feline curious she had never seen a cat before until now,two boys approached the cat and the two smiled at eachother menacingly.Lyla knew who they were they were one of the bullies here who picked on smaller kids,the boys pulled on the bow of the bandages claiming it was 'game' but Pollen meowed in pain and starting hissing and swiping at the boys.
"Lyla's POV"

My eyes widen when them hurt that poor kitten and I growled at this,I instantly stomped over there and pushed those boys away from that poor kitty"Hey!""Why don't you stay out of the Squirt?!" I ignored them and just scooped the little guy in my hands but those boys blocked me"Where do you think your going with our toy?" One of them grabbed my wrist and tried to pry it away but I was little ticked off from what he said " Your toy?" I sank my teeth on his hand and he let go whining,I quickly ran with the Prog Twins on my tail we got over to this secret part of the orphanage that had a high rock to prevent the bullies from reaching us so you can say this is where we sleep...now to help that poor kitty.
"Third Person's POV"

Lyla set the kitten on her pillow,seeing how it was breathing hard from his injury " You ok Lyla?""Yeah Nef just get me some nanotech" Neftin walked over to a box with ice in it,the box had not only nanotech but also some drinks like water or soda."We'll need a plate""I'm on it" Vendra got a small plate and set it down,Lyla cracked the nanotech pouring the bright neon blue liquid in the plate " Here it will make you feel better" she pushed the plate to the feline as he stared at her frightened " It's ok no one's gonna hurt you " the Prog Twins and Lyla got to the floor and smiled so that the kitten wouldn't be scared anymore.
"Lyla's POV"

He had some trouble reaching the plate so I got a small blanket,wrapped him in it and gently lifted him up and lowered him just,enough for his little mouth to reach the plate."What do we do with him?""We can't leave him on his own those bullies are gonna hurt him and he won't stand a chance..."as the twins spoke,I placed him back on the pillow and sat on my bed watching the two nethers talk...what do you with a cat?What would my parents say?I blinked when feeling the little guy rubbed against my leg and purr.I scratched his ear and he started playing with my fingers,I smiled finding it adorable and an idea popped up " We can keep him" the twins stopped talking a deep stared at me"Are you sure Lyla?" I nodded to Neftin as I picked up the little guy " I will take good care of him,think of him as a younger brother""What are you gonna name him?" I stared at him when Vendra asked that question...hmm...in Lombax, small is translated as Kaiko...that's it."I'm gonna name him Kaiko.What do you think little guy?" He licked my nose and I put him down on my lap " I'll take that as a yes.Welcome to the family"
