Ryback

To start off, here is some information.

Ryback blocked me on Twitter! :D

I'll be talking about two different videos.

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

This one, and another one from Snapchat, which I don't have a link to.

"That one thing they have over men, their sexuality."

Excuse me?

Ryback, I get that you're a straight dude, but come on, have you seen this guy?

Okay, now to be serious.

Hey Ryback, when are you going to try being sexy?

Oh wait...

There's a reason that Trish Stratus would try to be sexy when she wrestled, as opposed to Becky Lynch or Sasha Banks doing it today.

Trish was part of the WWE when they only used the women for eye candy.  Now, there is a women's revolution going on.  It's 2017.  The women aren't here to give you a boner, dude.

I find it funny that this man who doesn't have a single memorable match in the WWE is critiquing the women, nearly all of which have had better matches than him.

Asking Ryback for his opinion on women's wrestling is like asking me for my opinion on any sport that isn't wrestling.  I know nothing about it, so I shouldn't speak about it.  Ryback obviously knows nothing about the women who wrestle and this revolution going on in the WWE, so maybe he should shut up.

This guy is the only man I have heard complain about the lack of sexuality in the women's division.  Most people - guys, gals, and non-binary pals - are all for this revolution.  All of the women in WWE and NXT have worked their asses off to get the same level of respect that the men do, so he can just fuck off.

Yeah, they're saying that they can do everything the guys can do.  Vince didn't give a fuck about women's wrestling until NXT started giving them chances, and he realized he could make money off of it.

You, Ryback, are Vince McMahon's wet dream.  You never had that problem in WWE.  You are everything he could ever look for in a guy (you've even got the sexism to boot!).

When I started watching wrestling, the women got maybe 5 minutes on Raw, if they even appeared on the show at all.  Now, the women are main eventing PPVs and the weekly shows, they're having better matches than the guys; they're basically doing everything Ryback wishes he could do.

Asking the women to play up their sexuality is sexist.  You don't expect the men to do that.  He says that they'll flex and stuff, but I don't see that as playing up sexuality.  That is one of two things:

1. This dude has lots of muscles, and he wants everyone to know.

2. This dude is a heel, and he's letting you know that he's better than you by showing off his muscles.

Also, Dana Brooke flexes every time she's in the ring.  What?  Is that not playing up her sexuality?  She's doing exactly what some men do.

And, in case you're reading this and you are a man that wants all the sexuality:

Watch SmackDown.  That's essentially what Lana is there for.  Watch Lucha Underground.  She doesn't wrestle, but that's what Catrina is there for.

Nearly all the other women are there to wrestle and break barriers, not to help you jack off.

You know that other video I mentioned?

Well, Ryback posted a video on Snapchat (I do not follow him for obvious reasons) of him watching SmackDown.  The women's match this past week was Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch (and it was really good).

In this video, Charlotte is climbing to the top rope, getting ready to hit a moonsault.  Ryback starts talking, and he sarcastically tells her not to do something athletic, and to just shake her ass.

It legitimately made me uncomfortable.

I don't care if it was sarcastic or not, it was unnecessary.

I can't think of a single person who would want to hear that said to them, even if it was sarcastic or a joke.

I'm getting a headache thinking about this, so let me end it.

When Ryback was in WWE, I didn't like him.  It wasn't anything personal, he just wasn't someone I was into.

Now, though, I still don't like him.  It's both his wrestling + his sexism that has turned me away from ever being a fan.

To end, let me give you five really awesome women's matches that happened down in NXT.

Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch - NXT Takeover: Unstoppable
Asuka vs. Emma - NXT Takeover: London
Asuka vs. Ember Moon - NXT Takeover: Orlando
Asuka vs. Nikki Cross - NXT three weeks ago
Ember Moon vs. Ruby Riot - NXT this past week

And, if you love women's wrestling as much as I do, just remember that the Mae Young Classic is coming up.  I am super excited about it!

I've recently published a book called "Wildfire." It is a book of PPV predictions + reviews.  I've got my Battleground predictions posted.  Please check out the book! :)
