Okay, so before I start predicting matches, I wanna talk about the commentary team.

Michael Cole, Renee Young, and Beth Phoenix have been doing commentary for the Mae Young Classic the past a few weeks, and will be doing it for Evolution, and I think they've been doing a great job. Renee and Beth are still both very new to commentary and are learning, but that's why Michael Cole is there, to be the veteran in the booth.

So, if you were thinking that the point of Evolution was BAN ALL MEN!!!1!! then you're wrong, and also, Michael Cole is not bad at commentary at all, so the show should be pretty enjoyable.

So, with that said, let's get on to the predictions.

"Historic" Women's Battle Royal
Winner: Nikki Cross
Historic is in brackets because I don't understand what makes it historic.

Anyway, this battle royal is full of women past and present, but what about the future? I fully expect some NXT women to be in it, and who better than the woman that's been the focus of the show that past few weeks: Nikki Cross?

I think this will be her way of debuting on the main roster. I'd have her go to SmackDown and face the winner of that title match (you'll see my pick later).

I'm also assuming that there might be some surprise past women, too, that weren't announced, but I don't really know who. I really want to see Layla, AJ Lee, and Kaitlyn (especially her, since she was in the MYC and can obviously still wrestle).

Sasha Banks, Bayley, & Natalya vs. The Riott Squad
6-Woman Tag Match

Winners: The Riott Squad

On one hand, I think this match is dumb and shouldn't be happening on a PPV, but on the other hand, these ladies aren't stuck in that battle royal, so I guess I should be happy.

I mostly just picked The Riott Squad because they lost at the Australia show, and I don't think they'd lose twice. (also, they keep trying to claim them as credible threats, but how are they so-called threats when they keep losing?)

Also, I'm hoping one of two things happen:

-They FINALLY announce women's tag titles, and maybe The Riott Squad get to contend for them.

-Sasha turns on Bayley, and we finally get one of NXT's best feuds on the main roster.

Lita & Trish Stratus vs. Alicia Fox & Mickie James
Tag Team Match
Winners: Lita & Trish Stratus

Normally, I HATE when retired/part-time wrestlers win matches, but in this case, I don't mind.

They've been continuously saying that the women's division wouldn't be where it is today if it weren't for the women of the past, and since I doubt that any of the retired women in the battle royal are winning, this would be the match to do it.

You'd have this match, then the Raw/SD title matches for the present, and the NXT and MYC matches for the future.

Also, I want to talk about something, and I wanna know if y'all do this too.

So, in my mind, there are different eras in women's wrestling.

I don't really know much about super old wrestling, but with the Attitude Era, you had Lita, Trish, Chyna, Molly Holly, Jacqueline, and Ivory.

After that, you had the era of Mickie, Victoria, Melina, Gail Kim, and Beth Phoenix. (Women who could wrestle, and were sometimes given the time to do so)

Then there was Nattie, Layla, Michelle McCool, Beth (again lol), Maryse, and Alicia Fox. (A mix of good and mediocre women who were not given time to wrestle)

And then Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres and the Bellas were kind of their own era (women who couldn't really wrestle - but learned to be somewhat okay - that were given no time).

And then AJ Lee, Kaitlyn, and Paige showed up, and that's when things started to change. I consider them part of that previous era, but they were their own offset of it.

And I consider the current era of women starting when Sasha, Becky, and Charlotte debuted on the main roster.

I don't know why I brought that up. I don't really think like that with the men - there's so many of them that it's hard to keep track + they stay around longer than the women would.

Anyway, back to predicting things.

Io Shirai vs. Toni Storm
Mae Young Classic Finals
Winner: Toni Storm

THIS IS GONNA BE THE MATCH OF THE NIGHT AND I CAN'T WAIT.

Read this section with caution because there WILL BE NXT UK SPOILERS.

So, the current UK Women's Champion is Rhea Ripley (a fave), which she won after a tournament. The person she beat in the finals was none other than Toni Storm (who, by the way, I think is super cool).

