Great Balls of Fire Predictions

My god, that PPV name.

Before we get to the predictions, here's a fun fact/random story.

Earlier this year (like January-February), my brother listened to that song in his American history class.  And he would keep quoting it, just randomly going "goodness gracious, great balls of fire" for absolutely no reason.

And he would play it randomly, when I'd least expect it.  I'd think he was going to show me a YouTube video, but nope, he just wanted to play me that song.

Then, a few months ago, it was announced that Great Balls of Fire would be the name of a PPV, and I just instantly thought of him, and he was just like "aye that's awesome."

Anyway, that was pointless.  Here are my predictions.

Enzo Amore vs. Big Cass
Singles Match
Winner:
Big Cass
I just feel like it would be weird if he lost already.  He just turned heel.  It would kinda ruin his momentum if he lost.

Also, I feel like Enzo can take losses because the crowd loves him so much.

I do hope that since Cass isn't with Enzo anymore, he can get his full name back.  He really only goes by Big Cass because that's how Enzo would introduce him.  I think it would be weird if he kept the name.

Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt
Singles Match
Winner:
Seth Rollins
Bray always loses, except for the one time he won the title.

Don't have anything else to say about the match, so I'll just say that I really really miss cocky heel Seth Rollins.  It's what made me love him.  He's just bland as a face.

Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns
Ambulance Match
Winner:
Braun Strowman
I really just want him to win so he can tip over an ambulance again.  I think he's more likely to do it if Roman is in it.

Also, I hope that 2-3 years from now, Roman is off in a completely different feud, and Braun just randomly shows up and yells "I'M NOT FINISHED WITH YOU!" and attacks him.  But they don't have a match or anything.  Just that.

Neville vs. Akira Tozawa
Singles Match for the Cruiserweight Championship
Winner:
Neville
I don't see Neville losing his title anytime soon.  Also, when he does, I really hope it's to Mustafa Ali because he's the best.

With that said, I'm going to predict that this is the match of the night.  I have high hopes for it.

(I only just realized that this is on the pre-show.  I'm sad, and normally I'd move pre-show matches to the beginning of my predictions, but I'm keeping it here because it's gonna be hella good)

The Miz vs. Dean Ambrose
Singles Match for the Intercontinental Championship
Winner:
The Miz
I want The Miz to win so this feud can end already!

This has been going on since January.  I'm so tired of it.   END IT.

Let The Miz feud with literally anyone else on the roster.  I'd love to see Finn Balor get a shot, but I also wouldn't be opposed to Seth Rollins getting one, either.

I'm assuming that either Maryse or Curtis Axel + Bo Dallas are going to get involved.

DEAN AMBROSE, PLEASE MOVE ON AFTER THIS.  DON'T EXTEND THIS TO SUMMERSLAM.

Sheamus & Cesaro vs. The Hardys
30 Minute Iron Man Match for the Raw Tag Team Championships
Winners:
Sheamus & Cesaro
I don't really see the Hardys winning the titles back when they've just lost them.  I think Sheamus and Cesaro will keep them for a little longer.

With that said, though, I don't think there are any more face teams on Raw. xD Enzo + Cass broke up, Golden Truth broke up, and Heath + Rhyno seem to be doing something with The Miz.

I'm very 50/50 on this match, and could totally see Matt + Jeff winning them back.

(Also, I don't call them The Hardy Boyz because they are 40-year-old men, and it's weird)

Alexa Bliss vs. Sasha Banks
Singles Match for the Raw Women's Championship
Winner:
Sasha Banks
Like the tag team match, I'm also a bit 50/50 on this one, too.

On the one hand, I can see Sasha winning it here, giving Alexa her rematch on an episode of Raw, and having Sasha/Bayley at SummerSlam (this is ideal, for me at least).  Sometime between the rematch and SummerSlam, Sasha turns heel.

On the other hand, they could extend this feud out to SummerSlam, and Alexa could retain.  Sasha and Alexa haven't really done much, and Sasha's only been the number one contender for 2 weeks, so they haven't really feuded, if that makes sense.  Depending on how the match goes, I might be okay with Alexa/Sasha rematch at SS, assuming Alexa cheats to win here.

If they do Alexa/Sasha at SS, I'm hoping we get Sasha/Bayley at Survivor Series because I think these two deserve a match at a Big Four PPV, and while I'd prefer SummerSlam (it'd be two years since their first match at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn), I can deal with Survivor Series.

Also, I just really want Sasha to have a lengthy reign, because her feud with Charlotte saw her having 20 day reigns, and I'm still annoyed about that.

Random thought (that probably won't happen): what if Bayley turns heel, and she helps Alexa win?  She does need something new, and while I don't see it happening, it would be cool.  Sasha could get a fair rematch on Raw, win the title, and we could see heel Bayley vs. face Sasha (completely different from their first encounters in NXT).

Brock Lesnar vs. Samoa Joe
Singles Match for the WWE Universal Championship
Winner:
Brock Lesnar
As much as I'd love to see Samoa Joe as Universal Champion, I'm pretty sure Brock is retaining, and he's losing it to Roman at SummerSlam.

I'm not looking forward to this match like everyone else.  Yeah, I think Samoa Joe will do great.  But Brock does, like, 2 moves.  I can't remember the last match of his that I enjoyed.

The only good thing about Brock being the main event of PPVs is that it's easier for me to skip his matches.  I do think full-time wrestlers should be the main event, but hey, what do I know?

(Side note: if I was booking this, I'd definitely make the tag team Iron Man match the main event; I feel like stipulation matches should be the main event idk)

I don't want this to be me complaining about Brock, so I'm going to end this here.

Okay, I'm adding this down here at the bottom because I just thought of this.

You know how I said that Raw doesn't have anymore face teams.  You know who had a pretty good face team?  NXT.

If DIY hadn't broken up (excuse me while I cry), they could move up to Raw, and we could see DIY/Cesaro + Sheamus, which I'm suddenly realizing would be super good and kind of a dream match. (Also, The Revival are on Raw, so obviously we'd get good matches)

I know Gargano + Ciampa are going to have amazing matches once Ciampa comes back from his injury (hoping that Johnny is NXT Champion when that happens *fingers crossed*), but think of all the matches we could've gotten if DIY had stayed together.
