And now, back to the present...

Raph's POV

Sunset later wrote to Princess Twilight and invited her and Garrett to come over tomorrow. She'll surprise them then. Anyway, it's nighttime, and we're sleeping together in bed, and Sunset is sleeping on her back as to be extra careful with the baby. As I fall asleep, memories from my past come into my dreams. Memories from that fateful day I lost everything. During that beatdown Shredder gave me, I might have gotten a concussion that made me forget several key elements. Now it's coming back to me. And this nightmare from my past is just as bad as the first nightmare. I wake up in a cold sweat, gasping for air. Sunset slowly woke up and asked, "Raph...? Is everything okay?" 

 "Yeah, just another bad dream is all," I said. Sunset felt my emotions and asked me, "was it about Shredder again?" I sighed and confessed, "kind of... But now I remember what happened to my older brother, Leonardo..." Sunset looked at me and asked, "Do you want to talk about it?" I always trust Sunset with my past, and when I pour out my heart to her, I know Sunset will never judge me. That's what I love about her. I sighed and said in recollection, "when Shredder and his Foot Clan attacked us, they brought an ally. His name was Kraang. He was a rogue Utrom from an alien world known as Dimension X. In my anger, I failed to notice that Kraang had knocked out Leo and abducted him. My head was so fuzzy, I could barely see Kraang taking away my unconscious brother. But now, the memory's come back to me."

"Do you know what happened to Leo afterwards?" Sunset asked. "I don't," I admitted, "for all I know, Kraang might've taken Leo to Dimension X, and did inhumane experiments to him. I just hope he didn't turn my brother into a monster that's a shell of his former self, I'd hate to fight him then." Sunset gently stroked my cheek. "Your brothers and your friends didn't deserve what happened to them," said Sunset, "do you miss them?" I nodded and said, "Every damn day. But every day gets easier now that I have you in my life. And now our little one." Sunset smiled and kissed me. I kissed back, then I kissed her belly, making her giggle. As I listened to the baby's heartbeat, I said, "I've taken so many lives as a ninja and as The Nightwatcher... Making a life... It just feels right. This family, it's what I need." Sunset smiled and said, "I love you Raphael." I smiled and said, "I love you too, my Sunset." We then went back to sleep, not a worry in the world.
