Rereaders Suck

Yep. You read that right. Rereaders are the worst. Now, you're probably wondering how I got here. Well, it all started 3 hours ago.

*INSERT WHIMSICAL MUSIC*

Okay, so I'm going through Wattpad trying to find something to read. Hmm, I don't really see anything super interesting. How about I go through my library and see if I have anything I haven't finished yet?

*sees completed story that I've already read*

Welp, guess I'll reread this. It was so good the first time, so what'll be the difference this time.

Oh, I remember this part. I wonder if that one funny comment is still here.

*goes to comment section OF CHAPTER ONE*

spoilinevry1sfun236: Oh I finally see what his mom was doing. I didn't even realize it when I first read it.

Oh no.

*scrolls down*

isuck456: LOL I can't believe [name of character that isn't introduced until chapter 10] was behind everything.

Oh no.

Oh no.

Okay, you get the point. Why tf do y'all feel the need to do this? It's like watching a movie with a person who already watched it and they tell you how it ends, who the villain is, basically EVERYTHING in the first 10 seconds. Like, what joy do you get in spoiling it for everyone else?

I won't name the story, but this is pretty much applicable to every single story on Wattpad. Why do I always see this?

iluvspoilrz5631: REREADER

wrstpersnevar8752: omg iluvspoilrz this is my 4rd time reading lolz

WHY? What purpose does this serve? Do you get a cookie everytime you say you're rereading?

But, wait. Here's the worst part. They act like they're an exclusive club. I mean how many time have you seen "only readers will understand this."

I mean, you're just ruining the experience for everyone else. When I first read this book, I loved the comment section. In fact, the comment section is the only reason I love Wattpad so much. Y'all are hilarious. But, when I first read the book, it was ongoing not completed. Literally, nobody could spoil what was going to happen next because nobody except the author (and their beta readers) knew what was next.

As a fellow rereader, it is disappointing. I understand comments and reads help the author, but whenever I'm told spoilers it completely turns me off from the story. Why finish the story if I already know how it ends?

Welp, I have an essay to write for an 8 am lecture tomorrow and it's midnight.

...

And I haven't written anything.

...

And it's supposed to be 1,000 words.

...

Anywho, rereaders if you are reading a book and you want to just drop some spoilers in the comment section don't.
