All right, so I recently started watching Markiplier's videos about 2 months ago, and he's become one of my favorite YouTubers (and I don't normally watch gamers).  He's so humble (I just watched a video in which he said he didn't "feel worthy" of all the fanart and nice things people sent him) and just a genuinely kind person.  So many big YouTubers kind of lose their genuineness and I'm just glad that Mark is so popular, but so great to his fans.

Mark was a big part of an account called Cyndago.  I've seen a few of their videos, and I actually really enjoyed them.  However, in September of last year, a member of Cyndago, Daniel Kyre, committed suicide.  The remaining members of the channel decided to stop posting on it, and have moved on to other things.

About 2(?) weeks ago, Mark posted a video on his channel where Daniel's family (his parents and sister) spoke, thanking the fans and subscribers for their kindness and generosity.  It was a very heartfelt video, and I'm glad that Mark allowed them to speak.

Now, onto the rant.

I know that the whole "Damn Daniel" meme is funny, but for the love of god, DON'T LEAVE IT IN A COMMENT ON A VIDEO LIKE THAT.

The Kyre family lost a son and a brother, and you commenting "Damn Daniel" is rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate.  I don't care if you think it's funny.  I don't care if you didn't mean anything by it.  Both the family and Mark are going through a hard time, and you are being plain rude.

You really want to post "Damn Daniel" somewhere?  Go find danisnotonfire.  Dan will find that funny.  It's a play on his name haha so funny.  When people left comments about it on his Instagram, it was funny.  When people leave this in comments on a video of a guy named Daniel who committed suicide, and the family is obviously still shaken up by it, that is not funny.

My god, it's the middle of the night and a lot of you might not read this, but I needed to get this off my chest.  People are fucking assholes sometimes, and I refuse to associate myself with people like this.
