I meant to write this a while ago, but I never got around to it.  Better late than never, right?

So, when Eva Marie debuted, I didn't like her.  She was very boring and awkward on the mic, and she couldn't wrestle at all.  Then there was that episode of Total Divas where she lied and pretended she could dance, so she auditioned to be Fandango's partner and FAILED.

As I've watched Total Divas, though, I've realized Eva Marie isn't all that bad.  Right now, she's in NXT, training and getting better, which is great!  She's obviously taking wrestling seriously, which is all we can ask for.

I've only seen the first 3 or 4 episodes of this season of Total Divas, but what I've seen is everyone (except Naomi, the voice of reason) getting mad at Eva Marie for training.  They're complaining that she's training privately with Brian Kendrick.  Their only reason for being mad is that they didn't get that opportunity, so they apparently think Eva shouldn't?  It doesn't make any sense.  She's trying to improve, but they're just bitching about it, as if she cares what they have to say.

Eva had the opportunity to train and she took it.  The other Divas can't get mad at her just because she wants to improve in the ring.  I think it's great that Eva is training with Brian Kendrick!  She didn't know what she was doing when she signed on to WWE, but now she's learning and actually trying.

It's not her fault that WWE decided to put her on the main roster before she was ready.  She had about 3 months of training when they did that, so she obviously didn't know what she was doing.  That's not her fault.  WWE should've waited until she was ready, and if they really wanted her to start wrestling, they should've put her on NXT first.

Eva Marie is trying her hardest, but everyone (fans and the other Divas) is giving her shit for it.  Eva's job isn't to please the other Divas, her job is to go out to the ring and wrestle.  And yeah, she may not be as good as some of the other Divas (Sasha Banks, Bayley, Becky Lynch), but she's doing the best she can with the limited amount of time she's been given.

So, next time, before you decide to complain about Eva Marie, think about your favorite wrestler.  Dean Ambrose didn't just come out of the womb hitting people with Dirty Deeds, did he?  Brock Lesnar wasn't sending other pre-schoolers to Suplex City, was he?  No.  Just wait a few years.  If Eva Marie is still in the WWE and she hasn't improved any, you can complain about it then.  Until then, just give Eva some time and wait it out.
