Elimination Chamber Predictions

Quick note: I wrote all this after one controversy, but before another.  That's why I actually mention one but not the other.

Also, it sure has been a crazy week in wrestling, huh?

Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin
No Disqualification Match
Winner: Who Cares?? (But Braun, I guess)

Imagine thinking this match should be on the main card, but the cruiserweights should be on the pre-show.

I've been watching Raw nearly every week, and I almost always tune out anything involving these guys because I'm so bored of them at this point.

Give them different feuds.

Buddy Murphy vs. Akira Tozawa
Cruiserweight Championship Match
Winner: Buddy Murphy

I don't know how to explain it. The only people in the division I felt like could beat Murphy for the title were Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander.

Well, Ali is on SmackDown now, and it just felt right for Cedric to lose the title to Murphy. I do want to see him hold it again, but not right now.

So, I'm thinking that Murphy will hold it for a while, someone new will debut (from NXT or elsewhere), and some super awesome babyface will finally dethrone him.

Even though this is gonna be on the pre-show, y'all should check it out because it's gonna be awesome.

The Miz & Shane McMahon vs. The Usos
SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
Winners: The Miz & Shane McMahon

It is the year of our lord 2019 and Shane McMahon is holding a title.

So, here's what I think is gonna happen.

Miz and Shane win here, then at Fastlane, they lose the titles to whoever. They start arguing, and that's how we get Miz/Shane at WrestleMania. (Which, go Miz, because they usually make Shane's Mania matches a big deal, so he's doing something right)

Also, assuming y'all know what happened the other day with Jimmy Uso, I don't really think they're winning the titles here.

Ronda Rousey vs. Ruby Riott
Raw Women's Championship Match
Winner: Ronda Rousey

I'm so tired of Ronda. Can we just fast forward to Mania, where Becky finally beats her ass and wins the title?

I am hoping that at some point in 2019, all of the Riott Squad will be champions (Ruby as Raw Women's Champ + Liv and Sarah as tag champs).

This match has happened before, right? On an episode of Raw? Either way, I think this is going to be one of Ronda's best matches because Ruby is one of the best wrestlers currently on the main roster. (I would like a title feud between her and Ember or Sasha)

Bobby Lashley & Lio Rush vs. Finn Balor
2-on-1 Handicap Match for the Intercontinental Championship
Winner: Finn Balor

BOBBY LASHLEY IS SO BORING

Lio Rush is great (at being his manager and at wrestling), but a great manager only works so long as the wrestler is pretty good, or something.

I hate Brock Lesnar, but he just LOOKS like a threat and overall intimidating, and everything Paul Heyman says about him seems true. Same with Paul Ellering and Authors of Pain, when they were together.

But Bobby Lashley is just so boring. Any time something seems interesting or cool, if you add him to it, he sucks all the excitement out of the room.

I legit couldn't tell you what his finisher is. All I can remember about him is that he sticks his butt in the air for some reason.

Also, I just love Finn Balor so so much, and he deserves another title, especially since he only held the Universal title for a day. :(

Oh, and I'm thinking this is only a handicap match so that Lio can take the pin.

(By the way, I love to hate Lio Rush. He's so annoying that it's easy to dislike him)

Nia Jax & Tamina vs. The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan) vs. Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose vs. The IIconics vs. Naomi & Carmella
Elimination Chamber Match for the Women's Tag Team Championship
Winners: The IIconics

Here's my fantasy booking.

If you look at all 6 of these teams, Peyton and Billie have been together the longest. They've been teaming since 2016, but they've known each other for FOURTEEN YEARS.

If anyone deserves these titles, it's them.

So, they win the titles here and are the "first" women's tag team champions.

The match at Mania is IIconics vs. Sasha/Bayley, and the Boss 'N' Hug Connection win the titles there. They get a Mania moment, IIconics are recognized as the first champions, it's great, we're all happy.

(Well, we're all happy until they inevitably start feuding with Nia/Tamina ugh)

I feel like after the Bellas stopped teaming together, people stopped talking about the possibility of women's tag titles until the IIconics showed up in NXT, so they more than deserve those belts.

Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jeff Hardy
Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship
Winner: Kofi Kingston

HEAR ME OUT OKAY

This involves some fantasy booking lmao

But first...

Two years ago (I think), Alexa Bliss and Bayley were supposed to have a title match at SummerSlam, but Bayley got injured and was replaced with Sasha Banks.

Sasha ended up winning the title that night, and held it for a week.

WWE apparently likes to trick us, especially if it seems like a certain person will win.

Kofi is replacing Mustafa Ali, who got injured.

Also, he had a really great showing on SmackDown in that gauntlet match.

So, Kofi wins the chamber, maybe pinning Daniel to do it?

He gets his rematch at Fastlane, where Daniel wins the title back, and hey, Kofi's a grand slam champion now.

He gets his rematch at WrestleMania, but now it's a triple threat. With who, you might ask? Mustafa Ali.

He was supposed to be in the Chamber but was taken out of it. Also, he pinned Daniel Bryan in a tag team match, so he has a win over him, and that's how he gets put into the match.

So we get Bryan/Kingston/Ali at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship.

Even if all this doesn't happen, but Kofi still wins, I will be so so happy. Kofi has been one of my favorites ever since I first started watching wrestling, so to see him finally win this title will be amazing.

And have y'all heard the interviews and stuff Xavier and Big E have done where they just shower him with praise? Saying that he deserves the title, should be in the Hall of Fame, all that stuff. That's friendship goals right there.

And finally: imagine Xavier and Big E celebrating with Kofi in the ring after he finally wins. If that doesn't make you want him to win, I don't know what will.

One of the guys in Cultaholic (I think it was Sam?) was trying to say that if they wanted Kofi to be champion, they'd have to break up the team, but here's why I don't think that's necessary.

Down in NXT, you've got arguably the best tag team in WWE, Undisputed Era. At one point, Adam Cole was NXT North American Champion, while Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong were tag team champions.

The Shield had Dean Ambrose as United States Champion, and Roman and Seth were the tag team champions.

Even just on this show, you've got Ruby Riott going after the Raw Women's title, while Sarah and Liv go after the tag titles.

I honestly don't understand why the New Day would have to break up. Big E and Xavier would pick Kofi to be the singles guy in a heartbeat, so there wouldn't be any argument about it. They could go after the tag titles. It's perfect.

Anyway, that's the end of my rant.

***

I think both Chamber matches are gonna be really awesome, and I think I'm actually looking forward to another one of Ronda's matches.

Should be a good show.
