After the change of plans, multiple craft could be seen rapidly approaching the Midway Islands. A few Penguin Attacker/Fighter Bombers flew over the ocean, accompanied by Ultrahind Heavy Attack Helicopters and Ironsides.

In the Ironside crafts, multiple soldiers were getting geared up, including the AST Squadron. Grabbing a couple of grenades and her "Oldest" Gatling Gun, Ryouko waited for the rest of her team to gear up.

Ryouko: "Okay, everyone ready?"

AST Girls: "Yes Ma'am!!"

Suddenly, one of the helicopter pilots informed Ryouko that they were just a few minutes away from their destination, and asked her to get prepared.

Ryouko: "Thank you for the affirmation."

Helicopter Pilot: "No worries. Now let's save our leader!"

As they continued to reach their superiors, Bird was currently fighting Elena, blocking her mech's fist with his Hygogg's own arms. It then fired it's two machine cannons at her head, messing up the sensors to escape her grasp. The Hygogg then flew away, creating distance between it and the mech, and continued to suppress it with shots from the mega particle gun. Angel Blood and Aldia continued to fight her robot suit through close combat. However, the shipgirls began to provide support by firing at them, making this more difficult. With shells being fired from all sides, Angel Blood's own Acguy was critically damaged in the leg, causing it to fall onto the ground.

Aldia immediately begins to shield their comrade, and Bird goes into CQC once again, using the claws to Pierce through Elena's robot. In return, she delivers a punch to the Mobile Suit, and was just about to follow up with another one before bombs were dropped onto her.

The Bombers had arrived at last, providing assistance by bombing the field, injuring the shipgirls as they attempted to look for cover. The Helicopters then moved in, firing at any shipgirls trying to offer any more support.

Among the carnage, Javelin and Laffey hid behind pieces of concrete and other debris, left horrified as Raptor Machina bombed their friends.

Javelin: "I-It's useless.." (sobbing) "I don't want to do this, I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS!!"

As Javelin bawled her eyes out, Laffey paid no attention to her friend, only watching as a few shipgirls tried to persist despite their injuries, while others were forced to engage the AST despite the state they are in. The cherry on top of this horrific raid came when both of them witnessed as Bird left Elena's Robot Suit incapacitated from a blast of the Mega Particle gun, watching her machine fall through the sensors of his Hygogg.

It was finally over, and Raptor Machina was victorious. Due to Midway's vital importance for Azur Lane, the outcome not only dealt a significant blow to them, but gave the organization a good headstart to possibly continue their invasion, or any other intentions the shipgirls speculated. Bird then proceeded to give a final message at last.

Bird: "It's settled then, boys. The islands are ours! Any survivors are to be taken inside the base for further information."

The troops cheered, raising their fists up in the air. Afterwards, they began to take any surviving shipgirl with them. Ryouko and the AST spotted Javelin and Laffey, ordering them to raise their hands up and follow them. Filled with fear, both did it without hesitation. Walking through the battlefield, they witnessed as a few soldiers found and took Elena out of her Robot Suit, carrying her inside.

Meanwhile, Bird was checking up on Angel Blood and his damaged Acguy.

Bird: "Aldia, have our medical teams checked up on him?"

Aldia: "Yes. He's actually fine, and has no injuries and whatnot."

Bird: "Thank goodness.. Angel Blood, report your status!"

Angel Blood: "..Doing well. The left leg is crippled."

Bird: "We'll call in mechanics soon enough. We should rest for now."

Parking their Mobile Suits near the base, all three of them walked into the facility's interior. This'll have a new look soon enough.
