I bet most of my readers- well, the two readers that I know of- are probably also getting ready to go back to school.

YAY I'M SO EXCITED!

UGH DO I HAVE TO GO?

^ Those are probably the two most common responses I've been seeing on the internet. Both of those have been floating through my head creating a tornado of butterflies in my stomach.

Speaking of which, has anyone seen Sharknado or Sharknado 2? They both sound incredibly stupid...

Anyways, I have a butterfly-nado in my stomach. Yeah.

One thing I really hate about going back to school: the shopping. Nothing feels better than a clean start to a new year, but 'tis quite a painstaking process. The school supply section of every store I've seen is usually either so crowded you can't hardly move, or has been picked clean of the only stuff you need. My philosophy: get your supplies the second they have everything set up. Otherwise, all hope is lost.

This year though, Target was actually pretty good. They had a considerable supply of everything, and the population of other hungry vultures circling the isles was almost endangered.

I must admit, that was probably the worst idiom I've ever written.

Let's see, any more back to school stuff..?

Oh yeah, the unnecessary nervousness. Even if it's your third year of middle school with all the same people, you're gonna be nervous. I'm especially nervous though, because this year there are actually going to be younger kids in the building... my class has been the youngest for 2 years (long story), and I'm pretty sure everyone was more than okay with that.

Back on topic: there's just something about going back to school that makes you nervous. Perhaps it's the realization that this will once again be your prison for the next 9 months, or maybe you're going to a brand new school with completely new people. If those pills from the Matched trilogy existed, I bet tons of people would take the green ones at this time of year.

There's so much more I want to rant about under this topic, but I don't want to bore you all to death. Keep an eye out for my next rant!
