Meanwhile, in the castle courtyard, Rarity wearing a scullery maid outfit was busy scrubbing the tiles on the steps while humming a tune. She looked up at the castle, and sighed. She then dumped the water on the steps, and went to the well to get more water. She attached the bucket to the hook, and lowered it into the well. Once the bucket was filled with water, she pulled it back up and sat it on the well.

"Hiya Rarity!" Rarity look up and smiles to see the four servernts who became her friends, Rainbow Dash and her boyfriend, Sonic, AppleJack and her boyfriend, Casey Jones. "Hello darlings." Rarity said as she grabs her bucket after untied it. "Still workin' hard, eh? Still can't believe you used to say you don't want to touch anything dirty that would messy up your dress." Rainbow teases as she ties her bucket and throws it in the well. "Yes well. That was until my stepmother forced me to work, but it's a good thing because if she didn't, I would never learned how to clean and cook, even though my real mother taught me how to sew." Rarity said sadly as she stares at the ground, her friends frowns and Casey said, "Still missed them, huh?"

"Yes, I do. Ever since my parents passed away, that woman has been making things horrible for everyone." Rarity said, "Aww, don't worry sugarcube, I'm sure everything will be fine. After all, once she's gone, you'll take the throne and turn everything back to normal." "Yeah, don't lose hope." Sonic said, "You just gotta hang in there. We all will." "Thanks." Rarity said, "Well, we better get back to work before 'mommy dearest' finds out we're slacking off." The others nodded and the four went back to work.

Meanwhile inside the castle, Queen April was sitting on her throne, and talking to a man with a moderate sapphire blue man with moderate cerulean and dark phthalo streaks in it, moderate cerluean eyes, and a dark blueshield with a brillant rose star on it, and three light blue stars above it for his cutie mark named Shining Armor who served as the queen's huntsman while she's looking in her hand mirror.

"Take her far into the forest." Queen April said, talking about her stepdaughter. "Find some secluded glade where she can pick wildflowers." Shining Armor nodded and said "Yes, your majesty." "And there, my faithful huntsman, you will KILL her!" The Queen said smirking. "But, your majesty! The little princess!" Shining Armor said in shock. April stood up from her throne in anger and said "SILENCE!" April then took a few deep breaths, and said, "You know the penalty if you fail." Shining Armor reluctantly nodded and said, "Yes, your majesty." April then took out a box big enough for a heart, colored in red, and has a golden heart-shaped lock.

"But to make doubly sure you do not fail, bring back her heart in this." She said giving the box to Shining Armor, "Yes, your highness." "Then we understand each other. Now go!" She yelled as she threw her mirror at him, he doges as the mirror hits the ground and shatters and he then went out to find Rarity as the queen laughed evilly.

Later, Rarity and Shining Armor went to a glade full of wildflowers near the Everfree Forest. As Rarity picked the flowers, she started to hum a tune. "Oh what a beautiful glorious day. It's nice to finally take a break from working in the castle. Have you ever seen such a lovely sunny day, Shinning Armor?" Rarity asked. "Even the sunniest of days may have its dark clouds, your highness." Shinning Armor said, Rarity giggles and said, "Oh Shinning Armor, don't be so glum. You are beginning to sound just like my stepmother." Rarity said as she continues to pick more flowers. "I just wish I can find some way to make her happy." "You would not be so anxious to make the queen happy if you knew why she sent us here." Shinning Armor mutters to himself.

Rarity picks more flowers as she tries to think of an idea to make her stepmother happy. She gasps happily, "Idea! I can make a fabulous gown for my stepmother! Perhaps that will please her!" She said with a closed eye smile.

A shadow cast over her, Shinning Armor raises his dagger,

about to kill her. Rarity saw the shadow, turned around and said panicky as she drops her bouquet of flowers, "Shinning Armor?! What are you doing?!" "I..." Shinning Armor lowers his dagger, couldn't bring himself to kill her, "I cannot do it." he dropped it as Rarity asked worryingly, "Shinning Armor? What is it?"

"Run princess, run for your life!" Shining Armor said. "My life?" Rarity said confusingly, "What are you talking about?" "The queen... She is jealous of your beauty! She has ordered me to kill you!" Shinning Armor explains, "Kill me?" Rarity said in fear, "Your stepmother will do anything to see you dead!" "She wishes me dead?!" Rarity said, "I cannot believe this! This must be a mistake..."

"There is no mistake! You must leave! Run! Far as you can, go!" "But what about you?! If you disobey the queen?" Rarity said, worried about him and her friends back at the castle. "Run I say!" Rarity then said, "I shall not forget about you, Shinning Armor." "Nor will I, princess." "And will you please tell Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Sonic and Casey about this and kept them safe? I do not want any harm come to them. Especially from my stepmother." "Of course. Now quickly, you must go and never return." Not needing to be told twice, Rarity turned and took off running into the Everfree Forest.