I think that Toni will win the Mae Young Classic, then use that as a reason to get another shot at the women's title.

They already have this story they can tell by having Toni win. I won't be disappointed if Io wins, but I don't really know what story they could tell other than Io/Kairi.

Kairi Sane vs. Shayna Baszler
NXT Women's Championship Match
Winner: Kairi Sane

I think Kairi is retaining here.

This is the only title in NXT that hasn't had a person hold it more than once, and I feel like if someone were to do that, they'd pick Shayna. However, I don't really know what else they could do with Shayna besides prolong this feud with Kairi.

By the end of last year's MYC, I was tired of Shayna and not a fan. After her match with Kairi in Brooklyn, though, I've come around to liking her. She's not the best wrestler ever, but she's pretty good considering how long she's been doing it. With that said, I think this will be a solid match, and it'll be pretty good.

I also see her coming to the main roster after this, and maybe teaming with Ronda or something, I don't really know.

And I think Kairi will move on to feuding with Bianca Belair (mostly because she already feuded with Lacey Evans + Lacey's currently in a feud with Candice LeRae anyway), which would be awesome because they had one of my favorite matches in the MYC last year.

Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair
Last Woman Standing Match for the SmackDown Women's Championship
Winner: Becky Lynch

If you read my list of dream matches for this PPV, you'll notice that I said that at least one match on the card should have a stipulation. This isn't the match or stipulation I picked, but with that said, I am very much looking forward to this match.

Also: THIS IS NOT THE FIRST LAST WOMAN STANDING MATCH. ASUKA AND NIKKI CROSS WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A WORD WITH YOU, WWE.

This is the only match I can see possibly being better than Io/Toni.

It should be the main event for a number of reasons.

I think Becky is winning because she hasn't held the title for very long, she's on a roll (or on fire, if you will), and Charlotte really doesn't need it again.

I think that Nikki Cross is winning that battle royal, then coming to SmackDown to challenge Becky for the title. It will throw Becky off, because she is used to well-composed, regal Charlotte Flair, and Nikki is everything Charlotte isn't. They would have an interesting dynamic.

I think there will be a lot of great spots in this match, and I am just so so so excited for it.

Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella (w/ Brie Bella, probably)
Raw Women's Championship Match
Winner: Nikki Bella

This is the first time in my whole life that I have ever wanted Nikki Bella to win a match.

With that said, I doubt she is, but that doesn't mean a girl can't hope. This is one of those "I hope this happens" predictions, not one where I think it actually will.

I hate Ronda Rousey very much, and I want her off my TV as soon as possible.

Also, the buildup to this feud is so dumb (at least, Ronda's side is). Ronda's whole argument is "Whoa, Nikki, you slept with your boyfriend of 4+ years?? You slut!" Like?? That's what couples do, they have sex.

But then Nikki actually had some good heel stuff with the whole "Your mom will be ashamed of you" thing. I heard that Ronda apparently wrote her promo herself and, girl, you gonna need to stop doing that.

I don't think this match will be good, but it won't be bad, either. Nikki is the best of the women Ronda has faced on PPV (I put that because Ruby Riott is better than everybody ever), which isn't really saying much because her only other PPV opponents have been Alexa, Nia, and Stephanie.

Wow, this PPV sure is disappointing. There are only 7 matches (other PPVs usually have more, just saying), and only three of them will probably be any good (SD and NXT title matches + MYC finals).

And a big part of that is because they put 90% OF THEIR WOMEN IN A STUPID BATTLE ROYAL. Like, Becky and Charlotte are the only women from SmackDown NOT in that match, and that's just because they're in a title match.

I hate to shit all over it because those matches will probably be absolutely amazing, but... c'mon WWE, you announced this back in July, and then proceeded to do absolutely nothing to promote, book, or build it up. You literally promised us an NXT UK match, and then proceeded not to give us one.

To end: Evolution > Crown Jewel (which I will not be posting predictions for because I won't be watching it).
