Why Does Writing Suck
Hello, no one. It's me, Juliette. I forgot how the thing from 13 Reasons Why goes so I'll just get right into it. I'm complaining, again. Today, I got a skin allergy test, which is basically when you get poked with oils covered in things you might be allergic to. If you start reacting to them, then you're allergic to that thing. It kinda sucks because you're just itchy the whole time, but I found out I have a severe allergy to red maple trees. Actually, I'm super allergic to a lot of other trees. I knew there was a reason I hated going outside.
Anyways, I just unpublished one of my stories.
Here are my top 3 reasons why writing sucks.
1. Just Writing
There are times where you're just pushing ideas out and writing 5,000 chapters a day. Those days are the best. But then there are the days where you reread those chapters are then you're like
Of course, you're friends tell you that it's fine, but it's kinda like when you draw a picture. You look at it and you're like "OMG this is great. I'm great. I love this so much. I'll add more to it later." Then, as you look at it more and more you slowly begin to hate it. At least, I hope other people do it too.
Is this just something the human brain does to mess with people? I end up staring at it until I hate it and if I don't hate it then I'll have to wait out for me to hate it.
This is the most annoying thing.
2. Motivation
I know I always talk about it, but where is everybody. Anytime I post anything I felt like this and that's super weird. I wrote for me, but after putting my ideas out there I wanted some sort of affirmation or something like that idk.
3. Editing
I know you're supposed to get an editor, but I'm honestly too embarrassed to let someone see my unedited unpublished chapters. I get super insecure about it because, like a normal person, I write all of my chapters at midnight or 3 am. At a time where I'm usually half asleep, but, like a person that took one too many shots of tequila, I think my ideas are great at that time.
So, the lesson here is don't drink and don't write when you're exhausted. It may seem like a good idea at the time, but it's definitely not.
~ ~ ~
Alright, so I think I'm only going to have 3 things. I was initially going to do 5, but I'm running out of ideas and my throat is closing up. I want to have all my homework done in case I go to the ER because, as I've learned in the past, the ER is not an excuse to not turn in homework.
So, um, bye?
