Starbucks

If you haven't been paying attention to the news lately, allow me to explain what I'm about to rant about. (Or if you haven't been to Starbucks before)

So Starbucks has begun selling their winter/Christmas drinks and food (like peppermint mocha, my personal favorite; also, gingerbread stuff), and this year, they've started selling (hot) drinks in red cups. (Frappuccinos are still sold in the same cups.) People are upset because these cups are "anti-Christian."

Last time I checked, these cups didn't say something like "Hail Satan" or something.  They're literally just plain red cups.  There is nothing Christian or anti-Christian about them.  People are making a big fuss about nothing.  The cups they had before this year weren't any more Christian than the ones they do have this year.  Also, Starbucks is not a Christian organization; they do not have to cater to the needs to Christians.

There are people who don't celebrate Christmas, maybe because they're Jewish, or maybe they just don't believe in celebrating it.  By selling plain red cups, Starbucks has made it easier for them to buy coffee without having Christmas shoved down their throats.

Just drink your coffee and be happy that you have some.  There is no need to bring religion into cups.  If you do believe these cups are anti-Christian, let me know.  I'd love to see how it feels to live in a world where you get offended about everything.
