Chyna
I know I said I had finals and would be busy, but I really needed to talk about this. After this chapter, I won't be on much, just checking my messages every now and then.
Chyna was only 47 when she died. She's younger than my mom. Sure, I was upset when Dusty Rhodes and Mae Young died, but they were both kinda old. Chyna was really young, and it's really sad.
She was a pioneer for women's wrestling, even if she did wrestle the guys. She let girls know that we can do anything a guy can do, and we can do it better. She was IC champion, she was in the king of the ring tournament, and she was the first woman to compete in the Royal Rumble (with Beth Phoenix and Kharma being the only other women to do so).
She was one of the first women in the WWE to be hired because of her wrestling ability and not just because she was eye candy. I feel like she would've loved what the current women on the roster will be doing to improve the women's division, making sure they're not just looked at, but respected.
And I know that after she left the WWE, she started doing porn and they stopped talking about her, but I really hope that they do something to honor her, even if it's just the "In memory of" graphic at the beginning of the show (I'd prefer a whole video package, but whatever). She also deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame (she should've gone in years ago), and I really hope she's part of the class of 2017.
I was at a loss for words when I woke up to the news this morning, so that's why I'm just now saying anything this late in the afternoon.
RIP Chyna. Say hi to Prince for me, will you?
