Donald Trump

If you didn't know (I'm guessing you don't live in the US?), Donald Trump is our 45th President, and I'm honestly so afraid.

When I complain about Donald Trump, it's not because "Oh, the Democrats lost boo hoo!" If the Republican nominee was any of the others who started out (Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, etc), I wouldn't even be complaining as much.

When I complain about Donald Trump, it's because there are so many people who are now in danger because this man is in office.  Unless you're a cishet white male, he is not interested in your well-being.

I'm scared for my LGBTQ+ friends. I'm scared for my friends who are not white. I'm scared for my friends who are not Christian.

I'm scared for sexual assault survivors, because this election has taught them that their abusers can get away with what they did, and even become President.

Just two weeks ago, my sister enlisted in the Navy, although she won't actually be deployed until after she graduates from college. (She'll be in ROTC in college, and won't be going to boot camp) With Trump as President, we're probably going to go to war with who knows? It doesn't matter to him.

Trump has two court cases coming up: one for fraud (because of Trump University) and one for raping a 13-year-old girl.  I hope he's found guilty for both of them, and he ends up getting impeached.

However, I think that when he's impeached, the vice-president takes over?  Mike Pence is just as horrible as Trump (he supports conversion therapy for people who are LGBTQ+, which is extremely dangerous) and I don't want him in office, either.

Hillary Clinton was the lesser of two evils, but the American people have disappointed me by voting this man into office.

The people who voted for him are at fault.  The people who voted 3rd party are at fault.  The 50% of people who didn't even vote are at fault.
